You really want to beat a dead horse, and turn this topic into another suchmoon sermon about suchmoon’s opinion of how to use the trust system?

  • Before your post, I noticed that minerjones had changed his feedback to neutral, for whatever reason.  (That’s his call.)  Why are you still arguing?
  • As for me, by the way:  I only posted here because a participant in this thread sent me a PM asking me to explain why I had sent merit to minerjones.  So—I explained, publicly.  I don’t want to be a killjoy, or derail a thread in which I have not chosen to participate.

I think that the folks who want these interviews can now return to whatever they were doing.

The rating was changed to neutral hours ago.
A reasonable resolution so I don't see any need in carrying on in this vein. Back to the interviews sounds like a good plan

There's a button on the Inbox menu "Report to Admin" if something feels like it's an unsolicited PM. This isn't solely to the issue around here in this thread but I address it to the whole community if ever they think they receive a message as unsolicited.

1. When and why did you become interested in cryptocurrencies?
It was late of 2015 when I first read about it but back then most of the investment platforms offer cloud minings.

2. When and why did you buy your first bitcoin?
After I read about the necessary information on how to invest, I quickly deposit some cash to try my first investment which is of course in the cloud mining site.

3. How did you get on the forum?
I came to the forum in July 2017 and only visited once when I register. it was never my plan to get here but a task that asked me to sign up for 100 forums English sites, included Bitcointalk. Only after a year in March 2018 I get back here with the help of my friend.

4.1. What prevents the mass adoption of cryptocurrencies?
Back then, it was the volatility of the market and some people think of it as a scam method to attract people. Including the hacking of the exchanges will prevent mass adoption as well.

4.2. How do you think mass advertising of gambling projects has a positive effect on the development of the forum or harms the community?
I don't know about this one, In my opinion, so far so good there hasn't any problem until today.

4.3. How do you consider whether 2-3 years of experience in cryptocurrency is enough to successfully invest or does an investor need to receive special education?
It depends on how people understand what they read in this community. as you can see, all of the necessary information is right here and most of the people here know a thing or two about the basic and up to advanced technology of blockchain. In this case, a few months will do.

5. What do you think of the current Merit system and signature campaigns?  Do they harm the forum?
The merit system has helped this forum to control spam in the most effective way for years now. As for the signature campaigns, the manager should carefully select their participants because some of those people don't really care about their posts and sometimes they've posted the weekly quota in just 1-2 days.

6. The most useful forum topic? Most helpful users?
I rather say the most useful board in the community. I'd say the Beginners & Help board has lots of information for the new and veterans members. not only that, most of those seniors have their own opinions about the topic there. which will give us more knowledge about the topics.

7. 3 things you would implement on the forum?
Who viewed your profile and user's last action.

8. Do you trade on exchanges or invest in projects?
Most of the time I'm trading, sometimes invest in some projects that I think it's worth investing my money with.

9. Tell a story about your big profit or big loss?
If you really read those stories about how they failed and lost on big opportunities, it won't happen to you since I read most of them. it didn't happen to me. All I had was a big profit which helps me a lot even before this pandemic.

10. What do you think about the DEFI ecosystem?
To be honest, I don't really know how this thing works but base on the people's response, this must be one of those unique ecosystems we've ever had and it's working properly.

11. Is your anonymity a vital necessity or precaution?
That's the most important of all, Our anonymity which is a vital part of being a member of this community.

12. The last cryptocurrency book you read?
As for the books, I rarely read them. I am more into topic discussions. But if you want to read more of those books, you can go to my topic and have some look. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5144671

13. Advise 3 cryptocurrencies/tokens for investment in the next 1-2 years?
I can't, my tip is, you guys do your own research and continue learning until you are ready to invest in what project you want to invest your money with.

14. How much will Bitcoin cost at the end of 2020?
At this rate, most likely it will stay on the $10,000+ mark. It won't go less than that.

15. P.S. (Optional)

That's all I can say about it, until now I'm still learning and contributing to the community about some knowledge that I learned in the past years.

