Warms my heart really to see Aspas back properly, starting the next game now I believe as captain, but they had to deal with 2 tough losses. I smell a goal from him and might actually put them as a winner for tomorrow/today game.

What you guys think, is he washed? I personally think he isn't.

Aspas is one of my favorite La Liga players and proably he can be called as GOAT of Celta. I'm glad that he still continue to play. Yes, he isn't 90 minutes player for few years already, but he is still very useful after substitution for 20-30 minutes. Players like Aspas or now Aubameyang in Deportivo is one of reasons why I watch games of these smaller teams.

Me too, I think he has a rare thing s a player which is not just skill and ability but also spiritual connection with the fans and club (not easy!).

Plus a very nice guy which always helps

Aspas falls into the same bucket as a player like for example Isco and a few other spanish players which are technically a masterpiece of a player, i mean for example i remember prime Isco in Real Madrid and damn man he was one of the few who had the ball stick at the foot when dribling, Aspas is nearby the same he is a magician and have some very good moves despite his age.

Is like the synthesis of spanish players that kind of guy, i dont know if that era is coming to an end because they keep producing some real good players but i dont know if they are the same.

I actually never made this comparison but you are not wrong at all, a simple masterclass player that you never doubt is Spanish DNA, and yet somehow never really considered a superstar (Isco was because of his club I guess). It is not the same now for sure this generation of Spain is marvellous and La Masia template keeps pushing out but for me the difference for the type of player Aspas is was his loyalty and his, how to say, street football mentality. Usually you find this in all young players but they get mature and it disappears, usually in a good way but I like how he turns it on when needed for his team. For this essence I only can compare that street mentality to Luis Suarez (not spanish). Even at their age, they didn't stop that 'fight' and 'desire'. And they both create, they both dribble, they both finish.

THAT kind of Spanish player hardly exists in the new generation now.

The gap in La Liga is becoming huge - but Valencia looks terrible. They finished strongly last season after dancing on the edge for a while, this season will be tough for them.

They are my favorite club in La Liga so I really hope they improve.

It's sad to watch at Valencia in last years and things not going to change as long as Lim won't going to sell club. Sometimes it feels that  they're not even best club in their city. Barca played against Levante today and they gave much more fight.

I guess many football fans have sympathy for Valencia from early 00s when they were big force in Spain. And yeah, Rafa Benitez was big part of it.

yeah. Barcelona scored 17 goals in the first 4 matches of the league. The level they're playing at is just way above the rest. i also watched the Valencia match today. they scored 5... but imo if they wanted to, they could’ve easily scored 15. they were that comfortable and professional.

It was around my earliest memories of La Liga actually, when Spanish football was also beginning to influence England (and actually somehow I followed Liverpool for a little while as well as Arsenal as both were doing Spain/France tactics and style via Benitez and Wenger).

For sure hard to swallow the way the team is these days, always being the pariah along with Sevilla in this pool.

Yup, I remember that Valencia team very well - they played fantastic football.
Not just because of Benitez but also Hector Cuper before him - and players like Mendieta who left before Benitez came in.

I think they lost 2 CL finals with Cuper before winning 2 league titles and UEFA Cup with Rafa.

I'm 100% Liverpool but have additional 2 teams that I want to do well - and these are Dortmund and Valencia.

And I won't blame you, the reason I actually started watching Liverpool and Arsenal I already mentioned, but I really enjoyed watching Liverpool during Klopp's time there, and strangely, didn't like watching City even though Pep went there.

Which doesn't make sense at first but bring the way money and club identity is put together and that subconsciously something that puts any guy who loves football off

Not really. I like the status the fans have, the story behind the Yellow Wall and the connection they have with LFC.

I adore Klopp, not just because of his football style but also because of how chill and natural he is but Dortmund was a great club even without him. He just created a super team there.
Some of his players are my favorite ones (like Reus and Hummels) but I never like the club because of the players.

I really liked a lot of Chelsea's players, I still consider some of United's the best that ever played and yet I hate both of these clubs with passion.

Now that you mentioned it I believe his clubs in Germany now are against him after his move to go to Red Bull, which apparently German league hates. Love that spirit.

We have fan-owned structure in Barca but it didn't prevent us from almost going bankrupt.

I like players, and sometimes follow them, but generally I also like clubs based on their philosophy and fans.

I get you, I hate Real, but they have amazing players.

I would probably start building my position here now (not necessarily to wait until the end of the season, I’m just sure that there will be an opportunity to sell the bet more profitably), but there’s a game ahead against Atletico, which exists to harm Real. Fear and greed are battling it out inside me here: if points are dropped against Atlético, the odds on Real will become even more attractive.

The wait is just too long. But I’ll see this season through to the end, nonetheless. As for what I’ll do with this speculative bet, I’ll simply sell my position. There won’t be any liquidity lock-up - plan to do it on Polymarket.

I'm very happy to see how Barca is looking now, they're able to score as many as they want. But it would be stupid to ignore fact that we had extremely easy schedule in first rounds, from bigger teams we only faced struggling Athletic. I'm waiting for real challenges after international break. Already before it we will face Sevilla who have great season start and already reminds team that used to dominate in Europa league.

That's why I am always betting just for the current day. Looking at markets in the morning and creating a ticket that ends before I go to sleep In some super rare occasions I will place some multis spanning a couple of days, like in Champions League.

Yeah, I also make outrights bets extremely rarely, I just can't wait 10 or 8 months for ticket to settle. Sometimes I only go with x team to qualify on knockout stages of tournaments, what usally takes 2 weeks to settle.
