Chess involves a lot of analysis and predictions, and I don't think a lot of bettors would want to get involved with the flow of the game. Also, players are extremely unpredictable, and there are cases wherein a player with an elo of <2200 beats someone with a rating of more than 2500. On paper it does not seem like that is much of a difference but on chess, it's a huge gap already. Perhaps PVP chess games with something at stake is your best alternative, but that's already being implemented on multiple websites so I'm not sure what kind of approach this thing is situated with really.

Not gonna lie, twitch streamers that don't know shit about chess who tried hard to learn it is amusing, especially those pitting against GM Hikaru.

It's a boring game for those who are not good at it, I know a little about this game but I don't bother to improve and gain some skills as I'm not into this kind of games. I grow up watching my relatives playing basketball so it has been my hobby and overtime when I learn about sports betting I was tempted to starting betting in sports particular in basketball.

If we rank chess in the list of popular sports in the world, I don't where it rank.

in the top 25 popular sports I've found in the internet, chess is not included.

Ohh FYI guys, there's a blitz mode which has 5 minutes per player, it's a fast-phased game, unlike those online games you're betting which has 40-60 minutes per fight to know the winner. It's not only about the normal mode that takes a lot of time, obviously, it's very tiring and boring to watch.
I'm betting on those games 'cause I'm playing it too but then I realize, what about chess? I'm not good at it but I find those blitz games really cool tho.
I wonder if chess could possibly be implemented as an eSport game nowadays because I believe there are some engines that players could use without the opponent knowing, so with these, the game will not be fair unless both sides will agree that they will allow the management to inspect their system using third party application such as team viewer.

Though, for Blitz games which usually lasts 3-5mins, this could be good as engines will not be fast enough to find the best move in just a short period of time.
Actually it's possible, some of the tournament that I've mentioned is a blitz game so they can't use the popular chess engines like stockfish, Komodo and Houdini. Players on the chess sites that I've mentioned in the OP are also playing 5 minutes games 'cause they already knew about these engines. Grandmasters are also aware of it, actually, they are using it after the game to review their mistakes or to make a new strategy with it.

Streamers on twitch are also playing a 5 minutes game, so definitely it is possible as long as the mechanics are only 5-10 minutes. It is true that it'll ruin the tournament if the game has 30 minutes per player, they can use 3rd party programs on the other monitor while streaming. If someone is using a chess engine, higher-ratings chess players will notice it quickly for having a weird but a winning move. Stockfish and the other chess engine have a character, they always make odd movements but would definitely win. Chess engines are also playing with each other, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=akgalUq5vew you'll notice that some moves aren't human approach.

Chess involves a lot of analysis and predictions, and I don't think a lot of bettors would want to get involved with the flow of the game. Also, players are extremely unpredictable, and there are cases wherein a player with an elo of <2200 beats someone with a rating of more than 2500. Not gonna lie, twitch streamers that don't know shit about chess who tried hard to learn it is amusing, especially those pitting against GM Hikaru.
Chess are similar to League of Legends, Dota 2, and CS:GO which has more mechanics, analysis, and good decision making to win the game. If we're having a hard time on which to bet on a chess game, same goes for those online games that I've mentioned which has a lot of bettors. I've played those games and honestly speaking, there are many mechanics there which is a game-changer so even if you knew the team is very strong, you can still lose your bets. In order to win on those games, you need to study the game items, map rotations, counterplays, skills and so many more.

So most of the online games that we're betting right now have nothing different to Chess, actually, chess is much simpler for not having fancy designs and complex mechanics like those games. Some thought it's very hard and requires a lot of analysis because it's a medieval game but they didn't know that every time an online game releases patch notes (updates to the game), eSports players are stressing themselves to develop another strategy to win the fight.

Chess is not easy game to bet on. It included a lot of thinking, analysis, predictions and similar so it's not easy to predict result. I don't think chess attracts big number of gamblers. I guess that bet only people who play chess on themselves.
For me personaly it's too boring and I don't even consider chess to be a sport so it's never on my list for betting.

Most of peoples feel Chess is very bore game but I am feeling its depend on because when we play its really enjoying most of time we have some big group and doing many new experiments with this which help to many players for understanding new strategies and we use good time with this but still its not popular and have not feedback from big communities because they have not good feeling about this game in general.

The issue is not that chess is not popular, in fact if there is a game that has been discussed through history and has the most books published about it that would be chess, the issue is that many do not see chess as a game in which you could bet due to its intellectual nature, as such there is not really too many people wiling to bet on those matches, and as we know by the law of supply and demand if there is no demand from the public at large to bet on chess then casinos do not really feel the need to offer that possibility either.

As a chess enthusiast, I certainly hope that there is a sports betting platform that includes chess. Even if there is a chess tournament
the audience is very large, and also online chess games are very popular. Maybe some people don't consider chess as a sport. It is unfortunate
if there is no betting platform that is willing to enter chess, even though the viewers are quite high in my opinion. Hopefully in the future
there is a sports betting platform that includes chess.

LOL! Exactly. I bet that only a small ratio of players will be aroused to bet on this type of game, not even close to mainstream games shown on TV and any other media platforms.
Chess is fascinating game but it applies only to a selected population of geeks.

Indeed, many have only started trying chess due to their boredom in quarantine because most sports that are often crowded had been stop due to the pandemic especially NBA and even boxing (in which recently re-opened in many countries). With that being said, the popularity of chess is still in fact less than what a fascinating streaming game should be. Also, not everyone loves math, strategy and tactics lol Cheesy

but op said chess now becoming popular on streaming platforms and also there lots of streamers with them which means many people are also interested on it   .

we shouldnt under estimate this game and most of all we shouldnt laugh at it just because its now old and many new fun games are now available ,  keep in mind  that without chess , the world would have been boring before  because chess is one of those pioneer games  . by the way i dont know how to play a chess but that is what i see  .

