Good we all know Paris Saint Germain might wake up one day to reclaim their position no doubt, but while they are yet to do that I think the leading team is in more advantage to win the French ligue 1 title, because in as much as we are thinking Lens might not be consistent with this winning ways, let's not forget that they are also trying so hard to keep to it because that's the wish of any team to be a champion at the end of the season, ok now we are believing they might lose form what if it Paris Saint Germain that will lose the form and lens still top then with more convincing points? The fact is I just hope they keep to this form so they can win the league and not Paris Saint Germain, I think Paris Saint Germain should focus more on the UEFA Champions League.

And yet, with 5 minutes left in the game, the score is very slippery - only 3-2 in favor of PSG. PSG has been very shaky in the first third of the season. And sometimes I don't understand how it works—in the previous 15 games, PSG conceded 12 goals, while Metz scored 15. And now, in a game against the last-place team, PSG concedes two goals. And although I see that PSG is dominating overall, Metz regularly shoots at PSG's goal.

Yes it was really a different kind of match than I imagined. Metz scored 2 goals with a goal expectation of 0.62 which was unusual. If it weren't for their last goal my prediction was going to win.

PSG are really worse in the Ligue 1 this season that's clear. They should have already been many points ahead of Lens just as Bayern Munich are doing it in the Bundesliga with a 9-point gap to Leipzig.

I don't see how possible Lens and Marseille will be in the title race with PSG till the end. I believe that they will become weak due to fatigue as time goes on. That's when PSG will show them that they ain't the defending Champions by luck but by long-term consistency. I'm not bothered because Enrique knows what he's doing.

I know that much was expected from Monaco in this match based on the presence of some high profiled players but let's not forget that they didn't play against a weak side, they played against on of the top contenders in the league away from their home, and it's not as if Monaco didn't give their best, from the stats you could tell that they didn't lose without a fight.
 Anyways I'll agree to your statement if they lose their next match, although I dount that Monaco would get to the point of being very closer to the relegation zone, I believe they'll recover their form soon.

Metz attempting a comeback on PSG is what I didn’t see coming but, we must give it to them that, they presented some challenge to PSG. It was just a goal difference between them and they could have scored a third to get their equalizer. The absence of Dembele on the PSG team isn’t giving much room for this team to play at its peak, just like they did in the champions league but, they are slowly getting needed points to lead the league.

PSG did win this time, but the victory was quite reasonable considering PSG is a top club while Metz is at the bottom of Ligue 1.

However, there was something quite disappointing: their defense had deteriorated significantly. Against Metz, a bottom club, they conceded two goals, and even nearly ended in a draw, ultimately ending in a 2-3 scoreline. Even Metz, with their poor lineup, could disrupt the formation and strategy of PSG, last season's UCL champions.

I'm not sure Metz has improved that much, but this means something is wrong with PSG and needs to be fixed. The important thing is that they got three points, which is a plus.

PSG winning against Metz is a common thing, not something extraordinary, even when playing at Metz's home. Metz's current performance is very poor, being at the bottom of the French league standings. So PSG only narrowly won 3-2 against Metz, which is not something extraordinary. Metz football team performance was not great against Paris Saint-Germain football team because that team did 2 goals against that team. The stats of that team was very weak in this match because their shots were less in this match which were only 8 and 5 shots were on target and opponent team shots were 14 and 8 shots were on target. The possession percentage of both teams was different as one team did well and tried to do all things best and they won the match at the end And their possession was 63 percent and they did 3 goals in this match and Ramos was a person who did first goal of the match. After that we saw more goals by that team because they want to apply pressure on opponent team in which they became successful.

Lens has been performing great since the inception of the league but I don't see them as a title contenders, The best Lens can end up is a top four finish which I don't even think that is sure for them. The season is just getting to the business end from January alot of things is going to happen, some teams can still lose form which are on top now and others which has been struggling can still pick up form so the season is still uncertain but, what what is sure is that PSG is definitely going to win the league.

