COVID-19 vaccine is still a hot topic to be discussed..  I am optimistic that the vaccine will be found, but for the time being, we all cannot be sure. before the vaccine is really found and spread, we must protect our families against this virus infection.  at this time the US is still the country with the worst COVID-19 patients. Hopefully, with the reopening of casinos in Las Vegas, it doesn't make things worse..

It is still risky for them to open the casinos. Unlike other countries, we all know how people gather in Vegas and how it can be so risky in these times. Cases are still adding up and even though they follow the new normal, they would go out and might be contaminated by the virus outside the casino. It is still better to bet or wage online.

I don't often play in casinos. I do it for fun. For me, playing in an online casino and being in a real casino room are completely different things. Online casinos don't have the same festive atmosphere. I've only been to local casinos, which don't even make sense to compare to Las Vegas casinos.
Anyone who likes emotions in Las Vegas is unlikely to be able to get the same emotions in an online casino.

Humans though are social being, we are inherently wanted to go and be in a groups. However, I do agree that physical casino is not the best options for us right now because of the pandemic. And Las Vegas are simply opening because they need to make money as casinos are reportedly losing as high as 10% because of the lockdown. It's not just because people wanted to socialised in a casino, but gamblers need to play (win or lose) to keep casino going.

As far as I know, those old people, 60 and above are more vulnerable in this pandemic which is why they need to stay in their houses. I don't know about those people aged below 18. I think that is normal when it comes to lockdowns or maybe when it is curfew. There are cases there too of COVID in below 18 years of age and they are just so pitiful. Just imagine a 10-year-old being quarantined. Gamblers over 60 should just have fun doing it online.

Not many of the gamblers in their 60s and 70s are comfortable with the idea of online gambling. On top of that, gambling for them is an avenue for socializing. There will be no socializing if they do gambling online. I have said this previously... the clients for physical gambling differs a lot from those who indulge in online gambling. And this is the case in all the countries.

It is their decision though.

For me, those people over 60s should really stay at their homes. It is not advisable for them to go outside if they want something maybe they could use an application to let them buy that for them. If they really wanted to gamble, I think they should be also adapt from the situation and try online gambling. I know that it has no socializing at all or maybe boring for them but it is for their safety.

True, there are gamblers who are willing to break the law or risk themselves just to gamble in their usual ways.

Well, it is not just about 60-year-olds

People with chronic illnesses can fall prey to the virus as easily. Realistically, we don't know beforehand how any single individual is going to respond to the infection and whether he will pull through at all. 100 years ago the Spanish flu had been killing the healthy young people, which would be unfathomable if we didn't know that it was not the flu that was killing them (their own strong immune system had been the culprit)

They are losing even more as during this time, they can't expect to get their average, so the revenue would already reduce and more since they limit only 50% of the capacity.. I rarely go to the casino alone. We usually do this with our friends. So much fun. It's fun to compete who will win more money starting with the same amount of bets. You can't get such feelings in an online casino.

I think yes. But it depends since during lockdown, casinos there laid-off some of their employees and the worst, others might not able to come back especially on a work that can just be done or covered by remaining employees as also happened on other businesses.

I just hope that these employees will be considered again once casinos came back on their usual track. No new hiring but just call them to report for work. I understand the casino operators though as even they want to get back their employees to work, there is no assurance that gamblers will also come back and play given the current situation so for how much the expected revenue is still on a question.

Yeah tha surely right. Not all gamblers are rich and others just do it for fun and able to control themselves in addiction. Aside from that others are just there for socialization during boring times. Probably it will not be that many to be able to go in that casino.

Some gambler wants to see their luck by visiting the gambling place and playing some gambling games. The rich gamblers will be glad to come back to the gambling place because they will have the time to play physical gambling games and meet many people. With socialization, I think they can feel the experience of having contact with the other people face to face. That will give them another new experience while they cannot reach many people during the lockdown in many places.
