Lyon were able to win their game against Angers today at the Groupama stadium and this is the 3rd home win they are having this season and it's considerable to say they are having a good start to the new season and currently, with this win they sit 2nd behind PSG with 2 points gap which might not last because the other teams would be playing tomorrow and definitely the likes of Lille, Monaco and Strasbourg may secure winnings.
 Lyon were the better team tonight but I feel that they could have done better and scored more goals because the defense of Angers was very poor and they were making mistakes that should have been punished but they were lucky.
 Three points in the bag was eventually the main goal and they achieved it.

After Lyon surprisingly lost to Rennes last weekend, I knew Lyon would do everything within their power to bounce back to their winning ways against Angers, which they finally achieved. Lyon dominated Angers but couldn't score a lot of goals against Angers, but Tessmann's goal for Lyon against Angers in the 65th minute was enough to earn Lyon all three points. Lyon are tied on the points with PSG, but if PSG win their game against Marseille on Sunday, PSG will lead Lyon by 3 points on the French ligue 1 table.

Lyon will improve further in the league after resolving their financial problems at the beginning of the year. Their only defeat was against Rennes, so they're being more cautious in the league. Paris Saint-Germain is on track to win, and they're reacting with disdain to Lyon's reaction.

With PSG current performance, i don't think any team is a contender for the title. All other teams will be contending for the other positions that will qualify for next champions league, Lyon are performing just fine to maintain their position, with some level of consistency they should be able to finish somewhere at the top. Lyon finishing up there is an achievement so far, qualifying in the champions league should be a good way to end the season for Lyon.

PSG does stand jn a very good and unopposedpositionin the Ligue1 title race this season and others will just have to contend for the champions league spot in the season ahead but they cannot be underestimated because if PSG gets too focus on the Champions League and put in lesser energy into their domestic league games, they may get surprised when they will eventually have loose it to another team who puts in the work, all other teams may at this point look like they cannot win but if they see a chance to, I believe  they will use it to the fullest.

Whenever I'm betting on Ligue 1 matches and i come across PSG the first thing that cross my mind is to give them straight winning that's how dominate they're in their Ligue you can see that even while two of their best players are injured they still have a depth filled with talents as substitutes to keep them dominant and their petty rivals pressured in every matchday. Sometimes i don't even feel like watching their matches cause it has no elements of surprises, PSG will always win.

Brest - Nice could be one of the weirdest games recently.    Nice got close to scoring more goals statistically compared to Brest. But they were still the one losing by 4-1...

Serious finishing problems appeared on Nice side. They haven't had a good start so far as well. Could this be another problematic season for them after 3 years? Or is it still too early to say that?

Lyon got another win yesterday. They were good offensively but can't say very well in defense. Angers also found so many opportunities to score. 1-0 win for Lyon at the end...

Actually they could have been on a 5-game winning streak now.    If it weren't for that red card in the Rennes game, they were quite likely to win.

But I still continue to admire their form so far. 4W, 1L in the league so far. They are one of the best starters. Despite facing big financial problems...

Olympique Lyonnais football team did brilliant job in the last match as that team goal was only 1 in this match and stats was also in the favour of that team. The shots of Olympique Lyon football team were more in number and these were 16 in this match and 5 shots were on target. The possession percentage of that team was 67 percent in this match and passes of that team were also more in this match which were 583 . The pass accuracy of that team was also brilliant in this match which was 90 percent in this match but opponent team stats was very low in this match and that team shots were 10 in this match and 2 shots were on target. The possession percentage of Angers football team was only 33 percent in this match and passes were also very low in this match.

Lyon had a lot of financial trouble but their squad was strong, and it is still strong as we can see so far they have done better than Marseille and Monaco. It would be great for France to have these four at the top four because they are the best ones.

With PSG, Lyon, Monaco, Marseille at top four and nobody else, for like 5 years in a row, these teams already have high income, which would mean that we are going to see these teams have a lot more success. Smaller teams that get lucky to be there, end up being bad a year later, so it never helps France at all. But if these top four end up at top four, and then do that for five years, they would get incredibly rich and then France could place themselves at third place, maybe even higher.

