It's going to be yet another walkover for Paris Saint German in this game again Lorient who are currently occupying the 16th position in the league table. Even though PSG has been having serious challenges recently due to injuries, with th players gradually getting back to their best, I think PSG would win this game by at least 3 goals margin, say 3:0 or 4-1 in favour of the away team PSG.

Even before the start of this match, defending champion Paris Saint-Germain may have had a glimmer of hope of victory, indeed Lorient's recent statistics and position make us believed that they will not be able to give the French points leaders a hard time.This is going to be a very easy tactical match for the PSG manager as he may not have to think too much about any of the Lorient players in this game, don't even think about how to face him, because that team doesn't have any high-quality players attached to it.

Actually we all know that PSG has its own tradition and they were able to play with that attitude today against Lorient in a very carefree and spontaneous way. Meanwhile, all eyes will be on Ousmane Dembele, as he may be looking for a second goal in today's match after returning from injury although he scored a goal against Bayer Leverkusen and I believe his fans are probably pleased with his achievement.

If they fail to do so, they will lose their chance to regain the top spot this week, where Paris Saint-Germain dropped two points. Even if Marseille wins their match, they will reach 20 points and still fall short of Paris Saint-Germain. Currently, no team has a chance of overtaking Paris Saint-Germain. If Lyon wins their match, they will be level on points with them.

But this kind of thing is expected when we want the competition to be more interesting in Ligue 1 because indeed until now PSG can only stop to get their points when they do not do the match well and although in the last 5 matches they still have not tasted defeat but this series clearly makes some other clubs have the opportunity to catch up with PSG's current position.

Now with the draw that occurred, Lyon can take advantage of the situation to be able to catch up with the points owned by PSG which will make the competition a little more pronounced in Ligue 1 although maybe for the final result it will always be guessed who the champion is.
In terms of performance on the field PSG is also not bad but they are always missed which makes the results not what they expected.

From the performance of PSG in their last 3 matches of they were to be in a league where there is much competition they will be finding it difficult to get to the top of the table again but in this case they are dropping points but still you will see them topping the league sometimes that could be the reason why they drop points anyhow but when they play in the champions League you see them coming out to ensure they get a win in the game. Marseille and Lens may try to challenge them but wait till you see all the injured players of PSG get back to the team you will see how Marseille and Lens will drop points for PSG to dominate and win the league as usual.

I will say the draw came as a shock to everyone, how did PSG draw against a team that’s currently at the bottom of the table, I never expected that because I was just so sure that PSG will be winning in the match, I was even thinking the match was going to be a easy win for PSG, but at the end the match ended as a draw.

Most people that picked PSG in their bet will be losing today, because most people will be giving PSG straight win in the match, people won’t even expect the match to be difficult for PSG. Seriously am disappointed in PSG with the way they played today, matches like this are suppose to be used to accumulate more points, getting just 1 point isn’t really the best.

Paul Pogba poised for potential Monaco debut against Paris FC

According to a report from Foot Mercato, Paul Pogba (32) has a strong chance of being included in an AS Monaco squad for the first time as they prepare to face Paris FC in Ligue 1 on Saturday evening. The France international midfielder is yet to make a competitive appearance for Les Monégasques since he joined the club on a free transfer.

Pogba hasn’t featured in a professional football match since September 2023, when he featured for former club Juventus against Empoli in Serie A. The Frenchman was banned from football for four years after being charged with doping. The former Manchester United midfielder saw his ban reduced to 18 months and would have been eligible to feature again for the Bianconeri, but his contract was terminated.

Pogba to make his debut?
Whilst being included in the squad wouldn’t guarantee that the midfielder would make his debut, it would be a major step forward for the 32-year-old as he looks to make his comeback. L’Équipe reported that when the World Cup winner signed, he would have to wait until October to feature as he rebuilt his fitness.

It definitely wasn’t a walk over for PSG today as the game ended up in a 1:1 draw and PSG dropping points but this has no effects as they’re still top of the league. This French Ligue un is really not competitive. The levels gap is too wide, PSG are like in Level 1 the highest level and about 3-5 teams are in same level of 5 and the rest littered 6-10…. Look at Lens that was in second position had to lose their game today to a relegation zone team even Marseille had to draw, and Lyon who were leading 3:0 also ended in a draw with equal red cards on both sides.
There’s absolutely no team to benefit from this opportunity even if PSG lose 3 straight games, I’m sure they will still win the league.

I think no one expected that Lorient would get a point out of this game. I was thinking this was gonna be an easy win for PSG and it ended in a draw. I cannot remember the last time we have had such a close league in the french league. From first to to six it only two point difference and anyone can be in the first place. PSG drawing 1-1 against Lorient (16th place in the table) is a big surprise. I'm not sure what the odds were before the game, but I'm guessing PSG was a big favourite despite Lorient having home advantage.
PSG dominated the game with a massive 79% possession, but they didn't make a huge number of shots on goal, only 12 (7 on target), which is less than I'd expect from them.
PSG took a lead in the 49th but couldn't stop Lorient from equalising only 2 minutes later.

Marseille failed to take this opportunity to reclaim the lead position, as they too lost points playing against Angers (2-2).

The above is good news for Monaco, who jumped into the 2nd place after winning 5-3 against Nantes, and are only 1 point behind PSG.

They are just still lucky to be on top of the table and if they are not being careful they might drop down from the top because of their recent inconsistency. The competition this season looks very much intense for now so if they don't improve their performance these clubs will be more motivated to challenge them. Most of the injured players are fit to play some minutes so I don't see why the coach will choose to start with substitute players and keep the main players on the bench. It will be difficult to win when they are already losing even if he makes changes to bring in good players instead start with them and when the game is in hand you can bring in these substitute players.

They have dropped too many points now and needs to be careful about the players that start the game because a lot of people are tired of the inconsistency and even gamblers are complaining of the results. Everyone expected a win from them today but they still failed, at this point I think I will have to stop gambling on them for a short while till they are back.

Well the shift of power is going to be very very difficult seeing that PSG have really dominated and have a strong grips in that league, the way this Enrique team is designed and playing it's going to be very very difficult seeing teams like lille, Marseille or even Lyon competing against them for the title and that's just the truth although maybe things might change but it's definitely going to be very very very hard for them even as PSG drew their game against lorient today.

I'm trying to wrap my head around this patience game because who would have thought about Paris Saint-Germain not hitting against all odds to see the incompetence int the club. These players are actually hot and broken because Paris Saint-Germain will lose more games following how they failed to package.

PSG have more tough games ahead, knowing what they can do now and win games with ease is a good call. Luis Enrique will be incharge of games as usual and knowing how desperate you want a win is certainly something is wrong with the club, figuring out and having a place to stay.
