I dont think playing without sponsorship will work at this point because we dont have much time left, and I am not sure we can get plenty of people signing up.
This season I want to think carefuly before joining all posible prediction competitions, and I need to cut down my loses as much as possible.

I am not sure it would help. Managers are clawing for any business that comes to the forum and then actual company representatives are not looking at the forum at all. I am expecting all those managers to be aware of the pools and to contact their captains if their business is interested but smaller companies don't have budgets for the pools while bigger ones are unusualy quiet this season.

Shouldn't the buy in fee be higher for non sponsored pools rather than the other way around? Without sponsorship we need a higher buy in to build a respectable prize pool. With a sponsor inflating the pot a lower buy in makes sense. Maybe I'm looking at it wrong but that seems logical to me.

I think it is just because without sponsorship money, there will be less prize spots (and no freebets). So, the chances of you winning something is much lower, hence most players will actually just be paying for all the pools and not get any return.

The attraction for me at least is a chance to recover something no matter how small, so if we want more players, without a sponsor, we have to think how much they spend to join all pools. And with a bigger prize pool, it makes sense that you have to put more 'serious' money in it to play.

In that spirit, I want to play all the pools every season, sponsor or not.

No harm in trying. As Trofo said - I don't think it would work though.

We spent months getting to a decision maker for a client we feel might still save this season - so it's a tough battlefield to navigate.

Thanks for the goodwill mate, but i agree with the Tro and cryptfrka, i think nobody really look here into it, your idea have all the logic and rational thinking and is ok to have it but as they said nobody really see them and plus most of the companies that show here are catch much early by most of the managers around plus other places that im not so into it.

Surely Tro and Cryptfrka knows much more than me, but as far as i try most of them didnt even answer and in other cases is very difficult to finally close up a deal.

Our main problem is, the forum is not their main target plus despite being gamblers we are not degenerates(right?).

Don't worry mafia brothers, I know you guys have been hard at work in the kitchen cooking, and there aren't more crooked chefs than you two, so something will turn up. And if not, well, I'm playing to take your money.

Not a bad idea, el che, but I don't think it will improve, and would prefer you not waste time on something like that. It's almost like Bitcoin, there's a loose system of trust at play, and a lot like the Wild West for many brands who operate on startup mentality, with thin margins that shift so much they really only make final decisions with the clock running down. Happy to provide info from my side if you do of course (but don't waste your time haha).

So on La Liga, Barca for the title, Mou for the 5 red card outright (anyone want to price me for this?).

I tallied the votes, we have 11 votes to play even without sponsorship with only 2 saying no. Among those that want to play we had 6 proposing 1 mBTC, 4 proposing 0.5 mBTC and one person even lower fees.

Personally I have no inclination to play the pool with almost no rewards so the buy in will be set at 1 mBTC. We will not overly complicate stuff, you all have been playing for seasons and even if we have 1 season without sponsorship it would be shame to let the thread die. Who knows how the landscape will look next season.

I still believe there will be some last minute sponsor jumping in, after all the amounts we are talking here really aren't huge.

Deadline for payments will be start of GW3. At the moment you pay, I approve you in the pool. OP will be updated also after GW3 deadline, if we don't find sponsor until then, we probably will not find it.

And one extra rule for this season, don't be a dick to the community and calculate about joining. There is no penalty for that but you will always be a lesser person in my eyes for whatever that is worth   This isn't about those that voted no to playing without sponsors, you guys said your piece and I respect that. I would advise you to still join main superbru La Liga pool (not ours) and then if we get sponsor you can join and transfer all your points.


Serie A will also be restarted when superbru actually puts it up. Still some time for that one.

Agree with you about the fee, is not big and i think everyone can pay it here plus it makes a diference for the pot compared to half it.

I just enter the pool and also made my predictions, somehow it feel strange, all feel strange, being without sponsorship until now, Laliga just starting this weekend , us being not so much people yet in this pools. Maybe its just me but it feels strange, i hope to see all the regulars joining.

I actually think this is a good idea. A dedicated thread would make the sponsorship process more open and organized especially for smaller pools that may not have the same visibility as BSFL or EPL

Sometimes a potential sponsor may be interested but simply doesn’t know that a particular tournament is looking for support. So if organizers can clearly post the tournament details, expected audience, sponsorship options and what the sponsor gets in return, it becomes easier for both sides to connect. It can also bring new sponsors into the forum instead of always approaching the same platforms

Ok, I'm going to send buy-in during the weekend. With current BTC value 1 mBTC is optimal fee IMO. If it would be less, playing wouldn't be very attractive as rewards would be little. And it would be so great if you will manage to find last minute sponsor. Even if they won't be as generous as previous sponsors used to be, still it's waaaaaay much better than nothing. Maybe it would attract few extra players

Since the prize allocation/distribution isn't final yet, maybe we could consider having just only 1 or 2-3 winners, especially if there won't be a sponsor. But if we do get a sponsor, then maybe we can stick with how the prize being allocated and distribution before.

I haven't joined this pool before, but I'm planning to join this time if maybe if my suggestion gets approved. Just suggestion though, it's still up to you guys.

I think this is a good time to start supporting some pools so that they could get better metrics to present to the potential sponsors next year ( or probably a sponsor before GW3 ) and with that said Im going to join this pool. Gotta purge some other pools for me but yeah I guess Im trying my luck this year on LaLiga's pool

Yesterday i confirm my entry to this pool and open my superbru after a few months of being sleep and now today i jsut pay the fee to be part of this new season, lets hope we can reach a decent ammount of players so a decent pot, plus i still hope to reach a deal with some sponsor no matter if it is now or at the middle of the season, i think is gonna happen sooner or later.
