Is it about guessing the score or choosing a win, in the tournament.

I've started.



Can you explain a little to me in the game, because I'm a little lazy to read the last few rules on all gambling sites.
In short, if you want to give me some rules, don't go into too much detail, just the pegs, in the game.

First of all you are not late for Serie A pool since the games start on 20th September which gives you more than enough time to pay the fee and make the picks. I am also running La Liga pool which starts tomorrow, and hilariusandco is running Premier League pool which starts in two days.

Rules/details are same for all the pools.
1. Superbru is not the gambling site it is just a place where we put our predictions and get points for that. Gambling part is done here on the forum where you have to pay buy in and if you do good well you get prizes at the end of season. Check OP for more details
2. You have to predict correct scores for all the games in the league. If you manage to get correct scores that gives you 3 points, if you manage to get just winner that gives you 1 point, close scores give you 1.5 points
example:
you predict Roma - Juve will end 1:2; if the game ends 1:2 you get 3 points, if the game ends 0:2 you get 1.5 points and if the games end 0:4 you get 1 point. If Roma wins or the game ends up as draw you get 0 points
3. Superbru automatically calculates the scores for us and we use it as a base to pay out the rewards.

It is actually very simple once you start playing, you just give your best to enter the scores for the games Superbru asks you every week and everything else is done automatically. Hopefully, I managed to explain it well enough and you decide to join

Finally, I'm going to get my first point from the pool, thanks to Napoli 2 - 0 win over Parma, I went with exact score initially but then a thought about how Napoli fared in the end of last season made me change my pick to 2-1

I didn't have quite a lot of info to be honest before the first round and thus based some of my predictions wrongly. For example I somehow didn't remember that Verona's coach is Ivan Juric. If I remembered that I would not put Roma to win 0:2 for sure. There are more examples too, but round 1 was a good learning experience.

Know I now not to put too optimistic scores, it is better to downplay a bit. Like instead putting 4:1 for Milan it would've been much better to put 3:1

It just shows how little actual knowledge helps when we have single round results to go by. I am watching and researching Premier League far more then Serie A and I am having horror time in that pool.

There is 11 of us in the pool. We have 0.0375 BTC in the pool, 0,0275 from fees and 0,01 thanks to our sponsor BitcoinPRBuzz.com

Pool is open for joining until the end of game week 4. After game week 4 I will add prizes to the OP and then there will be no more changes.


Prize structure:
First place: 0,018 BTC
Second place: 0,01 - 0.011 BTC *
Third place: 0.005 BTC
Highest round score among all the rounds: 0.0035BTC

*All the transaction fees will be paid from second place prize since this is the one I boosted the most from my initial idea.

Disclaimer:
There will be no sharing of the prizes, prizes will be paid out as per Superbru ranking. Even if 2 participants have same points, Superbru has some tie breakers implemented so the prize goes to the participant that is listed first. In case the league gets cancelled for whatever reason (covid or something else) the rewards will be paid as mentioned above if more than half of the games has been played. If not, I will return the money or we will make a pool for next season.

Decent start for me, i got all games correct except for Sassuolo, them scoring under 2 goals is the most shocking and unexpected thing that happened over the weekend.

Roma have been punished with a 3-0 defeat for fielding an ineligible player against Hellas Verona in their Serie A opener on Saturday.

Does that mean Superbru has to adjust the game result/scores for everyone? I'm asking because i have 1 point out of this match and i don't want to give it away.

I don't know why, but now on Superbru there is shown that match endedd 0:0. So, I think that Superbru are going to fix it and make it to 3:0 Verona win. Bookmakers probably will react to it too. I don't know what exactly they will do. If you had Roma to win, most likely that they simply deduct money that you won from your ballance.

No They settle bets according to the official result after the game has finished and they won't change anything (days) later. It's in every bookmaker general rules, for example here from bwin:

B1.5 Amendment (24 hour rule):

The company recognises only those results which have been achieved on the playing field or platform. Results amounting from disciplinary measures from a sports' court or another court of law are not considered. In case of violation of sports laws, the company reserves the right to freeze the winnings and withhold payment.

Exception: All bets referring to the final result of the event/tournament will be settled on the official result published by the governing authority of the respective sport/league/event - usually right after the end of the event. If the official result is changed within 24 hours after the end of the event by the respective governing body then the company reserves the right to correct settlement accordingly (i.e. already paid out winnings will be made undone after which bets will be settled according to the amended result). If an event/tournament is not completed for whatever reasons (e.g. bad weather, crowd problems, etc.) but there is an official result given by the governing authority within 24 hours then only bets on the winner of the event/tournament will be settled accordingly. If no result is declared by the governing body of the sport/league/event within 24 hours after the end of the event all bets which were not completed at the time of abandonment will be deemed void. This also applies to long term bets. Any changes to rankings made after 24 hours after the end of the event for whatever reasons, will not be taken into consideration when the outcome of the bet is decided.

In this case, even if the decision was made inside 24 hours, bwin wouldn't have changed the settlement imo, since they made good money with Roma not winning. They just reserve the right to do so.....bookies T&C's

And this rule makes sense in general. Imagine bookies would have to change things years after bets were settled, f.e. for doping cases in the Olympics, where medals were revoked years later. Or Lance Armstrong and his Tour de France wins......this would be a big chaos.

What tyKiwanuka said, just wanted to write something similar but he was faster. I am quite sure no bookie will change that result unless some of them decide to use it as some promo. Have no idea what Superbru will do but I believe they will also leave the result which was played and not change to what was agreed behind the curtains.

Even if we disregard the T&C which usually gives bookies the right to do what they want I must say that in this case I believe that is more fair and logical for all parties to keep the original score.

Yeah, this won't affect most bookies and I think most bettors wouldn't ask for it either. You play for the result, not for official decisions later on, that's football and the flow and referee decision is accepted.

Yes, even if it turns out the match was fixed. Imagine all the bookie nightmare that seasons Juve got stripped off their championship!

Thank you guys for correcting me. I just probably never had bets where match result was changed few days after it was played.
BTW, when I made my post above I was sure that Roma won the game, but I completely forgot that it ended 0-0 . So, Superbru haven't changed anything. I see that just one of us had predicted draw in this game.

Cagliari scored and conceded a goal in the first round, Lazio played very efficiently last season and the previous five mutual matches, both teams scored a goal, a both to score or an over 2.5 with Lazio to win can be an option.

Sampdoria played well at home last season and Benevento played some weak away matches away in Serie B, I'm giving an advantage to Sampdoria in this match.

Inter is a much better team at the moment, Fiorentina struggled in the first round at home and historically Inter has been much more successful in mutual games, so yes, I am giving a handicap advantage here.

Lazio were really unlucky last season I think. They were headed in an upward momentum until Covid stopped them. Most other clubs benefitted from the rest and break but not Lazio.

Got one of my fav midfielders (Lucas Leiva) who I hope gets over his injuries because without him they're not as solid in midfield. Inter should also have won last season but they kept getting idiotic after taking leads so I'm really not sure. That said, they do give good value odds because of that instability.
