Indeed, I initially thought Marseille would be the toughest competitor in Ligue 1. But it turns out it's Lens. At least so far, Lens still holds first place in the standings, with only a one-point gap over PSG. Lens has been able to maintain their performance, especially in these current matches.

PSG's form has indeed dropped even more, even the top scorer isn't from PSG, but Marseille. Yes, Mason Greenwood is the top scorer with 11 goals in Ligue 1.

I don't understand how Marseille can stay below the expectations in a season with opportunities. They should have been way better than Lens this season. But it turns out they make simple point losses more than them instead!

Greenwood has scored one third of the number of goals of his team in the Ligue 1 so far. He is in top 3 among the players who created big chances as well. I really wonder how they are planning to keep him at the team next summer.

Lens still need to be consistent, as they have helped in bringing what we all have been wanting to see in Ligue 1. The league was boring when PSG were the only team dominating it, but now, even if Lens do not end up winning the title this season, which I know will be a bit hard as the season is already underway, they still deserve credit. Lens must remain consistent, especially as PSG are now showing weak team vibes, since they are no longer able to keep their clean sheet record this season.

When PSG starts giving importance to Ligue 1, it will be difficult for Lens to stay at the top. Even if Lens has to beat PSG to win the title, PSG will definitely play seriously in that match and Lens will take away their place. PSG is not far away, only 1 point away. Lens will definitely make a mistake and PSG will take advantage of that mistake and take the top spot. This fight will not be easy for PSG either, it will be very difficult to give importance to Ligue 1 and maintain continuity during the busy Champions League. I don’t think anyone will easily say that Lens will win the league over PSG with only a one point difference. If the points gap were wider, like over 10 points, it might look better and people might think that Lens could win the league. But as far as the points gap is concerned, it is just one point. I still have confidence in PSG that they will be the team to win the league.

It is clear that PSG do not have any real competitor in the French league for now, so they will be the team to continue dominating Ligue 1. What is happening currently happens often; PSG may not lead the table for some periods, but with time, before the league ends, they usually claim the top spot. The teams at the top cannot be consistent with their performances because they do not have strong squads to maintain great form.but let’s see how this season goes. Maybe Lens will prove many people wrong and surprise everyone by winning the league.

To me, even a bigger point gap would have been doubtful. I mean if it was 10 points or something then yeah I would have said Lens has a pretty high chance and would require a miracle for them to lose the title. But with something like five or six points then I would say it wasn't really that possible for them to win and would still see PSG as the highly likely candidate to win the league. Even in a ten point lead today, it would have been not impossible for PSG to comeback and win, only if they care about league and not focus on UCL.

In terms of ability, PSG certainly have a much better chance of winning the title because they possess far greater quality, but a few mistakes could diminish that chance. Lens currently sit in first place despite being so close to PSG in points. While I'm confident PSG can close the gap, we hope Lens can put a little more pressure on PSG to make Ligue 1 more competitive this season. We also hope that other teams can also put pressure on PSG to make the competition much more exciting.

PSG will definitely be able to win it again this year, but now they are always taking a break, so let's say it's very early to say who will win, obviously it's just a question of time, if they don't manage to win then it will be a problem for them but only halfway through the season.

Each time I see greenwood's progressive report I never forget blaming Manchester united for losing such a quality because of what a random wicked girl did to him. We know such is a condemnable offense but letting him go because of such useless claim is never what a team as Manchester united would have done for a player as good as he is when we all know that it is the responsibility of every team to offer supposed and backup of there staffs. As for a moving for a better future since merseille is not consistent and willing to go home with any trophy this season that PSG have decided to let it be that means a move out would be his best option

If Lens is not defeated by other teams then waiting for the time when Lens will be met with PSG, that is the answer and shows a conclusion who will get the victory, because the current point difference is only 1, one defeat is enough to catch up and can have 2 points ahead, but I think the French league 1 needs a new champion to refresh everything because PSG has been too long at the top of the standings every season.

What they are doing is really impressive. But once you sink into the inside of how they are top, it gets interesting. They have only scored significantly less than PSG (26 vs. 35) and their goal difference is eight greater, yet they lead. That tells you one thing: Lens are pushing every last drop out of tight matches whilst PSG sometimes even sleepwalk through games they should have murdered.

Lens is doing a very wonderful job with what they have, they’re doing what we expected Olympique du Marseilles and Lyon’s and the Lille’s to be doing making the league competitive throwing all they got at every match to get the three points. PSG has not been as ruthless as we would have thought, some shaky performances here and there but they’re still PSG that’s why they’re still at the top but if their up n down form continues then they might not be able to retain their title.

Lens are still doing pretty good in the league. That win against Nice was their 6th win in a row! And they have lost points only once for 10 weeks in the league... They are really acting like they are PSG now.  

PSG's team value is like 10 times Lens'. But here we are. Sometimes this kind of teams really surprise us. But until when? This is the actual question. Will they be in the title race until the end of the season?

I don't feel positive about them when it comes to the answer. Simply because of the quality gap...

Lens has performed very well so far, where they seem to be quite consistent in collecting points in several matches they have played. Lens also seems consistent in winning with 6 consecutive wins they have achieved recently. Lens' greatness has been proven when they competed against other strong teams such as Marseille or even Lille in the past few weeks. Lens is quite convincing when competing as an away team or even as a home team. I believe this is all thanks to the expertise of Pierre Sage as their coach. The players' adherence to Sage's tactics has also enabled them to navigate several matches with impressive performances. On the other hand Pierre Sage is said to be able to integrate the Lens players and even create a system that compensates for individual weaknesses. This allows them to maximize their strengths. I personally still believe in their performance in the upcoming matches. And they look solid with their current formation. But I would doubt their performance if some key players such as Odsonne Edouard, Said, or even Thauvin were injured as that would affect their performance.

