It was indeed nq opportunity missed by Marseille and yes they will wish for it in the near future, but I have another concern in this regards, it bothers on their ability to have been able to maintain that top position if they had eventually secured it, because the point differences would not have been much, so their stay there would have been so temporary and almost as good as them not getting there.

Lens, PSG, and Marseille are already in a tight spot at the top of Ligue 1, so it's going to be even more interesting if the top three teams change positions every week. I really like this kind of competition in Ligue 1, as it's rare to see such a close race in previous seasons. But this season, the intensity of the competition has already begun to show before the middle of the season, and it's really exciting for Ligue 1 fans and those who have followed PSG's performances in previous seasons.

Lens are the new leader... They have really benefited well from PSG's point loss on this week. Lens had an easy game on paper maybe but Angers weren't in a bad form for 2 weeks too. It was a nice win by them.

I really didn't like PSG's game at all against Monaco by the way. Horrible first half. Better second half effort but still not good enough. I'm saying it again, this season's PSG aren't even close to last season's in the Ligue 1.  

I think Dembélé should have been in the starting lineup. Maybe they could have scored easier then.

Because PSG's financial capability is extraordinary, they can buy any player they want due to their finances and their wealthy owner. With a competent and high-quality coach like Luis Enrique, plus an unbeatable squad in the French league, it is very easy for PSG to win the French league even though last night they slipped and lost to AS Monaco. Now I realize how much I was wrong about PSG in the match against Monaco.    I thought PSG would benefit from Monaco's bad look lately. You know how they got 2 red cards in 2 matches in a row here and lost 4-1 in both.

Their CL match against Pafos also didn't end well. But this still didn't prevent them from beating PSG home. Good work done! It's mostly because of seeing PSG not in their best shape. They are far from being dominant as the last year in the league so far.

In the 22/23 season Lens finished 1 point behind PSG. Could they be that competitive again?

After PSG lost to Monaco, I was hoping that Marseille would seize the opportunity to go top of the Ligue 1 table, but I am not surprised that Marseille couldn't seize the opportunity because that is their way. If Marseille can remain consistent in winning their matches this season, they can still get the opportunity to top Ligue 1 table because PSG can drop points anytime.

Marseille failed to take advantage of the opportunity. Marseille  would have been at the top of the table if they had won against Toulouse. And PSG would have moved to third place in the table. But Marseille shared the points in the match.
Luis Enrique must now understand that the road to winning the Ligue 1 title this season is not as easy as in previous seasons. PSG must play well now if  they want to win the Ligue 1 title. If they only focus on the Champions league matches, PSG will probably not be able to win any title this season. I think they should  give effort in the Champions league after ensuring a good performance in the Ligue 1 matches. If they do not do this, PSG will also lose the ligue 1 title.

Upcoming three games are going to be challenging for them against Brest in away, Galatasaray at home and Marseille in away game. After beating PSG their confidence level is high, but they needed to be keep their performance at good level for having good results because their chances are not good in champions league for staying into top 24 teams.

Milan is leading Serie A and it's not in any UEFA competition. Lens is leading the Ligue 1 and is not in any UEFA competition, Leipzig is second in the Bundesliga and Napoli won the Serie A after not playing in any during that season, seems like for some leagues the matches are taking their toll.

Anyhow, not much to play till the end of the year, only two games that matter, PSG vs Rennes but bookies don't see any surprises here at 1.3 and next rounds Marseille vs Monaco, which will be a game that might rattle the standings again.

You're right, they might lose some matches but one good thing about them is that they don't fail to win their domestic league trophy, moreover it's very rare to see team so the whole season unbeaten in their domestic leagues, only few teams have done that so I don't know why anyone would be bothered about PSG losing or drawing matches in a league where they're the only dominant team.

 Monaco is not even a threat to PSG despite the draw, the only threat I feel PSG has is Marseille and it's because of Greenwood, even at that I  still believe in PSG when it comes to their domestic league and I'm pretty sure they'll start expanding the gap again when most of their injured players start returning, moreover PSG have a better depth than other teams.

I understand your frustration with PSG result yesterday, I also made a mistake, but we also need to remember that football is full of surprises, the favorite team can't always end the match with 3 points even last season PSG was defeated by a smaller team than Monaco when their performance was much stronger than now, besides we know that there are several key players who are injured at this time. Now PSG needs to realize that this season the competition is quite tight so they have to correct mistakes throughout the season to keep the title in their cabinet at the end of the season.

Football is indeed unpredictable. Even in my previous post, I was very confident that PSG would win, given their lineup and their performance so far. But, indeed, nothing is absolutely right. And this is precisely why PSG was defeated by Monaco. And even worse, Monaco, with only 10 men, beat PSG. That's not funny.

Even though PSG dominated the game, even with that much attack, I'm not sure if it was Monaco's defense that was so strong, or because of PSG's poor tackling. No wonder they received player ratings like this:

PSG are just as much of a favorite as if they were comfortably leading by 5-6 points. I'm not even sure how fair that assessment is. On the one hand, PSG is head and shoulders above everyone else in the league, but on the other, they're in the overall contender group, and the next stage of the season will be more challenging, especially for PSG, where they'll be prioritizing their Champions League games.

PSG's squad is not weak. Their  main problem is that they are focused on the Champions league. Luis enrique is giving his full effort in the Champions League matches. A few days ago, psg  won 5 - 3 against the strong Tottenham in the champions league match. PSG scored 5 goals against tottenham's strong defense. But PSG could not score a single goal in the match against Monaco. PSG has now lost the top spot in the table. Perhaps now Luis Enrique will be more serious in the ligue 1 matches. I believe  that we will see better performance from PSG in the upcoming Ligue 1 matches. Luis enrique will now try his best to regain the top spot.

Looking at this lineup, I seriously won't subscribe to any argument that says Paris Saint Germaine failed to win against Monaco because of the injuries to some of the key players. Even when some of their key players are injured, Paris Saint Germaine is a team that's got the deepest depth in the French League so it's definitely a no-brainer for anyone to say the reason why the French champions failed to win at Monaco was because they didn't face a full squad. In a game they had the likes of Kwaraskhelia, Vitinha, João Neves in attack with Goncalo Ramos and Ousmane Dembele coming from the bench, they should've won but Monaco was the best team on the pitch and rightly deserve their win

I think PSG is weak right now because even though they want to focus more on defending their champions League title they can not fail to defend the league title also because they also won the league last season when they won the champions League but now they are doing well in the champions League than in their league and it's going to be a problem if they end up losing the league and also lose the Champions League. Winning Tottenham in the champions League was a good one but they lost to Monaco which made them drop from the top position, PSG will regret it they don't win the league cause winning the champions League ahead of Arsenal, Bayern Munich and Real Madrid is not going to be an easy one for them.

Lens is just a point ahead of PSG, I do not see it like they are going to be too bothered about this difference, PSG needs just one win and they will reclaim the top position on the table, meanwhile I doubt how long Lens will be able to maintain that spot enough on the table, they have been doing far above average this season, but they are definitely not an equal to PSG to displace PSG for too long a time.
