Why is it they are taking so long in listing this project to at least one exchange? At least give a lil bit of hope to those mining their coin. And if they do really ask KYC in the future, I don't think this coin is worth following for. Recently I came to know about Pi through one of my friend who hasn't got knowledge about cryptocurrencies. He has been running it on his Mobile. This one, I still remember one story of a token that grows tremendously, and my friends keeps telling me it's legit and that I should invest. But looking closely, it's not even listed so pretty much that pump is artificial and obviously someone from behind is pushing it to look as if the project is solid. And as I look closely, the money coming in is like $300k only, Lol. so I would advise everyone to research about this project closely and not fall for the hype.

I also did mining from last year, and began to get bored waiting when Pi could be withdrawn and traded. The moderator said that tokens can be withdrawn in phase 3 and I think trading will also start in that phase, but we don't know when phase 3 will start.

FUBT a Chinese exchange company has listed it as an IOU token but they stopped trading it we don't know if after they  launch their token and done KYC if they are still going to have that numbers we still don't know the actual potential of the coin it remains to be seen.

I came across with this when my friend invited me to join his referral months ago and did some mining daily but sometimes i forgot to mine once a while because i am not that so interested with Pi Network mining. Maybe next year we can make this a profit hence they are posting some updates especially doing kyc in the future and hoping this will not be a disappointment like any other mining apps out there. The instant surge of the users are probably because of the way you can earn their tokens. I've seen apps like this too but this is the only app where I tried to install it. On the other hand, you can't sell it at all at this moment so you are just rich in the dashboard and nothing else . I will not reinstall this in the future. I don't like the way people are earning token. I believe that pi will become worthless because pi token is easily to earn. It just have a difficulty when there is increase in the number of users. Unlike with other coins, mining of their tokens require mining rigs. And rigs are not really cheap. They are expensive. But look how we mine, pi token. We easily click and wait for 24 hours until you will restart again.

Anyway, I have 760 pi but I did not open it because I have found a scam accusation against pi network.

It is promise for you and money for them. You cannot spend that sweet promise while they are enjoying the fruits of their scheme. That's 5 million and counting all over the world. Going through the white paper I didn't saw any road map of the project. Pi network keeps growing, none is sure of its listing to exchanges. If I'm not wrong the testnet will continue until specific target users are reached. Further the mainnet seems to go on production. However this is termed to be a complicated project, but legitimate in their activities. Sure to experience growth out of mining pi, but the timeline for the same is unknown.

I have gone through the research of this coin and it does show some information though it falls short of my expectations. There will always be fake numbers in crypto space because when you give a fake number that makes it a news and when you have news that could attract attention you will also get a lot more investment and traders. I do not believe that it is at 5 million users, there is no way that 5 million users would register unless there is hundreds of accounts from the same person, users must be creating multiple accounts just to make it at 5 million users.

mining unlisted coins is as risky as investing on unlisted coins although you dont spend money on mining but youl spend electricity and cpu power of your device which also risk them from getting broke .

Most of my friends already have PI mining on their mobile phones and they even invite me to have it but, I always refuse. It's good to see that PI have already 5 million users and I guess the team behind it need to focus on listing it in the exchange because this thing might bring more users to them or else if they don't have a plan to list this in exchange it can cause loses of users because they might get bored or lose interest on doing mining without any gain. And for me, I would rather put my time on trading than mining coin who don't have plans to get listed in an exchange.

(As to why 'industry' players like changelly are supporting projects without a 'live' cryptocurrency, and perhaps to the detriment of original Prime number related cryptocurrencies (doing actual math on a blockchain) like Gapcoin and Reicoin, remains unclear to myself!)

Conclusion: I'm fairly sure that the real Satoshi Nakamoto would find this currently centralized, not-curently-a-cryptocurrency, potentially privacy infringing (mining your data ?) smart phone application to be very far removed from the concept for Bitcoin and other 'true' cryptocurrency and altcoin projects.

Therefore, I will not be 'mining' and/or signing up for this project myself. I uphold the [warning] notification provided by the OP.

Yeah, I think they are doing is more on fair distribution because they are reaching more people that don't know cryptocurrencies before. Even Bitcoins. They are gamifying the system. The more people sharing the wealth the better than just few big whales just like with other cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and Ethereum.

It's good to see that PI have already 5 million users and I guess the team behind it need to focus on listing it in the exchange because this thing might bring more users to them or else if they don't have a plan to list this in exchange it can cause loses of users because they might get bored or lose interest on doing mining without any gain. And for me, I would rather put my time on trading than mining coin who don't have plans to get listed in an exchange.

I don't think they can focus on listings, because listings usually cost money. While this project has no money, they do not hold an ICO or IEO, as I know they get money only from google adsense which they install in the application.

PI network is a scam because it's application is a malware and it's too good to be true that you could only mine PI using your phone, but it would only steal your data in your phone. I also have heard that there is no recent update about the PI network, and it is why it still haven't get listed in any exchange.

Pi Network hit 5 million users. I have a fairly active mining team if anyone wanted to join. Its free to mine and uses a consensus algorith instead of POW (proof of work) mining so its done on your phone. No actual money invested as the coin is still in the BETA phase. Recently, I reinstalled the Pi network app, when I was getting some raised hope about the possibility of the coin being listed.  I just hope everything does not amount to waste of time at the end of the day.
