In my opinion, Lyon was very unlucky in that game. They completely dominated possession, to the point where they had 70% of the ball. They scored a goal very early, just 24 minutes into the game, and I thought they would win the game comfortably. But when it came to the final minutes, I was shocked by the equalizer, and when I thought the game would end with at least a draw, I saw them concede a winning goal. Honestly, it must have been a great disappointment for the Lyon coach.

When i saw that the bookies gave PSG about 2.12 odds i was having doubt if they can win with that odd and moreover Lille is not a team to be looked down on because they are among the big teams in the Ligue 1. When Nuno Mendes scored for PSG in the 66' i was hoping for them to make it 2 goals or face an equalizer from Lille. I understand the fact that PSG players might have low gingering spirit since they exhausted their strength in the Champions League match against Barcelona during the midweek. It’s good to see Marseille perform very well to give Paris Saint Germain a good competition I just hope they maintain form and continue on this path, it’s good to see the league being a bit competitive at the top, so PSG will know any slack in form someone will take over. I just knew from the beginning after the line up was out that there might be a problem in the game, most people will probably predict PSG to victorious in the game neglecting that sometimes LOSC Lille can be a pain the neck for them especially when they are playing at home and with the line up that PSG started I had that feeling they will struggle. Maybe the manager is trying to rest some players for the Strasbourg game or maybe the players need rest but I feel starting all the first team players would have changed the outcome of the game.

The game was more silent in the first half but the second was much more interesting and most of the chances and the goals happened in the  second half.

Now PSG will be facing Strasbourg in their next game and with Strasbourg current form I think it will be a difficult game for them but being the home team will give them the advantage to win.