1. When and why did you become interested in cryptocurrencies?
-I was a kid when it was released and most of my knowledge back then about it is on Youtube. Coincidentally at the time, I have fascinations about cryptography and Cicada 3301 and the enigma that surrounds bitcoin fits the bill.
2. When and why did you buy your first bitcoin?
-I bought my first bitcoin when I was in senior highschool.
3. How did you get on the forum?
-A friend introduced me, the first years was an on and off because of school works.
4.1. What prevents mass adoption of cryptocurrencies?
-There are a lot of things that prevents mass adoption, the biggest one in my opinion is education targeted to the masses who doesn't know about bitcoin. Second is the nation itself, if they do not support or consider it, mass adoption will be difficult if no one in power endorses.
4.2. How do you think mass advertising of gambling projects has a positive effect on the development of the forum or harms the community?
-To be honest it has positive effect, the advertising campaign of gambling projects helped people earn their keep. To be fair, gambling in cryptocurrency is just one of many sides of cryptocurrency.
4.3. How do you consider whether 2-3 years of experience in cryptocurrency is enough to successfully invest or does an investor need to receive special education?
-I believe that life is a constant learning, 2-3 years is enough so you can stand on your own feet though. Regarding education, that is subjective to an individual, there are people who became who they without education and vice versa.
5. What do you think of the current Merit system and signature campaigns?  Do they harm the forum?
-Merit system is pretty helpful in making sure that posts in this forum are of quality. Signature campaigns is helpful too because it creates a mutual relationship towards forum members by paying for joining the campaign and the owners of the project getting their project advertised. I do not think they harm the forum.
6. The most useful forum topic? Most helpful users?
-The topic depends on users, newbies could benefit from topic that guides them on the basics. Aspiring traders could benefit from topic that is related to trading and cryptocurrency news. I generalized the answer because there is no one topic useful. Helpful users are those veteran from the forum, they guide other newbies if they are deserving of guidance and scam buster users, no explanation needed for this one.
7. 3 things you would implement on the forum?
  • Merit Notification
  • Art Board
  • IP ban for confirmed scammers
8. Do you trade on exchanges or invest in projects?
-As of now, I am still saving funds so I can trade and invest at the same time. Regarding investing, maybe on established ones like gambling sites.
9. Tell a story about your big profit or big loss?
-I haven't trade yet but surely I will tell my story when it happens.
10. What do you think about the DEFI ecosystem?
-It has potential, it is still on its infancy and I think everyone should protect the progress at all costs because scums are exploiting the system because it still a youngling.
11. Is your anonymity a vital necessity or precaution?
-Vital necessity, in this world of social media, privacy is a commodity.
12. The last cryptocurrency book you read?
-Haven't read a book in awhile and most of my collection is fiction.
13. Advise 3 cryptocurrencies/tokens for investment in the next 1-2 years?
  • Bitcoin
  • Litecoin
  • Ethereum
Take my answers with a grain of salt, they are the most popular but that does not mean that they should be invested in.
14. How much will Bitcoin cost at the end of 2020?
-I do not speculate but my guess would be around 15k to 20k
15. P.S. (Optional)
-Thank you for the interview.

Hello zasad@.
Sorry for the late response as I was busy this past few weeks.
But, it will be a great pleasure answering this interview.  Wink
Quote
1. When and why did you become interested in cryptocurrencies?
2015. Free money, faucets. (set aside hypocrisy)
Quote
2. When and why did you buy your first bitcoin?
2017. As an investment. Yeah, I am the worst. Took 2 and a half years to trust bitcoin.
Quote
3. How did you get on the forum?
A friend suggested it to me so I can learn more.
Quote
4.1. What prevents mass adoption of cryptocurrencies?
Government. Merchants doubting because of volatility.
Quote
4.2. How do you think mass advertising of gambling projects has a positive effect on the development of the forum or harms the community?
IMO, its okay, keeps the forum lively.
Quote
4.3. How do you consider whether 2-3 years of experience in cryptocurrency is enough to successfully invest or does an investor need to receive special education?
For me its enough but it should not stop there. Keep learning and be updated on every event.
Quote
5. What do you think of the current Merit system and signature campaigns?  Do they harm the forum?
No, I don't think so. The merit system was a great move from theymos. It's like a filter.
Signature campaigns are really helpful for members to be more pumped in making attractive posts rather than just "thumbs up" and "great project".
Quote
6. The most useful forum topic? Most helpful users?
Personally, I have my own helpful user that also helped me to learn from scratch. harizen
Topics. There's a lot especially in the beginners section where I mostly read. I'd like to think I am still a beginner every day.
Quote
7. 3 things you would implement on the forum?
1 is already difficult and you made it 3?  Grin
I can say I am already okay with the rules here.
Quote
8. Do you trade on exchanges or invest in projects?
I traded before with my bounties. I did invest with projects too, ICO's. But, I stopped and just focused on the 2 main cryptocurrencies which is BTC and ETH.
Quote
9. Tell a story about your big profit or big loss?
It was a bounty token. 20k USD profit just waiting for a big swing. Also, my biggest loss when I became greedy looking for more.
Quote
10. What do you think about the DEFI ecosystem?
It's the same event with ICO. Hype and everything. Don't want to get mixed up with it just yet.
Quote
11. Is your anonymity a vital necessity or precaution?
Necessity. In this pandemic, more people are using internet and they are learning.
Not all will try to learn the good side of it and try to abuse the technology.
So anonymity and security is a necessity now.
Quote
12. The last cryptocurrency book you read?
None.
Quote
13. Advise 3 cryptocurrencies/tokens for investment in the next 1-2 years?
BTC, ETH and LTC.
Quote
14. How much will Bitcoin cost at the end of 2020?
$13k
15. I didn't know it will be that long. But thanks for the opportunity zasad@.

1. When and why did you become interested in cryptocurrencies?

8 years ago, in 2012. I heard about Bitcoin for the first time in 2011 when one Ukrainian guy with whom I was freelancing asked me whether I would accept the payment in BTC. But back then I thought that it was some ponzi and refused his offer. I took Bitcoins seriously only in 2012.

2. When and why did you buy your first bitcoin?

If I remember correctly, in 2013 February. I received an unexpected bonus from my company, and a part of that fund went to investment in BTC.

3. How did you get on the forum?

I was searching for more information about BTC. This forum came up multiple times in Google search. So it was only natural to create an account.

4.1. What prevents mass adoption of cryptocurrencies?

There are multiple issues: negative coverage from the media, lack of legal status in many of the countries, prevalence of scams, volatility in exchange rates and a general thinking that online assets are more prone to scams are some of them.

