I know I football anything can happen but you see Lens winning the Ligue 1 title, that I am not seeing coming, their brief consistency I have witnessed recently is not moving me to think that much of them, somehow I believe PSG can later turn around to coming to top the table and win the title, they have the experience and has actually known their way around the league so well that I do not expect less of them and I can wait till the end of the season to believe if they have lost it or still stand the chance.

Currently the most in-form team in the Ligue 1 is Lens. They have been winning for 5 games in a row!    Teams like Monaco and Strasbourg are also among those teams they beat.

No doubt why they are the leader while PSG are struggling. The gap is only 1 point of course and most probably PSG will become the champions anyway. But nice to see some competition for now...

The rest is more like trailing behind for now. Marseille and Lille both are 4 points away from PSG and the rest is already far away.

I don't believe Lens will go on a winning streak. It will stall after a while, and then they'll start dropping points. Paris Saint-Germain, on the other hand, has already dropped a lot of points. Their league position is temporary, and they'll soon be in sole control of the league again.

It seems that Lyon has few players who are effective in attack, where their striker Satriano not even standing out. And I think Lyon really needs a replacement for their striker. Perhaps they can take advantage of the upcoming transfer window to improve this weakness. We can see that several Lyon players are not in the top 5 of the top scorers list. And even Lyon midfielder Pavel Sulc has a better record than their striker Martin Satriano. Or even Corentin Tolisso is more impressive in the Europa League. So I think Lyon needs to revamp their attack revamp or even to improve. And this is very important to improve their performance in upcoming matches. Next Lyon will host Le Havre which is a lower-tier team in the standings. I predict that Lyon will win this match considering Le Havre's poor performance lately. And because of this, it is a bit easier for Lens to keep their performance stable in Ligue 1. On the other hand, PSG is more interested in Champions League matches. I believe Paris Saint-Germain will win the league at the end of the season. Their current position is purely due to bad luck. Paris Saint-Germain is one of the strongest teams in both the Champions League and the French league. In fact, they could easily be considered the strongest team in the French league. They are currently second in the league due to points lost in a few difficult matches, but I don't know how long this will last. I think they can easily win the championship towards the end of the season.

The situation PSG have in the Ligue 1 is quite interesting. They are the complete opposite of their look in the previous season. They have lost points in really simple matches. Actually like all matchups are simple for them technically considering the gap between teams.

We all know Paris Saint Germain might come back to take back their rightful positions in the French ligue 1, and again they might also end up losing it to lens like they did few seasons past, don't forget anything can actually happen in this game of soccer and lens is still proving themselves worthy of winning the French ligue 1 title, and I will so much love it if it actually happened to be so, because that alone will motivate a lot of teams in the French ligue 1 to step up their game, as in to rise and challenge Paris Saint Germain rather than seeing them the winniner every time the season starts it's so boring that way.

The most important thing right is that RC Lens now have the lead and it's left for them to decide their fate considering the title race, I believe they know what's at stake and what PSG can do if they make any mistakes within these period. PSG on the other would be also looking out for opportunities to get back to the top as soon as possible which means we might have a very close race between the winner of the title and the runner up at the end of the season hopefully.

Of course, since the points gap between PSG and Lens is only 1 point (Lens has 34 points and PSG has 33), the possibility of PSG winning the match is still there, and quite significant. Even if both teams continue to have the same results, the final result will be proven in April 2026 when Lens vs. PSG.

Anyway, regarding PSG's Champions League draw against Athletic Club, it was quite unfortunate. They scored a goalless draw, even though PSG had over 70% ball possession. And even so many shots, just imagine how poor their attack was, with that many shots and no goals scored.

PSG still has a great chance to retain the title even though they are currently 1 point behind Lens. Having a strong squad compared to other teams in Ligue 1 makes it easier for PSG to continue dominating, although currently Lens and Marseille still have a chance, but ultimately they will be eliminated due to being unable to maintain the performance that PSG has done in the last few seasons.
The tight schedule has seen PSG's performance decline slightly, but that doesn't mean they'll give up easily in defending their title. PSG still has everything they need to win the title, and perhaps as the season enters its second half, things will change and PSG will once again lead the table with a large points gap over their rivals.

It is not that they are more focused on champions league but more about how they know that they will win ligue 1 anyways, it is not a big deal for them. Sure they may not look ahead now or doing that great but no matter what happens until the end of the season they will find a way to get ahead and win the league and the title.

So it is not really requiring too much of their time or focus since they know they can do that, it wouldn't be an issue and they will get the win there. However, UCL is not like that and even if they try really hard we are going to see them have a failure probably, not sure because maybe they will defend the title but it is going to be very tough, not many teams win it back to back because it is very difficult to do.

When they lose points in a match, their mentality will drop, especially since PSG has the opportunity to beat Lens again in the second meeting in Ligue 1.