Yeah you’re on point friend!.. Lens is just enjoying the opportunity of sitting at the top for now, it’s just for a temporary time. One point lead isn’t something that we can say will give PSG -Paris St Germain a thing to worry about. The League is still young and Lens will not be able to hold onto the lead for long, they  should enjoy it now while they’re at the top cos by next year we’ll see a different team at the top.
If it were to be Marseille at the top maybe PSG Would be worried.

their success this season is truly remarkable, especially considering they are competing against a giant club like PSG. Their one point lead is truly commendable. Recently Lens won 2 - 0 to reclaim their top spot in Ligue 1 and after 16 rounds they are one point ahead of the defending champions PSG which is truly extraordinary for a smaller club. However  I think it might be premature to say that Lens will ultimately win the competition. PSG has a wealth of experience, squad depth  and historical achievements that are within their reach

The hallmark of Lens season has been their consistency and team chemistry, which has helped them secure crucial victories, it is not just a matter of luck. Therefore  finishing second and exceeding expectations would be a significant and meaningful achievement for Lens  especially in terms of UCL qualification and other aspects. However  whether they can keep PSG behind for the entire season seems doubtful. PSG did not become champions for no reason  and although this season is very competitive they are still considered the overall favorites

PSG has a greater financial capacity to acquire and sustain as many players as possible. Having enough players is an advantage since they could have replacements in times of injuries and fatigue. Lens and Marseille may not enjoy the same advantage, hence any player setback could be disastrous. Sometimes in sports, almost everything or situations can work in your favour. Players might not suffer from injuries and fatigue, and they can keep fighting until the end. We saw that happen in the EPL when Leicester City won the title even with a low budget. So we shouldn't write off Lens and Marseille because Mother Luck could be on their side this season.

I have said it that PSG still have the chance to win the title regardless of the slow moments  they have been experiencing recently, they have actually not been their very best with their performance but still we can see that they are not doing any bad so it is not even okay to think that they are probably not going to be in title race because of Lens thst I feel is temporarily occupying the top position.

Although Lens currently seems to be leading, the French League is, of course, dominated by Paris Saint-Germain. I think Paris Saint-Germain will take the lead for the rest of the season and widen the point gap with the other teams. Because Marseille, despite beating them, lost points to much weaker teams. There are many surprise results in France. Therefore, despite their point losses, Paris Saint-Germain is expected to win the championship at the end of the season.

On a season where Marseille is not reaching PSG and Monaco is playing horribly, I feel like we are dealing with a thing that would be a lot better and could have done much more for the league to be competitive. Lens is doing their best and kudos to them for playing this great, it's really a good period for them.

I agree that they will not win the league, there are so many games left and PSG is a much bigger club with a higher depth so we are going to see them be better nearing the end and Lens will not be this good. I think that losing and letting PSG take the top spot did not happen so far but will happen soon enough, we just need to wait. What they are doing is really impressive. But once you sink into the inside of how they are top, it gets interesting. They have only scored significantly less than PSG (26 vs. 35) and their goal difference is eight greater, yet they lead. That tells you one thing: Lens are pushing every last drop out of tight matches whilst PSG sometimes even sleepwalk through games they should have murdered.

The real hero right now? Robin Risser. That man is saving shots that he is not supposed to save. By the numbers, Lens should have conceded almost 22 goals, but they have managed to concede 13. It is a goalkeeper playing out of his head. And the thing with goalkeeper shape... it does not last forever.

Then there is the injury of Gradit. Broken leg, out until April. Loss of defensive anchor is colossal in a back-three system. Sage will be forced to patch that up with Sarr and anybody he can get.

PSG aren't invincible. And they literally allowed 18th-placed Metz to score twice last weekend as they won 3-2. And yet they are creating opportunities in a manner that would say we will score more than we miss in the future. Lens can't afford that luxury.

I wouldn't want to say Lyon are back to their best or getting to a better performance because they are suppose to be at their best before now, imagine Lens as league leaders for 3 weeks now if I'm not mistaken and they are suppose to be the bigger boys who would try as much as they can to push PSG out from sitting at the top but they (Lyon) are seriously 10 away from Lens, is like a shame to be struggling for this long, can't even remember when last Lyon played in the champions league, honestly they need it I mean their best performance.
Le Havre haven't been in a better shape and I was expecting more than a goal in that game from Lyon but they first of all missed a penalty and had 4 shots on target but could not convert at least 3 until they got lucky, imagine if they had been on a red card, it would have been a turn of action for Le Havre to beat Lyon, so I prefer to see Lyon fighting to be at the top like Marseille are doing then where they are now.