4.2. How do you think mass advertising of gambling projects has a positive effect on the development of the forum or harms the community?

When I first entered the cryptocurrency sector, a large part of the Bitcoin transactions were linked to Satoshi Dice. A lot of new users got in to Bitcoin because of Satoshi Dice. Now it will be ungrateful to badmouth the gambling sector.

4.3. How do you consider whether 2-3 years of experience in cryptocurrency is enough to successfully invest or does an investor need to receive special education?

I have more than 8 years experience in cryptocurrency and even then I got scammed a few times recently.

5. What do you think of the current Merit system and signature campaigns?  Do they harm the forum?

My opinion is that both of them are beneficial. The first one prevents spamming and it helps to identify the best users. The signature campaigns help smaller projects to get advertisement, and at the same time it helps the ordinary users.

6. The most useful forum topic? Most helpful users?

I find the threads in Scam Accusations and Reputation sub-forums most helpful. It educates the users about potential scams.

7. 3 things you would implement on the forum?

1. Creation of a rank higher than Legendary
2. More users with merit-source power
3. Expansion of market-place subforum

8. Do you trade on exchanges or invest in projects?

I have accounts with dozens of exchanges, but I haven't traded recently. Back in 2013/14, I invested in a lot of projects and most of them turned out to be scams. Now I do that very rarely.

9. Tell a story about your big profit or big loss?

I purchased BTC in January 2013, for $10 per coin. The rest is history.  Grin

10. What do you think about the DEFI ecosystem?

DeFi shows a lot of promise. But I have a feeling that it is getting overhyped.

11. Is your anonymity a vital necessity or precaution?

A lot of times the hackers tried to steal coins from my wallet, so I am a bit nervous about my anonymity. If we reveal our email id, real identity or even the size of the holdings, the criminals can use these details to steal the coins. I try to remain as much anonymous as I can.

12. The last cryptocurrency book you read?

Nope. Never read any.

13. Advise 3 cryptocurrencies/tokens for investment in the next 1-2 years?

Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash and Cardano.

14. How much will Bitcoin cost at the end of 2020?

I don't expect much change. May be around $12,000 per coin.

i was invited to do an interview and answers on these 15 (17) questions, so here they are:

1. When and why did you become interested in cryptocurrencies?
- i was long involved into financial markets, and heard about bitcoin in 2013, but did not become that interested since the bull run in 2017, primary reason for interest was earning in bitcoin investment, but during 2018 i have learned a lot about cryptocurrencies, and i could say that earning money is not primary motive anymore, i think that cryptocurrencies will become standard for many industries in this decade

2. When and why did you buy your first bitcoin?
- actually, first bitcoin i have bought in April 2020, after a small recovery from March lows, but have to say that my first purchase was Ether, that i have bought multiple times in 2019, and LTC, that have bought in 2019 as well

3. How did you get on the forum?
- it was not intentional, during Google search, in January 2018, first period spent on bounties only, but at the moment interested in many subjects, primarily in Gambling topics

4.1. What prevents mass adoption of cryptocurrencies?
- at the moment, you need to be tech-savvy to use most of cryptocurrencies, and for mass adoption we need possibility of recovery (custody or bank) for your funds, since most people are not used to the fact that they are the only responsible person for their funds
4.2. How do you think mass advertising of gambling projects has a positive effect on the development of the forum or harms the community?
- it is questionable, and hard to answer, since i gamble responsibly, but there are many people that are trying their luck with funds that are not supposed to be lost, and that is why i do think that gambling advertisement should be responsible as well (i am trying to include advise to bet on what you can afford to lose now and there), gambling with beer money is actually bringing much fun, but it is very hard to live on gambling earnings
4.3. How do you consider whether 2-3 years of experience in cryptocurrency is enough to successfully invest or does an investor need to receive special education?
- it depends what you were doing during these 2-3 years Smiley, i think that with cryptocurrencies at this stage, one needs constant education, since there are new products and developments every day, and formal education would give you some to start with, but industry is evolving at a rapid pace, and constant skills improvement is needed for one to be successful investor

5. What do you think of the current Merit system and signature campaigns?  Do they harm the forum?
- i do think that Merit system is good for forum, it improved my writing in the first place, but i do think that there should be a requirement for members that reached certain status to have some amount of merits periodically, or to be relegated to lower status (there are too many members with Hero/Legendary status, with 500, 1000 merits, received at the start of Merit system, without any merit received afterwards), so maybe addition that, for example, Hero should get 2 merits a month, to retain status would be a good option

6. The most useful forum topic? Most helpful users?
- for me, most useful is Croatian local board, i am Serb native, but since Serbia does not have a local board, and active community, i am mostly active in Croatian local board, and there are very interesting information there and strong community
- from a complete forum, i think that Scam Accusation is very important part of the forum, in a young industry like this, where a lot of people is not aware of possibilities with cryptocurrencies, and could be easily scammed in the learning process

7. 3 things you would implement on the forum?
- first: already mentioned changes in Merit system, to have periodic merit requirement to retain status
- second: assign moderators to local boards, to have a possibilities to change something in local boards
- third: added sub-topic for new developments in cryptocurrencies, which should cover DeFi and NFT at the moment, but many other products in the future

8. Do you trade on exchanges or invest in projects?
- actually, i have accounts on a few exchanges, but mostly investing at the moment, do not trade a lot, rarely when there is a good possibility

