Anybody watching Real Madrid? Just saw they are loosing 2:0, at home, against Alaves  This is a golden opportunity for a team like Sevilla, Villareal or even Real Sociedad to take La Liga. I don't remember when both Real and Barca were this bad and Atletico Madrid is nothing special as well. I am hoping for surprise champion this season.

agree that Real and Barca are really low this season, Barca is expected from my point of view, but expected a title race from Real
nevertheless, still think that Real will finish top 2, probably chase with Atletico, that is playing "champion" way this season - that means "1:0 wins are 3 point worth, as any other"
would like to see Barca out of top 4, but really cannot think about Villareal or Sociedad holding up to the end, Sevilla will be within top 4 probably

I'm watching game not from the first minutes. 2nd goal was scored after awful mistake by Courtois.
I'm very sceptical about chances of other teams, but I think it's great opportunity for Atletico. They don't look special, but they are still without loss. They already have 6 points lead against Real and game in advance. Today Atletico achieved another their tpical, difficult win against Valencia.
Sevilla, Villarreal and Sociedad looks good now, but I doubt that they can play stable all season long without droping points agianst mid table teams. Especially considering that all these teams continue to play in Champion/Europa league, so they will nned to rest players against weaker teams.
I watched Sevilla game against Huesca and their win was also very difficult. But win is win.

So, Real lost and drew their last two games, but Barca not being able to capitalize on the last game so we have to win this one to make the week worthwhile. Ramos gets back soon and we have our own defensive crisis. Atletico and Real Sociedad are taking full advantage so we better just win some games and get back on track.

Bad odds for tonight but I picked Sociedad+Barca to win. If I lose the bet because Sociedad draws or loses, I'll be happy:)

Definitely would love to see Sociedad take the crown this season. They've been hitting good value bets almost every game I pick them either for La Liga or Europa, almost around 2/1 so I'd like for them to continue their streak for a little more.

Definitely the worst season for both the big boys in my living memory too -- and the fact that their wage bill dwarfs most of La Liga makes it even more painful I imagine for a fan.

Kudos to Koeman for trying a brave move and playing such an attacking team. Barca back with 4-3-3 formation and it paid off!

Griezmann was magically good today! It finally appeared that two of the 'Ballon d'Or Final 3' are playing together. Well, what can we say about Messi - his first game of the season as Messi. Creating 3 goals out-of-nowhere (one got disallowed), scoring a banger from outside the box, those angle passes to Griezmann and Braithwaite from the right wing, those over the top balls for Alba and Coutinho. A usual day at office for Messied-Messi.

Well, we all know why this match would be remembered - the biggest football icon of this century giving tribute to the biggest football icon of the previous century:

You couldn't have said it better, even as a Barca fan, I had to switch through those highlights several times. It's so different when the mentality of the team is like this, you see people enjoying the game instead of looking worried. You see people laughing instead of proving a point. I really hope Koeman sees this, enjoys it, and take more risks and more adventure because we need to return our hearts to the football in Barca before we think about getting points.

Did not watch it unfortunately but very glad that Barca had a performance like this. They did not forget how to play and they will have performances like this on good a good day. I am a bit afraid what happens on a bad day. This team looks quite bad when things are not going in the desired direction and it has been like that for quite some time now.

Messi is arguably the best player in the world but he is lacking that quality to yell a bit on the team and energize them all to give their utmost best on the field. I can't imagine someone like let's Roy Keane to lower his head and stop running/playing after getting a couple of goals down.

I'm backing Betis tonight. Their squad is significantly better and bad period should end sooner or later. On the other hand, Eibar achieved all their wins this season playing away.

i should've checked this thread earlier, Betis lost and they screw me over in a free bet. I didn't know they had a such a bad record, at least Eibar were getting a few draws prior to the match tonight

Woohoo my first yellow cap, this week my strategy of picking 1:1 when I don't have a favorite or feeling for goals paid of with 4 exact scores. Very happy with total points considering lots of strange results.

I was sure Betis is not loosing yesterday and then they fall so easy. Just judging per scoreline, did not watch the game.

I guess it's not just me having a bad time then. Every league is feeling the effects of good old pandemic it seems, and the smaller teams are probably enjoying it the most with the least numbers of players also committing to Europe competition and international breaks. I really hope all leagues start doing something about player welfare. I love football but surely this is part of the effects of every team playing too many games?

i'm going with a Celta win in our pool and in all the other weekend promos,, didn't put much thought into it, just that i was really impressed by Celta's new manager tactics and gameplan in their last match, but that was at home, gonna be a hard-fought battle at San Mames

^ Good win. And personally, just happy to see Iago Aspas thrive. That guys, just like Danny Ings and others, have all done their best for Liverpool and them doing so well elsewhere is just proof they were always talented people.

I actually got it wrong there, but at least Levante's now 2 goals up. If Getafe pull 1 back I get 3 points, though, haha. Not so good with the betting =p

All eyes on Sevilla - Real clash today. We have to wait a little bit more but I am expecting a cracking match with hopefully a lot of goals.
I sort of thought Sevilla got this begging of the weak but as the time draws closer I am leaning more to the draw, let it be a scoring one and I have no objections.

I have both to score on the ticket but just for low stake, my big money is in the PL today.