I see a lot of similarities between this season and the 22/23 one. Lens were looking really good those times as well and they finished the season in 2nd place too. Marseille were right behind and Rennes - Lille were coming from behind.

The same teams are in top 6 currently. Probably once again Lens will fail in their aim to become the champions. Even though PSG are struggling more this season they still have many quality players to make it to the title anyway.

PSG lost the case in court and is now obligated to pay Mbappe 61 million Euros. Mbappe had demanded 263 million Euros. PSG, in response, filed a counterclaim seeking 440 million Euros in damages.
Mbappe transferred from PSG to Real Madrid without a transfer fee. PSG suffered a significant loss here. I don't understand how this case ended up this way. Mbappe caused significant financial damage to PSG. On top of that, he will receive a hefty compensation payment. This may not affect a wealthy club like PSG, but the outcome of this case doesn't make any sense to me.

This thing makes me laugh, Mbappe was forced to go through legal channels to solve his problems, i think he is right and that he was right to stick to his guns and take everything to court, PSG is a millionaire club and it is a joke that you pay everything there is to pay !

The important thing is that someone challenges Paris Saint-Germain, otherwise they risk winning Liga 1 again.
I too expected Marseille, who i consider the number 2 team, to give Paris Saint-Germain a bit of competition, i didn't expect Lens to put a bit of pressure on them.

Lens continued their winning streak this week after hosting Nice at home and defeating the visiting team with a score of 2-0. I only watched the highlights of their match and I was quite pleased with what Lens did in this match, especially from their striker, Odsonne Edouard, who scored two goals in his team's victory. His current statistics are quite impressive with 7 goals and 2 assists. I think he is a successful purchase from Lens this year.
Now perhaps PSG should be careful with what Lens does this season.

Lens entered the match in excellent form, while Nice were slumping after suffering back to back defeats, including a midweek European exit. It's no surprise then that the difference in form was immediately apparent from the opening minutes as Lens put on the pressure.

This win keeps Lens at the top of the table one point ahead of PSG. This makes the Ligue 1 race even more exciting, at least for now. Although a one point lead over PSG isn't a secure position, as PSG will easily reclaim the top spot. However Lens' ability to maintain their top spot for two consecutive weeks certainly boosts their confidence and will help them maintain their position in first place. Lens' next challenge will be against Toulouse a tough match that will undoubtedly motivate them to maintain their consistency.

Lens football team played very excellent against Nice football team because that team did goals in this match and we expected these goals by that team because goals were required to win this match because opponent team could not  do any goal in this match and their performance was very bad in this match. The shots of Nice football team were less in this match and these were only 8 and 4 shots were on target and possession percentage of that team was good in  this match which was 53 percent but opponent team tried to build pressure in this match and one man did 2 goals in this match,  Édouard did back to back goals in this match.That was the reason that team won the match easily at second goal.

Marseille are behind Lens and Paris Saint Germain by 4 and 5 points, that's a decent gap and will be a bit difficult to catch up. Need consistency in winning points and they also need defeats from the 2 teams above them to be able to reduce the distance first before they can shift.

Lens have been in good form so far, they were able to capitalize on the loss to Paris Saint Germain and finally get into first place. But as always, their enemy is themselves. Yes, sometimes they have to slip a few times so that they have to let their position be taken over by Paris Saint Germain.

Nice dropped to 13th place with this defeat. Lens, however, maintained their lead. Leading the league in France is never easy, and maintaining it is even harder. Lens will struggle to hold onto their lead here, because we're talking about a team like Paris Saint-Germain, one of the best teams in the world, and Lens is currently ahead of them. Perhaps this will be a motivation for Lens, and they will prepare better for their next matches.

The only thing I feel PSG .aye suffer if they get further loses in the coming games ahead will be that drop in their psychological strength due to the losses suffered.  PSG to me will still be able to get back inform and activate  the much they wish to achieve this season in the Ligue 1, they always does know their ways around dominance in this particular league so they can still come back and win the title possibly, do not get surprised if it happens, they are the kings of the Ligue 1.

The only credit that can be given to Lens is if they win the French Ligue 1 otherwise it will just be same story if PSG wins the league again. I just hope that Lens major players do not get injured if not it will be so easy for PSG to get back at the top because they have more solid substitutes than Lens. It's just a point gap so it's really scary for Lens since they know that any mistakes can make them lose the top to PSG. PSG have been dominant in the French Ligue 1 for too long, it's time for either Lens or Marseille to deny them the title this season. Just that Marseille is not showing enough consistency as Lens is showing so they might be ruled out of the title race soon.

I knew Lens would beat Nice so easily, but I was upset I couldn't bet on it because the Lens vs Nice match had already started before I placed my bet. Lens are just acting like people that want to shock the world and beat PSG in the French Ligue 1 title race. I don't know if Lens will remain in the title race until the end of the season, but let's just watch and see how the race for who will win the French Ligue 1 title this season unfolds.

Lens are really doing well this season, they've now managed to to take the first spot and you're right they giving the Leicester City vibes but until they managed to retain the spot for a long time and prevent PSG from taking the spot back. In this league it's difficult to win the title because in the end most of these teams challenging are not able to keep up, they lack the consistency to keep up till the end that's why they don't give PSG a tough time. No matter how good a team performs they always lose focus at the end and end up losing the title to PSG.
PSG performance has not been as it used to for a while now and we don't know what is happening with them but I still don't think Lens will win the title yet, the point difference is still very close and we still have a long time to go. You're right depth gets tested and most of these teams lack it and fail at the end.
