u know that groestl algo by definition is very asic friendly? it would be very easy create groestl asics just the coin value was not worth to produce them http://rijndael.ece.vt.edu/sha3/there is a reason why DMD Diamond did switch from (groestl)POW/POS hybrid to pure POS3 + masternode technology https://bit.diamonds/because POW is outdated way to secure a chain with waste of valuable electric energy

About Groestlcoin http://www.groestlcoin.org/1. Asic Resistant – A GPU Miner’s Heaven which makes the mining distribution of this coin fairer and more even so as to appease all kinds of mining folks of all shapes and sizes. 2. Multipool Resistant – basically makes it far less likely for a fork to be stuck in the coin creating all sorts of anomalies and problems. Taking out the multipool problem levels out even more fair distribution through proof of work among smaller pools and miners. 3. Highly profitable for all miners. You can mine with your old laptop and still turn over a profit which makes GROESTL COIN really the PEOPLE’S COIN! 4. Energy saving and lower power usage. Due to having the GPU mining GRS algorithm GROESTL coin is really economical to mine and if you are residing in a hot country this is the coin to mine as power costs are far less. 5. There is a 6% block reward decrease weekly which makes it a really lucrative coin for long term investment unlike pump and dump coinage. 6. Extremely interested and growing community that is backing the coin for its proven innovation and contributions to the Technological Advancement of Crypto Currency. 7. Active DEVELOPMENT Team – Hardworking to ensure the smooth running of the Coin. There are major development releases every 3 months!

This is not actually a good argument for this. It is possible that 1 big commit can have far much more code than 5 small commits.

there is a reason why DMD Diamond did switch from (groestl)POW/POS hybrid to pure POS3 + masternode technology https://bit.diamonds/because POW is outdated way to secure a chain with waste of valuable electric energy Reason why DMD switched is not because of the groestl algo. Don't trick users here. POS will NEVER be better than POW.

I am not talking about commits. I am talking about several projects that github consists of (the 30 wallets and libraries we have worked on since 3 years). Techwise we have everything already in place that other coins are still working on. offtopic: i would prefer the 5 small but well documented commits than 1 ugly big commit

OK! so i got the miner set up now and it looks like im mining, but my GPU isnt doing anything at all - its just sitting on idle mode. also im only getting about 2500kh/s - which is pretty low for a 1070 GTX. :-(

by tech side I think this is one of the most progressive coins for now. And taking into account how devs are working, I think it always will be like that.