Nope, as I've said, chess only were been used and being popular due to the fact that most gamers and streamers are bored and want to have unique content. I didn't intend to underestimate chess as I've also been a player whom won numerous medals and tournaments in chess. I'm just stating the fact that chess isn't really good for streaming and fun content. AFAIK it was just famous by streamers because of Tyler1 whom aren't that good enough in it and shouts on his videos lol.

We have a saying here in Australia that people will bet on two flies crawling up a wall if they had the chance.  The Portable Apps platform has a number of Chees Games, some of which link into highly competitive online platforms where players take their game as passionately as Texas Hold Em or any other online multiplayer competition.

Its a sport but not really that much attractive at all and only people who do have idea about on whats chess will really enjoy it out and also it do really involves
critical thinking.

Just said that if theres no demand then there would be no considerations for this one to be included by bookies.Yeah its a boring game and if there were bettors
then i can say that every bets would really be unpredictable basing of that players efficiency towards its chess pieces moves.

Well, chess has it's last renaissance during the 70's with Kasparov and Karpov, I still remember it being played in the streets as sort of past time that time and then evolved as being used to 'hussle', like 3 card monte.

But I would agree that the game is somewhat boring and bettors are looking for exciting game specially with the physical aspect (contact sports). So I doubt it will have the support specially at today's time wherein football, UFC, basketball is the top pick for sports bettor.

There is even an argument that chess is not a sport because it doesn't involved any physical activity but that's debatable. I know how to play chess but I'm not really into it though. So I was really surprise to see top rank players into Twitch today, good exposure.

But I couldn't see how sports bookies will pick chess though, unless there is a huge demand in the future then probably we might see it on some platform. But is this due to the lock down though? It's going to be interesting to see if the trend in Twitch continue post-pandemic.

The thing is if esports and other sports can be manipulated so do chess and it's more likely to have than the others, match fixing is the one I fear on this kind of thing.

I would like to close with a disclaimer: sports betting can be addictive and one should not be fooled by attractive offers to begin betting on chess. In the long run, the bookie always wins and if need be he will regain his money when people bet on soccer — which is a real gamble.

Here's an opinion from a dummy who just have a very few knowledge on how to play the game. I tried it once but I didn't pursue maybe because we doesn't have it at home or doesn't play it with friends when I was young.  I agree that players have to really think, its hard too just like some esports today. Strategies, predictions and analysis etc.

I think this game will have its bettors too, specially who knows how to play it, there's a lot of players until today that I've seen playing it in my country. I'm not into it until now maybe because I doesn't feel the urge to learn it from the time being because it has its own type of entertainment. Maybe its just me, I'm into hype sports, loud one, exciting with every move. Imagine having a chess shoutcasted by a dota shoutcaster for example, every solid move, every solid chess move. I'm just into team players, those hype games, I want to be relaxed playing and not work my mind again after a long tiring work. In chess, you have to keep thinking, and obviously you need to focus and concentrate.

I watch streamers play different games that I didn't even know, I enjoy watching Valorant streams right now and nope I didn't play it, same with other console games.  I think when I watch chess stream it will be hard for me to stay with it or bet with it because of how silent it is. Its entertaining when you know how to play it but the appearance of it, the visual of someone playing it will not be that entertaining especially if you don't even know how to play it. However, I strongly agree that it will have its audience, its bettors, and those who will enjoy it.

GM Hikaru started streaming on Twitch and seemed really committed to it. Magnus Carlsen also started streaming later than him.
The attention Hikaru was getting attracted a Chess.com sponsorship for a tournament and Chess was becoming the most viewed games any time a popular streamer or two would join a GM to start playing together.
You can see that Chess on Twitch.com has been peaking above 100k lately and gaining subscribers at an increasing rate, with a large uptick lately.

Gambling on chess surely has a bright future and I hope more bitcoin-focused bookmakers will feature it also. But it surely is something else.
The special secrets and tricks for betting on chess can take long to discuss and might be a whole other thread of their own. It would surely be interesting to get into such betting with some good advice to get started on.

It's actually an interesting game. It's good for helping or encouraging the mind to solve problems.  I also wondered why I don't see it discussed or listed here.
I guess I remember reading in the past where chess pro compete with super computers or something. Those are part of what got me  interested in the game.

In my opinion, it still a good way to earn money by betting on the chess game. I myself also play board games like chess and checkers. I even have a book of checkers that you can study to become a good player. Even though not many people play chess but in my point of view watching a game of chess is also entertaining on what move will a player make.

On the side of streaming
There's a bunch of streamers on twitch that's playing chess right now and you can't believe that it has a lot of viewers. One of those popular streamers is GM Hikaru, he also played on those tournaments that I've mentioned. Even the top 1 overall rating, GM Magnus Carlsen, is also streaming in twitch.

Are you pertaining to Tyler1?? LOL that shoutcasting gamer is in fact popular due to his entertaining streams that's why some of his watchers /viewers started to be interested in playing chess and other streamer follows. Meanwhile, GMs are already famous in streaming live games and even on stage performances but mostly with no betting or gambling involved (some are tournaments). But overall, like betting in boxing, games could be fixed if one prefers to accept bribe over winning hence the bet takers wins in the end.

That's how it is. When there is some thing that is entertaining many people will also be interested in it. Let's just hope that there will be more and more people will get interested in playing chess. After all, chess game is a game of strategy on what you will do to beat your opponent.
