Mentally Marseille does appear like a very strong side, but by virtue of strength and capacity, PSG is a better side, they have got the form and the depth that Marseille does not have and that will be their absolute advantage  that will position them way ahead of Marseille.  But then I will still not underestimate Marseille because I strongly believe  they can achieve even far more.

Marseille can not defeat PSG again after initially defeating them in their first meeting this season the very day Dembele won the best player, PSG was battling with a lot of injury cases in the team but right now they still have some players under injury but they appear better than Marseille in their recent performance so they have what it takes to defeat them in this game. Mentally Marseille is not in good form they do not have what it takes to defeat PSG they will not be underestimated by PSG but the coach of PSG will not repeat the mistake of losing to them again not even when they have the plains of defending their French cup and the league which they won last season.

Marseille were very unfortunate not to win the French Super Cup, to be honest it was very good for them to be able to maintain the position of the match with a draw against PSG but in the penalty round they were really bad and could not be expected, Hamed Traore and Matt O'Riley failed in the first and second kicks, only one kick in this round was successful which was at the feet of Michael Amir Murillo, really Marseille wasted their chance to get the title and they have been fasting for a long time in the title.

Congratulations to Paris Saint-Germain the Trophée des Champions. They were saved at the end of the game by Ramos. It was a narrow escape for them and they should be thankful to Dembele and Ramos for making it possible, Dembele proved why he's world class and a ballon d'or winner, however there's another player that was really impressive, Mason Green wood, he's a raw talent and supposed to be in teams like PSG, Barcelona or Real Madrid, performing at top level and competing for the ballon d'or tittle.

Marseille played a wonderful game yesterday despite losing the trophy to Paris Saints Germans in the penalty shootout. They definitely should have won without going to penalty shootout but comes PSG questionable goal in the last minute. Marseille should admit they are very bad in penalty kick, it's a slap on any top team to be terrible when it comes to shooting penalties. You never can't tell when a crucial game will end up in penalty, it earn PSG a trophy yesterday. They are good penalty takers and the goalie is also good in penalty shootout. He helped PSG to remain in the game during regular time and during the penalty too. Congratulations to PSG by the way.

If you consider the statistics in this game it would be very difficult to relate it to the score line because PSG had so many chances at goal and dominated their opponents vigorously but failed to utilise most of the chances they created at goal, it seemed as if they were very unlucky on that night, if luck was their side then the score line would have been different, maybe 4-1 or 3-1, but they managed to get all 3 points which is most important at least to continue fighting for the title.

I had already given up thinking that Marseille will take advantage of their lead to win the trophy but they lost it all when they couldn't defend their goal to the last 2 minutes that was left in the added time before the Referee would have signalled the final whistle and PSG scored then went ahead to defeat them in the penalties. I wish Marseille will learn their lessons in this game it would be better for them because they wasted a golden opportunity to take home the trophy yesterday and it's a shame that they allowed PSG to win the trophy that was almost in their arms.

Marseille had been working hard to snatch the 2025 Trophee des Champions trophy from PSG, but a small mistake in the final minutes of the match made their struggle during the 90 minutes of normal time ended in vain. PSG were made to struggle after Mason Greenwood successfully executed a penalty perfectly and Willian Pacho scored an own goal in the 87th minute. Had Marseille focused more on defending their area and not given PSG the chance to score Goncalo Ramos dramatic goal in the 90+5 minute, perhaps the trophy would have been theirs.

Luck was still on PSG side as they managed to equalize in the final minutes and completely dominated the penalty shootout. I think this trophy will be a great start for PSG in 2026, and they will be even more motivated to chase Lens and return to the top of the table.