9. Tell a story about your big profit or big loss?
- bought Ether in the beginning of 2019, and there is a good profit on that investment at the moment, as well as bitcoin in April 2020, which is still in holdings as well, with 100+% profit

10. What do you think about the DEFI ecosystem?
- it is very risky at the moment, there is a lot of scamming there, but i am involved in LP on Uniswap and Justswap, thinking about Flamingo as well at the moment

11. Is your anonymity a vital necessity or precaution?
- it is a precaution, do not think that it is vital since i do not have large amounts of money involved in the industry and i do not trade anything illegal

12. The last cryptocurrency book you read?
- currently read my first book - The Infinite Machine: How an Army of Crypto-hackers Is Building the Next Internet with Ethereum, but read a lot of articles on medium, where the subject is discussed

13. Advise 3 cryptocurrencies/tokens for investment in the next 1-2 years?
- think that bitcoin and ethereum is always good to buy, but i would mention three less-known projects, that I am invested in, that are:
THETA - video delivery project
REN - inter-blockchain liquidity project
VIDT - document verification on block-chain project

14. How much will Bitcoin cost at the end of 2020?
- i am not that good at predicting prices, but for the sake of the interview, will say 13k USD, nevertheless, it is more important that 1 BTC will be 1 BTC at the end of 2020, as well as at the end of each year after that, and that will be 1 from 21 million always

15. P.S. (Optional)
- thanks for the opportunity to be involved in the interview, hopefully someone will find some of these answers useful Smiley

1. When and why did you become interested in cryptocurrencies?
I was never really get interested in bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies even as of the moment. However, there is a spark that i will be probably having the interest in the part of investing bitcoin. Yet, the current market of bitcoin is not good so I think I will going to wait when the right time has come like having a bitcoin market crashing or low price of bitcoin.

2. When and why did you buy your first bitcoin?
I am not buying bitcoin for now but I am already installing an offline wallet ready to buy bitcoin when market goes down to ide price to buy. 6K $ or below would be ideal price per btc to buy.

3. How did you get on the forum?
My friend invited me here. He was a bounty hunter and I was promoting networking locally earning commission from the invites. I am not thinking of earning through bounty hunting. I do not know and difficult to do it besides even if I know I am having hard time to complete the task.

4.1. What prevents mass adoption of cryptocurrencies?
Not being able to pass government regulations, scam and hack issues especially if it involves huge amount in those exchange. It does mean that having funds in the internet or online through cryptocurrency is at risk.

4.2. How do you think mass advertising of gambling projects has a positive effect on the development of the forum or harms the community?
I am a fan of gambling but this type of activity should be isolated in one part and not all sections of the forum. This can get the idea of minors here joining the forum to do gambling activity.

4.3. How do you consider whether 2-3 years of experience in cryptocurrency is enough to successfully invest or does an investor need to receive special education?
yes, even new comers could adapt on this scheme because it all depend on your experience and it could be related to a skill or environment which you are good at.

5. What do you think of the current Merit system and signature campaigns?  Do they harm the forum?
I do not know there aren't statistics or post that talk about it. In the case of merit system I think that admin will going to have an adjusment in the future like giving only one merit per post and not like those receiving couple of merits. What is the point on giving more merits when the intention of rewarding merits is to acknowledge post as contributing posts or something that you like?

6. The most useful forum topic? Most helpful users?
Hepful users are the merit source they can be the reason of a member to rank up. They had the discretion and the power to do it so but it all still depend on the member if they wishes to grow or rank up here in the forum.

7. 3 things you would implement on the forum?

1. To modify trust system like being visible to all users or names will have red in color if it receives negative trust.  Meaning a user cannot be trusted.
2. Merit system should be only a recognition for contributing helpful post and not by means of growing up in the forum. Ranking up should depend on time (#of days, hours and minutes) of being active in the forum as shown above to rank up and certain activity needed.
3. Promote local boards for non english members.

8. Do you trade on exchanges or invest in projects?
Not fan of investing for there is no assurance to it nor doing trade I am not good to it and does not have bought bitcoin but probably trading will be consider one day.

9. Tell a story about your big profit or big loss?
No story to tell about cryptocurrency but talking to networking then I do have bigger affiliates and was becoming a leader in certain area. I am earning through commission from the invites

10. What do you think about the DEFI ecosystem?
Not fan of those projects but it seems good knowing that you have full control over of your funds. However, as I mention above that it is not alright to hold funds in the internet for it is prone or at risk from scammers and hackers. Bitcoin may do storing it offline and this is why I like bitcoin compared to other coins.

11. Is your anonymity a vital necessity or precaution? Not really, but because of the scammers in order not to get in trouble by them stealing your identity then it would be better to keep anonymous and KYC should be avoided as much as possible.

12. The last cryptocurrency book you read?
None, but if someone could provide a link for me then that would better and I would be thankful for it.

13. Advise 3 cryptocurrencies/tokens for investment in the next 1-2 years?
Only two cryptocurrency I know.
1. Bitcoin
2. others

14. How much will Bitcoin cost at the end of 2020?
19K$ that is my best estimate but hopefully ir could be more than that and then hopeful that market will going to crash again for me to buy my first bitcoin.

15. P.S. (Optional)
I would like to thanks for this wonderful questions provided by OP @zasad. The questions I answered made my time for today not to get bored while waiting for someone. My answers are all from the best of my knowledge and intention of bitcoin and the forum. Thank You!