I bet PSG to win, and in my multi bet there are only 2 games left and one of them is the PSG game, with this change of date of the game to tomorrow, I will have to wait until tomorrow to see the game and what result it will have, I am still hopeful that PSG will win this game, of course playing away from home is not easy and with this storm I would not be surprised if tomorrow there is no game either. Anyway, at some point there will be a game

It was the first win for Brest, indeed Nice looked like they had more shots but many were not on target so they couldn't score their finishing was bad, in fact Brest looked more solid even though they only had a few shots but from 5 of them on target they were able to score 4 goals, that was truly an extraordinary result even so it's still too early to judge Nice having a bad season because this is just the beginning of the season and it's not yet clear what their future will be like but what is clear is that they will continue to make improvements in their performance to continue to feel better.

I wish they do because it now looks like a very big joke in the french ligue1 where PSG owns it all, we know that PSG have good players that can get everything for them, but I ask is it that no other team can challenge this, let's leave that for another day, my problem with lyon is not about how the started is how the will end the season, I would have loved a very competitive atmosphere in the french ligue1 where every team will compete very well to decide who wins the french ligue1 little, soon we will see the wonders happening and before we could know it, PSG will be given the title when there is many matches to go, this makes the ligue less attractive.

Just found out that the PSG match has been postponed because of bad weather and I read somewhere that there's a law in League 1 that stipulates, if a game is postponed because of bad weather, it has to be played the next day. Tomorrow's Monday and same tomorrow is the Balloon d'Or ceremony, we all know that some first team players from PSG will be attending and as such PSG has asked that the match be postponed and Marseille said no, they must play it tomorrow. Since Marseille insists they play it, then the rule is the rule, let them play it. For me, since the ceremony is in the evening, let them fix the match in the morning.

Paris Fc lost at home to Strasbourg by 2:3 if Paris FC is to remain in the French ligue 1 then they will have to start getting results because I have not been convincing with their performance with the way that they conceive goals am really afraid of if they will not be relegated, with the type of players that Paris FC signed I expected that they will be competitive but they have only won two matches out of their five game's.


Paris FC is not playing very well the coach should do a better job one area of the team that the coach has to work on is in the area of the defense because with the way that they have been conceiving goals the team is in serious problems.

Monaco has performed quite well as an average team in this new season of the French Super League because it is true that this team has changed its style after getting some great players in this new season.Recently, we have seen them manage to win a very simple match against Metz in Ligue 1, even with their new signing Ansu Fati scoring a brace in this match. To be honest this player might have been humiliated at the Catalan club but now he has a certain space where if he does well, this Monaco team will be obliged to respect him in Ligue 1. Moreover in this current season, stubbornness has flared up in him because the former Catalan club player has already managed to score a total of three goals for this team.

The thing is that these clubs in the French league1 don't have the financial ability that PSG enjoys in the league and their signings can't be compared to that of PSG because they can't afford the world class players as PSG does every transfer season in bracing up the strength of their team.  Every season those other teams can only try to outshine PSG but they lack the quality of players to withstand the fight PSG brings to them.

There were 2 matches today that made me feel strange,

• Auxerre vs Toulouse 1 - 0
• Le Havre vs Lorient 1 - 1

Initially, I thought Toulouse's start to the season with two wins seemed like a positive change in their already impressive form. But it was a shock after the losing streak, and I was even more surprised to see Toulouse lose to Auxerre, who were down to 10 men. In the last 5 meetings between these 2 teams, Toulouse have beaten Auxerre 3x. This is absolutely ridiculous, and I think the Toulouse name fits perfectly. 

And for Le Havre, it was also a bit disappointing, playing at home but not being able to capitalize on that advantage to secure a win. Meanwhile, Lorient's form was actually quite poor, but it's a shame that Le Havre missed out on a chance to get all 3 points.

There are many teams that don't have the financial resources of PSG. That's why PSG has been clearly ahead of every other team in the league for a long time. If the financial situation in the French league improves and a few teams reach a level where they can compete, there might be some fun to be had there too.

Such hopes are always in the hearts of French football fans, but every season they only see PSG's continued dominance through the players they have bought. Because other teams haven't made the same wise moves as PSG, they will clearly always struggle to face competition in Ligue 1, as the players they have bought are only ordinary players who themselves are not particularly expensive. So, this is not just a hope; there must be concrete follow-up from all other teams if they want to prevent PSG from continuing its dominance in Ligue 1.
