I hope this happens, as the title race will become even tighter and PSG will have a competitor this season in the form of a team like Lens who continues to show positive results. Lens is starting to show a strong team in Ligue 1, indirectly putting pressure on PSG who are currently struggling to make up for lost ground. If Lens can play more effectively and maintain their positive streak in every match they have a great chance, even though many people doubt Lens who currently only have a one-point lead over PSG. The situation is not yet comfortable because there is still a big opportunity for PSG, but as long as Lens performs well, they will definitely be able to face the pressure.

PSG seemed like they were in control of the game with their high percentage ball possession and huge number of passes. But this is a thing that we see in like all of their games. 

Indeed they still struggled to get a comfortable score against Paris FC last night. Why didn't Kvaratskhelia start the game and even enter the game later on? Mayulu performed horrible but still the name was replaced with was the youngster Nsoki.

People do not understand how PSG is just letting it be in ligue 1. Sure they looked like they did not dominated if you look at the score, but they didn't even tried hard and still got a win and that's all they care.

Active resting is a method in football (in many sports) where you do not play with your 100%, and that way you do not tire yourself out the most. You pass around and just rest during the game instead of running like crazy and pressing all game long, that's what PSG did this game.

Not playing 100%, however, makes you think they were literally joking with their opponents. Let's just say that way of playing is risky, because you don't get too tired anyway, but the risk of getting goals is real.
Let's just say you're only okay with good possession like PSG did, but a few mistakes could still cost you the game.
They usually play more aggressively and still have great possession of the ball, there is no denying it is a feared team even in the Champions League.

Marseille list to Nantes today by 2 goals, I honestly did felt disappointed because I did expected more from Marseille in this particular fixture, although they will want to blame it on the early red card that preceeded the goals with which Nantes did scored, the red card for me was such that was avoidable but then maybe it is safe to say football happened.

It was an impossible mission for them to win this game after receiving two red cards. Playing with only nine players, all they could do was defend. Before the game started, I planned to add them to my parlay, but I left and when I came back I made the parlay and forgot about them. I see I was very lucky not to have included them.

Marseille could have solved the problem if they only got 1 red card. But unfortunately competing with 9 players is really a very tough job and there is no choice but to use the bus parking strategy to not concede many goals. But I have to praise Marseille, even though they lost, they only conceded 2 goals, which is proof that the Marseille players are really solid. And Nantes got these 2 scores like a bonus or luck.

Definitely an unexpected run of wins from Lens, they are keeping the leader level for one more week thanks to this win and I am sure that the yare going to do a fine job. I get that they are going to do a fine job on the long run if they keep this up, not sure if they are going to end up with the title but they are going to do a fine sure and that is why I think that will be a lot better. Lens getting this many wins in a row is not something that I expected this season at all, they are shocking everyone.

I thought that Marseille could get the "Champion d'Automne" but instead it was Lens who were able to secure it. This is a very good achievement from Lens because many people predicted from the start that Ligue 1 would be dominated by PSG, but the reality is that PSG actually appeared inconsistent in the first half of the season, and other teams actually progressed better.

Enrique even praised what Lens achieved in this half of the season, they managed to progress better and recorded a positive record in the last 5 matches. While this may be more difficult to maintain until the end of the season, Lens have demonstrated their best performance in Ligue 1.

I know that one point is not enough to win the league same thing with having 10 minutes and losing 3 matches and your rivals winning all their games to take over the table, Lens is not just topping PSG in the league but they are performing well also which makes me wonder why they are planning because they look very convincing watching their performance than PSG who is always struggling to win their games through narrow escape. This is the first time that any team is making things hard for PSG by challenging them but if Lens end up not winning the league they will learn just the way Arsenal has learnt and are improving this season.

Nantes are 16th in the league. I didn't expect them to get a win like that. I think Marseille need to focus more in these kinds of matches. The red cards disrupted the team's balance and they dropped points in a game they needed to win. This defeat wasn't good for the league race.

Nantes need more wins to get out of the relegation zone. Maybe this match could be a fresh start for them. In football, a lot of things can happen unexpectedly. No matter how strong the teams are, one red card can completely turn the game around.

Marseille had a bad defeat against Nantes for sure but they aren't the only one here. Monaco is experiencing one of its bad seasons and Lille couldn't stand also in front of Rennes.
By the end of this round, it was clear that Lens and Paris Saint-Germain are flying above all the other teams with PSG continues to win by only a single goal difference. That's very frustrating for them and their fans since a random late goal by their opponent could ruin their chase for Lens and for the title..

I would have expected much more from Marseille too, given, that they are still fighting for a good position in the league. It is clear that we all expected Marseille to win, now they must try to recover for the next match with consistency and patience.

Does anyone even consider Lens a serious contender? I don't understand your comparison with Arsenal. Bookmakers are currently pricing PSG at around 1.05, despite the fact that PSG isn't even first in Ligue 1. There's no competition there. By the end of the season, PSG will likely have a lead of around 10 points, maybe more, while Lens might even lose second place. It might be possible that we'll see a repeat of the 22-23 season, when Lens was formally just 1 point behind PSG, but it's unlikely.

Rather than been happy for Nantes, I feel disappointed with Marseille but that is a forgone cane and I will say Congratulations to them on that three points they have been able  to get points to get them to increase their position on the table but the thing I guess is that they will not be able  to have the consistency to maintain this pace moving forward.

Both still have a decent chance of winning a trophy this season, but it depends heavily on consistency in the face of competition. I personally have much more confidence in PSG, although Lens can't be discounted due to their similar chances and I hope there are other candidates for the trophy this season to make Ligue 1 more interesting.

There probably won't be any other contenders. Because Lens and Paris Saint-Germain have significantly more points than the others. Paris Saint-Germain is in second place with 39 points, and Marseille is in third with 32. I don't think Marseille will be in the title race anymore. They'll just try to make things easier for Lens. They'll try to win their match against Paris Saint-Germain. Marseille won the first match at home, but I don't think they can win away. Lens, on the other hand, will try to maintain their performance without losing, representing the other teams and aiming for the championship. France has become a very interesting place. Right now, it could be said that there are two groups: Paris Saint-Germain and the rest. If Paris Saint-Germain doesn't win the championship, the other teams will be happy. Usually people do say it is more difficult to win a team that has got a man down than to win a team with its complete 11 players, it is very understandable that two players were down, that was so much of an advantage for Nantes but my point still remains  that they would have been more careful than they were in this game and at most a red card would have been all they would have gotten.

I know PSG won't have a hard time overtaking Lens if the gap is only 1 point, but Lens should get the credit they deserve for their hard work so far this season. This sort of challenge is one thing that has been missing in the French league1 for several decades and perhaps the reason why the league continues to attract less attention as a lot of people considers the league to be a less competitive league due to the dominance of a particular club, so I think it is quite interesting to see another team challenge PSG for the title despite the fact the point difference isn't much to conclude where the title might be heading at the end of the season.

In first half of this season, PSG dropped 12 points, Lens have 11 and Marseille almost 19 with this ratio, there is nothing guaranteed about which team will drop how many points because on match day any result can happen and in first half, Lens was surprisingly best team, this gives them good advantage.

PSG is having pressure of Champions league while their performance in first half was also not like they played in last season, this will make things interesting while Champions league will enter into knockout stage, this will bring more workload. Lens is having good time they are not involved in any competition, this giving them chance of staying at the top without any challenge and keep things on balance.
