Although the whole market is red, I'm very much afraid of holding ETH now. In my opinion, ETH was fluctuated to its ATH when people were more interested investing in ICO. Nowadays ICO is almost dead. That is why it has less demand. I don't think it will get another ATH soon.
What's your thoughts on it?

yeah, ETH was on ATH when ICO frenzy was at the peak, but would not call that as the only reason, it was a main reason for ATH, ETH now is much better developed, more used and DeFi is on the move on Ethereum network, so there are reason for ETH to go up, of course do your own research prior to investment, but keep in mind that ETH is on the second position on crypto list |

If you already are holding ETH, I'd recommend to hold it longer. ETH has many planned upgrades coming and most importantly the ETH 2.0 upgrade that would change the algo to POS and would probably introduce shrading which is said to ease the scalability issue and probably increase transaction speed. The POS implementation would also limit the number of new generated coins which would bring a decrease in issue of coins than current rate.

DeFi trend is here. Most of DeFi projects are built on ETH blokchain. There are projects built on other blockchains but ETH is a most favorite one for DeFi developers. The chart of ETH tells us that the coin is undervalued and does not see a real pump recent months. If you look at DASH, Stellar, Dogecoin, etc. They are coins from the old generations and they are pumped. I don't know so I can not tell you when it happens but ETH will be pumped some day. Hold it and wait for its pump. |

If you are on doubt, then just look for another coin to invest. But if I were to share my own experienced, ethereum never let me down.
Nothing to worry about, eth will still give a good performance if the market pumps. Been holding some of it and at the moment I am still holding. Not only eth is at bearish moment, other altcoins too. I don't think it's reasonable that we blame for the ICO failures. One particular coin has a time to shine.

I agree with you that the ICO is dead, and it has made ETH as bad as it is now. If the ICO were still alive, the price of ETH would have gone up to $ 3,000-4000 or higher. But anyway, ETH is still the best altcoin in this market and perfectly suitable for you to buy and hold in the long term. |

ICO just gave temporary hype for ethereum price but ethereum here for too long so which itself a good reason to hold ethereum.Also Defi and ETH 2.0 can give another hype which needed for price to increase but we can only feel the real bullish trend on ethereum price when bitcoin turns out to be bullish until that people have time to accumulate ethereum. |

Unless the defi project will help the eth to increase the demand and get back the old trust of investors before they make many failed ICO using the platform. This is the only hope of ETH if they failed this time this coins will never have any more demand and we will never see another ATH. also include that they always postpone the release of ETH 2.0 that can make hype for ETH that can also help the price. |

In my opinion, ETH has great prospects than any other altcoin even presently. Its personal opinion to hold or not, but you should know that ETH coming upgrade will create positive impact even with the price, everything being equal but not a must. Probably you are not following what is trending with crypto market right now, which is DEFI (Decentralized Finance), and the propagator of this whole concept is Ethereum. |

Did you heard about defi? yes ICO is an old system the newest is defi platforms that built on eth smartcontracts and currently there are almost $1.5B eth locked in defi ecosystem and almost every week I can see new defi projects just imagine if this new projects boom in the next year very much eth value will also explode. |

Ethereum is doing well in the market since Q4 2019, it has gained more value in BTC in the period from 0.18 to 0.26 which I consider a better success than the dollar increase and this pump is not sudden which makes it attractive. Vitalik revealed that the release of the ETH 2. could be in stages and may not take as long as some speculate. Eth hoarding has increased and the position in the CMC indicate the financial capacity compare to other smart contract. |

For long-term ETH is a really good coin to hold in my opinion. If you can hold it then I think you might be able to get some good profit in future when the FOMO hits for ETH 2.0 release. Only problem is there is no official release date yet. |

I don't think every market is red. There's a couple of winners when it comes to daily markets and some are over 30% gain as well. There is a lot of traction when it comes to ETH now because there are a lot of Ponzi Schemes that lurk around and are enticing you to deposit a lot of your money to their wallets. It could bring a lot of transaction but I don't know if it could raise the price to ATH.

If I have 5 ethereum, I will hold the ethereum until the price increase. But if I have 10 or more ethereum, I will use some of the ethereum to trade pair altcoin because I see that some altcoin can move well in the ethereum pair. So I am sure that I will have a chance to buy low and sell high for the altcoin, and I can make more ethereum. That will help me to get more ethereum amount by trading ethereum pair altcoin. Why not? ETH is major altcoin. i already bought eth since the price $150 and looks now, i think eth is good for invest. And in the future in my opinion eth will more valuable and maybe can break ATH again.

I would not expect ATH to be achieved for ETH. but I save this asset for the long term. eth still has great potential for growth. I believe this will be an asset with a surprising increase when the bitcoin pump is run.

If you are afraid in investing and hesitating then there is no way that you will listen to us right?why dare to ask us here when you seems to be already know whats the answer? But if you will ask me personally?ICO is dead now right but ETH is not only depending in ICO using because gamblers now also uses EThereum as their betting structure and they also find this currency profitable to Hold. Most specially that now the incoming ETH2.0 is near and people in ethereum community only waited for this to happen to get their profits. |