-I think as long as it involves cryptocurrency or bitcoin except for form scam projects that's all fine in the forum.

10. What do you think about the DEFI ecosystem?
-It is still risky because of a lot of scams but not a bad option for me.

11. Is your anonymity a vital necessity or precaution?
-Not all the time, but it's a good option.

5. What do you think of the current Merit system and signature campaigns?  Do they harm the forum?
The legitimacy framework doesn't have any blemish from my own perspective, however it tends to be disappointing toward the start on the off chance that one beginnings of by not procuring them when genuinely investing energy, yet that ought not dishearten such clients, as going ahead they'll begin to get seen and justified similarly.

I got the most assistance from Beginners and Help. I would prefer not to name the most accommodating adored one in light of the fact that referencing one individual may not drive the other individual mad.

7. 3 things you would implement on the forum?
I'll be upbeat in the event that it does, however I love the gathering the manner in which it is and I wouldn't execute anything new in case I'm giving the distinctions. I surmise the more easy to understand highlight to utilization of the discussion. Anyway, the gathering is acceptable right now and I think the main issue with here are the abundance trackers advancing trick extends and including spam posts in the significant sheets conversation.

8. Do you trade on exchanges or invest in projects?

I thank @zasad very much for this interview and for this unique idea of an interview with forum members:

Questions:

1. When and why did you become interested in cryptocurrencies?
Answer: The beginning of my interest in cryptocurrencies was around 2013, but my real start was about three years ago, it was by chance, frankly, I was looking for a job on the Internet and during my research and found many sites that advertise for profit through bitcoin, especially faucets sites and free business sites, why I did not know what bitcoin is, but when I read about it a little, I found myself very interested in learning more about it, and I already started the journey of knowing Bitcoin and knowing everything about it, and I was very pleased with this coincidence that led me to learn about the greatest invention of this era.

2. When and why did you buy your first bitcoin?
Answer: In fact, I live in a poor country and the online purchase process is not available in my country, so most of the bitcoins that I got through my work on the Internet were and I could not buy bitcoin directly, so I was working and converting the currencies that I got to Bitcoin.Of course, the reason for converting currencies into Bitcoin is my great confidence in Bitcoin and my feeling that it will rise to large numbers one day.

3. How did you get on the forum?
Answer: In fact, I heard about the forum a long time ago through social media, but I did not register in it at first because I was busy with other things, then after a while, as a result of the frequent talk about the importance of the forum, I registered in it, but I remained inactive for a long period of time, I was busy frankly In Airdrop and Bounty sites, therefore, I remained inactive in the forum, but after a while I learned my mistake and learned that these sites are all nonsense and a waste of time I decided to start working in the forum and developing myself and promoting step by step.

4.1. What prevents mass adoption of cryptocurrencies?
Answer: I'll answer you, according to my personal point of view, there are several factors that prevent the mass adoption of cryptocurrencies:
- People do not yet know enough about cryptocurrencies, there are still many people, even in developed countries, that do not know what cryptocurrencies mean or only know little information about it.
- The fear of governments and banks of losing control in the event of the spread of cryptocurrencies, as you know, governments and banks rely on control and centralization in the first degree, and cryptocurrencies are quite the opposite of that, as they are decentralized and no one can control them.
- Also, the large fluctuation of the prices of cryptocurrencies makes many people do not trust these currencies and do not consider them as a safe haven.
- I think that there are also other hidden factors, as governments, for example, are working to spread fear of cryptocurrencies among people by spreading frightening things such as that cryptocurrencies are used to support terrorism, as well as that their prices are volatile and cannot be trusted.
- In general, there is a fear of everything new and sticking to the past, as we note from history that there were always difficulties in moving to any new system. These are the most important reasons in my opinion, and there are certainly other reasons as well.

4.2. How do you think mass advertising of gambling projects has a positive effect on the

development of the forum or harms the community?

4.3. How do you consider whether 2-3 years of experience in cryptocurrency is enough to successfully invest or does an investor need to receive special education?
Answer: I think that 2-3 experience is not enough for an investor to succeed in cryptocurrencies unless he receives a lot of special education, cryptocurrencies contain a lot of risks and need a lot of learning and there are new things constantly, but I think that the best teacher for the investor is personal experience, he has to do the experiment himself. And learn from his mistakes and this is the best teacher in my opinion.
The investor must go through a lot of experiences and it is possible that he fails in many times, but he must despair, but he must learn from these mistakes even if they are severe.

5. What do you think of the current Merit system and signature campaigns?  Do they harm the forum?
Answer: The current Merit system in the forum is more than wonderful and for me I did not find it better than this system in any other forum, I worked in a lot of forums but I found the merit system here in the forum is the best ever.
As for signature campaigns, I think they have two negative and positive sides:
the downside is that many members are not interested in posting if they are not Participnts in signature campaigns.
The positive aspect is that signature campaigns encourage members to improve the quality of their posts so that they are accepted in signature campaigns, because most campaigns, especially good ones, choose members who have high-quality posts.

6. The most useful forum topic? Most helpful users?
-

7. 3 things you would implement on the forum?
Answer: The first thing I would like to do in the forum is try to be among the prominent members of the forum.
The second thing is to try to write new and useful topics that were not written previously (especially in the local board)
These are the things that I am thinking of right now and there may be other things to come

8. Do you trade on exchanges or invest in projects?
Answer: For me, I prefer trading in exchanges more than investing in projects, although I have invested in some projects, but unfortunately most of the projects are either SCAM or failed projects, and I personally suffered a loss from my investment in two projects, so I no longer invest in projects, but rather I trade in exchanges and I have experience. Quite good at trading.

9. Tell a story about your big profit or big loss?
Answer: My biggest loss was about two years ago. I invested in a new token (MEME) at first its price rose a lot, but after a short time the project collapsed, it turned out that the project was SCAM and that the team stole money and closed the site, the token price suddenly fell incredibly and I lost all my capital Almost.
As for the biggest investment for me, it was when I recently bought a large quantity of AWC Wallet Token and the token price seemed to rise until it reached nearly 300%, as my capital has tripled.

10. What do you think about the DEFI ecosystem?
Answer: I think DeFi projects are a temporary bubble and will burst soon, as happened on ICO projects around 2017-2018. I might be wrong but I guess it won't last long. But even so, I think it is a great opportunity that can be taken advantage of at the present time. We have seen several successful DeFi ventures out there and the investors are making huge profits.

11. Is your anonymity a vital necessity or precaution?
Answer: For me, I consider anonymity a precaution and not a vital necessity. There are some people who exaggerate their anonymity and prefer not to reveal anything of their identity, for me there are things that I do not mind appearing and other things I prefer to remain hidden.

12. The last cryptocurrency book you read?
-

13. Advise 3 cryptocurrencies/tokens for investment in the next 1-2 years?
Answer: I will give you my personal opinion, and of course there will be many who disagree with this opinion, of course I will not talk about Bitcoin or Ethereum because it is out of the list and remains the best choice for everyone, but I can choose three cryptocurrencies / tokens as follows:
BNB, TRX, AWC

14. How much will Bitcoin cost at the end of 2020?
Answer:  I do not think that Bitcoin will rise much from here until the end of the year 2020, I think it is possible to touch $ 14,000, but I expect a significant increase in the price of Bitcoin next year.

15. P.S. (Optional)

In the end, I would like to say something about this wonderful forum: This forum has given me a great opportunity to learn and make money at the same time, this forum is a realistic example of the Bitcoin era and its positive impact on people's lives, Bitcoin has given me financial freedom through this forum and a lot Another great thing that I want to say from my heart is: Thank you Bitcoin and Thank You Bitcoin Talk.

Hello.
I want to interview you. I hope for your consent.

Questions:

1. When and why did you become interested in cryptocurrencies?

During the year 2014 got much interested into cryptocurrency. This happened surfing through internet.

2. When and why did you buy your first bitcoin?

On an article read about the assured growth of bitcoin to happen in the starting years. When I bought it was around $300

3. How did you get on the forum?

The continued search and the spending to buy made me try earning. Finally got landed on our forum.

4.1. What prevents mass adoption of cryptocurrencies?

Lack of knowledge and the true reason behind the innovation/lack of support from governments. Mass adoption is taking place in specific regions where the local currency is under inflation. As they're supposed to carry large currencies people prefer using cryptocurrencies. This is found much on few African countries.

4.2. How do you think mass advertising of gambling projects has a positive effect on the development of the forum or harms the community?

Almost every gambling site promotion through the forum is functioning with legitimacy. Gambling section isn't making any issues with the forum. There are users who keeps notifying about scam gambling sites, so everything is healthy with the forum.

4.3. How do you consider whether 2-3 years of experience in cryptocurrency is enough to successfully invest or does an investor need to receive special education?

Experience makes Pro bitcoiners than formal courses that has got syllabus related to bitcoin and cryptocurrencies.

5. What do you think of the current Merit system and signature campaigns?  Do they harm the forum?

This system is a must for the forum, but campaigns hiring based on the merit into signature campaigns isn't fair. Yahoo is an exception and I like the way he picks.

6. The most useful forum topic? Most helpful users?

Beginners and help and Bitcoin Discussion section gives detailed information on each and everything associated with bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.

7. 3 things you would implement on the forum?

Equality.
Limitations on Regional section merits.
Consideration on removal of feedbacks, I've been trying to get a feedback to be removed. All my tries have been wasted.

8. Do you trade on exchanges or invest in projects?

I prefer trading, and investing is done very rarely because I wasn't that technically skilled to predict the right assets for investment.

9. Tell a story about your big profit or big loss?

Big profit happened out of gambling, and greed of winning big in a single day made me loss everything that I earned as well as won out of gambling.

10. What do you think about the DEFI ecosystem?

Promotion of project and investment opportunity is created through DEFI. Once ICO/IEO had a big role and expectations. Now things have got moved towards DEFI, and these days the opportunity to earn tokens have decreased. People are supposed to invest on DEFI, because very few distribute as bounties.

11. Is your anonymity a vital necessity or precaution?

Yes, anonymity is much important until the governments start supporting the usage of cryptocurrencies.

12. The last cryptocurrency book you read?

I read articles posted on different news portals. Reading our forum is more than enough than going through a book for cryptocurrencies.

13. Advise 3 cryptocurrencies/tokens for investment in the next 1-2 years?

Bitcoin, ethereum, XRP were common. Apart from them I believe uniswap, Binance coin and cardano.

14. How much will Bitcoin cost at the end of 2020?

Maybe around $15k - $17k. Right now the price is close to $13k which is quite good in this year of complete economic collapse on most countries.

15. P.S. (Optional)

Learn continuously, success will be yours. Don't underestimate/get into discussion about the negative things of bitcoin. Always spread the positive things about bitcoin, and this has the ability to create changes is common man's life. Try as much possible to implement/accept bitcoin into your Businesses (if you're a business man).

Thanks for the opportunity and good about the effort @zasad. I'm surprised to see the way you've earned merits. I would be happy if you support one of my thread Minable Cryptocurrencies and Algorithms

Although I am not one of the good posters, the opportunity to be given an interview is an honor for me. I will try to answer every question
as honestly as possible, sorry if any of my answers make other members uncomfortable. Because I realized that I am only ordinary people
are not free from mistakes. Please enjoy my interview.

1. When and why did you become interested in cryptocurrencies?
I became interested about crypto around 2013, when my friend introduced me about Bitcoin. I am interested in Bitcoin because it can potentially
replace the bank system. Since 2013 I have been trying to find information about Bitcoin. But unfortunately I was busy working at that time and
had to vacuum for about 3 years from the cryptocurrency world. And I came back to cryptocurrency around 2016.

2. When and why did you buy your first bitcoin?
I bought Bitcoin for the first time in 2016 out of curiosity, so I only bought Bitcoin for about $ 25. And I regret why I only buy small amounts of
Bitcoin.

3. How did you get on the forum?
I know the Bitcointalk forum recommended by my coworkers. He said the Bitcointalk forums could provide me with all the information I needed
regarding cryptocurrency. And it turned out that my co-worker was right, I started to understand cryptocurrency from the Bitcointalk forum.

4.1. What prevents mass adoption of cryptocurrencies?
I think the government is the main cause of preventing the mass adoption of crypto. And there are also many scam projects in the crypto world,
preventing the mass adoption of crypto.

4.2. How do you think mass advertising of gambling projects has a positive effect on the development of the forum or harms the community?
One of the reasons for the increasing number of members of the Bitcointalk forum is because of the mass advertising of gambling projects.
Because many members want to earn rewards by participating in gambling campaigns. And this is positive for the crypto community who want
to find a place to be able to play online gambling that is safe and reliable.

4.3. How do you consider whether 2-3 years of experience in cryptocurrency is enough to successfully invest or does an investor need to receive
special education?

It depends on one's ability to understand crypto investment, but in my opinion 2-3 years can become a successful investor. No need to receive special education anymore, I even only needed 6 months to understand investing in cryptocurrency.

5. What do you think of the current Merit system and signature campaigns?  Do they harm the forum?
Since the merit system implemented in signature campaigns has indeed reduced the number of spammers, but on the other hand has
made members low rank lost the opportunity to take part in gambling campaigns that prioritized high rank members.

6. The most useful forum topic? Most helpful users?
Since I love gambling, of course Gambling discussion is the most useful topic for me. There are so many members of this forum who help me a lot,
which I can't possibly mention one by one.

7. 3 things you would implement on the forum?
I feel that this forum is perfect for me, so for now there is nothing I want to add to the Bitcointalk forum.

8. Do you trade on exchanges or invest in projects?
I prefer trading on exchanges, because I can get profit faster.

9. Tell a story about your big profit or big loss?
I made the biggest profit I made this year, when I bought Bitcoin at the price of $ 6000 in March 2020, and now the Bitcoin price has risen
to $ 12,800. And also I managed to sell LINK at the price of $ 17, even though I bought LINK when it was 2019 which was still priced at $ 2.
For the biggest loss I experienced in 2018 when Bitcoin dumped, and all the altcoins in the dump too. My total loss reaches $ 1400.

10. What do you think about the DEFI ecosystem?
I made a large profit from investing in DeFi coins, So I think the DeFi ecosystem is giving investors a chance to make huge profits in a short
amount of time. And that's a good thing in my opinion. So DeFi coins hype is not a bad thing, even Bitcoin hype happened in 2017.

11. Is your anonymity a vital necessity or precaution?
For me, anonymity is a vital need, because I think almost everyone needs privacy. So I am too, because cryptocurrency can provide anonymity
that banks cannot provide. Eventually all my wealth was transferred to cryptocurrency right now.

12. The last cryptocurrency book you read?
I love reading cryptocurrency books, so I have read many books. The last book on crypto that I have read is "Keys To Bitcoin" by Raphael Meyer.
But the cryptocurrency book I recommend is "Mastering Bitcoin" by Andreas Antonopoulos.

13. Advise 3 cryptocurrencies/tokens for investment in the next 1-2 years?
Good cryptocurrency options for investment in the next 1-2 years in my opinion are Bitcoin, Ethereum and Binance Coin.

14. How much will Bitcoin cost at the end of 2020?
If you look at the current price of Bitcoin, it has managed to rise to the price of $ 12,700. Based on my analysis Bitcoin should hit a price of
$ 15,000 by the end of 2020.

15. P.S. (Optional)
I am grateful to be able to get to know this forum, so that I can get income from gambling campaigns. And also I can get complete information
about cryptocurrency in this forum. Hopefully this forum can live long and continue to develop even better.

I didn't received any PM but I want to share some of my opinions, experiences and anything that is related to crypto Cheesy.

1. When and why did you become interested in cryptocurrencies?
I started learning about crypto last 2017 and it was introduced by my friend. I will be honest at least for now Cheesy. At first he introduced me how to earn some few bucks here and I immediately agreed but that's not all. I also did my own self study in order to at least know the basics of crypto and fortunately I did it. I don't have any time to learn the complex side of it though.

I became interested in cryptocurrencies because I want to invest into some assets other than stock market and others. I invested in stock market already since I graduated from college and I want to diversify more.

2. When and why did you buy your first bitcoin?
I started involving myself into crypto last 2017 (September to be precise) but I bought my first Bitcoin February of 2018. I tried to invest a few bucks into crypto using my own money just for trading. I want to learn trading at that time that is why I tried to put some money into it even though it is just a few bucks.

3. How did you get on the forum?
As I said in #1, it has been introduced by my friend.

4.1. What prevents mass adoption of cryptocurrencies?
Regulation - I think this is the main reasons why people aren't using cryptocurrencies.
Volatility - I also included this because many are thinking that if they will put their money on cryptocurrencies, the price might go down in just a few hours or days.
Numerous Scams - because of scams that are happening that is related to crypto, people are hesitant in using cryptocurrencies therefore it also prevents its mass adoption.

4.2. How do you think mass advertising of gambling projects has a positive effect on the development of the forum or harms the community?
As long as these gambling projects are accepting crypto then it is what is important. They are increasing awareness to the people.

4.3. How do you consider whether 2-3 years of experience in cryptocurrency is enough to successfully invest or does an investor need to receive special education?
I've been in the cryptocurrency for 3 years already and I think that is enough already to be an investor and invest although success isn't always 100% as always. Base on my experience, I already invested in crypto when I'm already into it for around a year only. That is because my background in investing helped me too and include the fact that I also learned the basics of it. We must learn consistently in order for us to be successful especially in investing.

5. What do you think of the current Merit system and signature campaigns?  Do they harm the forum?
With regards to the Merit System, I don't think that there is a perfect system to be honest. I like the fact that spammers will having a hard time to rank up unlike the time where there is no merit system. I'm just happy that there are some new features that are being added to the forum. Signature Campaigns? I don't see any harm coming from them aside from the fact that there are many shitposters before the merit system has been implemented. Still there are some users who are contributing to this forum and that is a win win for them. They are earning and at the same time, helping the community at least.

6. The most useful forum topic? Most helpful users?
I will not take time to enumerate because there are too many of them that are helping the forum. With regards to the most useful forum topic, I think this post by Lauda is the most helpful one Newbies - Read before posting and this maybe [General] How to earn Bitcoins Cheesy.

7. 3 things you would implement on the forum?
I can't think of any feature that they need to implement on the forum. I'm happy into how the forum is right now and if their are some adjustments/things to add in the forum then it will be decided by theymos and other admins.

8. Do you trade on exchanges or invest in projects?
I tried trading but I'm unsuccessful on it. I invest into projects yes but not on new projects. I invested into projects that are there for a long time already.

9. Tell a story about your big profit or big loss?
I don't have any big profits to share to you since I'm not engaged into trading right now.

Regarding on the big loss. This is the one that I can't forget. I still remember the time when Verge announces a partnership with a very famous company and at that time, people are getting hyped on the coin and the price of it went up significantly. Throughout the days, the price of it still rising days before the announcement happens. I'm still a newbie at that time and to be honest, I'm one of the many people who got FOMO'ed into this coin and I bought at the peak of it. When they announced that they will have a partnership with Pornhub, minutes after they announced it the coin started to go down. People are selling but I just said to myself that it will rise up soon until it goes down even more in the next days and I ended up selling the coins that I bought and I lost more than half of my initial capital. I learned from that mistake though since you will not learn if you didn't create any mistake right? Smiley.

10. What do you think about the DEFI ecosystem?
Right now it is being hyped like the ICO last 2017. Although I know that DeFi industry will be a successful one in the future, as of this moment investing into it is very risky that is why I advice newbies to at least not invest right now into it. Invest when the hype is over.

11. Is your anonymity a vital necessity or precaution?
Right now, information can spread easily into the internet space that is why being anonymous is very important right now. Its a necessity for me to be anonymous rather than sharing your information to some stupid strangers online.

12. The last cryptocurrency book you read?
None. Even the whitepaper of satoshi, I didn't read it still in my 3 years into crypto Cheesy. I'm not a fan of reading books and I'm more of a watching type. I learn more when I watch documentaries regarding crypto. That also helped me learn more.

13. Advise 3 cryptocurrencies/tokens for investment in the next 1-2 years?
Bitcoin
Ethereum
Chainlink

No further explanations. Just invest into these 3 coins Tongue.

14. How much will Bitcoin cost at the end of 2020?
At the time when I'm posting it, Bitcoin went up and its price right now is at $12,700. Its because of the article that Paypal started to accept crypto.
Initially, I predicted that $14,000-$16,000 will be the price range of Bitcoin in the end of the year and I will stand on it. $14,000-$16,000 per Bitcoin at the end of the year. LETS GO!!!!!!!!!!!!

15. P.S. (Optional)
I just want to thank the forum as a whole for the opportunity that it gave to me. Without it, i probably doesn't even know anything about crypto right now. Bitcoin, our future money Tongue.
