Everyone expected PSG to win the league at the end. Lens put up a very good fight, but despite the intense matches and hard-fought games, the French league is generally won by PSG. But I doubt if the  team can perform such a descent in the coming season. In ligue 1 we don't see other teams playing that well except psg. For example , Marseille and monaco, who finished second and third in  the table last season, are sixth and seventh in  the table this season.

PSG should be happy about what they are seeing right now and it is understandable that we are going to see the situation be a bit different on this league. PSG keeps winning not only because they are a good team, which they are of course, but mainly because there are no other good teams.

This is not success of PSG perse, of course they are a great team I am not taking anything away from their success but lets be realistic about it, there are not competition for them. How many times we have seen another team be second place back to back? They do not have even a Dortmund to their Bayern, so it's easy for PSG to win.

PSG certainly prepare well when they prepare so we think they have a target to win in the upcoming UEFA Champions League final. In fact, Arsenal, the Premier League's top giants, have not lost a single match in this UCL season yet but PSG have lost so I think Arsenal will be ahead in terms of confidence going into the final. However PSG already have a record of winning two titles this season and Arsenal only have the chance to set a record for winning the Premier League trophy but even then it will be a tough fight for them. All in all, we can say that the two teams are going to face a fiery test in the upcoming Champions League final.

On papers everyone has the right to predict his favorite team winning and how things will go in the final, but for real-time results, there always needs to be a game. Currently, both teams are preparing well for this, and it's not going to be easy for any team.

Arsenal is currently at its best, but PSG also has enough depth that this could be helpful for them. Stats and history could change because they're always changing. Until now, just Real Madrid is the team with the defending title and staying at the top. Now, can PSG change this? It's going to be a big achievement for the club, which won its first title just last year after years of waiting. Arsenal has never been at this point before now can they change history?

Injuries to several key players made it difficult for PSG to compete early in the season, but when their core players returned, they managed to retake the top spot from Lens. Even though Lens didn't make it to the title, at least they put some pressure on PSG. If they want to compete next season, hopefully Lens can recruit some other promising players so they can fight back to compete with PSG. Without good squad depth, it will be difficult for any team to break PSG's dominance, as this team has everything it takes to compete and dominate Ligue 1.

PSG did have difficulties when some of their players were injured but PSG performance did not completely decline PSG was still right below Lens even though for quite a long time, moreover PSG also maintained its performance in the Champions League so it was natural that at that time PSG could not stay at the top of the standings the most important thing was the final result where PSG could easily catch up on the points due to Lens experiencing a setback and finally PSG won League 1 again, I think as long as PSG still has quality players it will be difficult for other teams to overtake them.

Truth be told Lens actually disappointed me this season, at the beginning I was really rooting on them to win the French Ligue 1 title and they were actually doing just fine, because the Paris Saint Germain's attention was quite divided so they actually got the chance to win the league title, and they were topping the Ligue 1 with some good points but all of a sudden they lost it all now you want me to praise them over bottling a league they almost won, and don't be surprised you will see them struggling next season because we've seen it several times in this French Ligue 1 teams like they will come amazing this season and look like a piece of shit in the next season don't be surprised when it happens.

The fact is, no other team in Ligue 1 currently has the same financial power as PSG. If they had finances equal to PSG, I believe they could compete for the title as well. So it’s not really something embarrassing, there are simply too many differences that make it difficult for other teams to break PSG’s dominance.

Many other teams in the league are not ready to challenge PSG for the title race, and that is why they do not bother much about signing new quality players that can strengthen their teams. In fact, it is not only in the league but also in other competitions, especially in the Champions League, where it is always hard to see other teams from the French league go far.This makes me remember those seasons when Monaco were really doing better in the Champions League, alongside Marseille and Lyon. But in the last few seasons, even when they qualify, they hardly do anything special.

If the league continues this way and remains less competitive, the league will also start losing value. In fact, what currently gives the league value is PSG, who are always doing better in the Champions League. I just wish other teams’ mentality would change; otherwise, PSG will continue dominating Ligue 1.However, this season we witnessed a little challenge, and Lens tried their best, but they did not have that kind of quality players. I may as well be wrong but am of the opinion that these teams in the league1 has the zeal to want to compete but it's the financial willpower that is lacking among them all as it is with PSG where they have the biggest sponsor and only their market transfers in each season surpasses those of the first three best performing teams behind them.

Okay, let look at how much of a fight Lens gave in this season against PSG in contending for the top place in the title race but due to lack of quality players to the standard of PSG, which their funds can't meet up with, Lens couldn't take the fight for long before giving it up for PSG. Even the likes of Monaco, Lyon had big sponsors that was why they were having dominance in those days in the league and even in Europeans competitions but today the financial strength has weakened and they can't afford top class talents especially with how inflated players transfer fees has become currently.

It feels like everything is going downward to your expectations for now as Lyon are taking a nice beating from RC Lens, PSG are trying to hold there 1 goal advantage while Lile is trailing a goal down.

Honestly speaking, I knew Lens would be a major problem for Lyon but winning 4-0  against Lyon is wild and even playing away from home. And even Marseille who I though was falling behind, they are actually winning 3 goals ahead to nil.

Paris FC are the side with something to battle for and hence they're giving their best to make something good out of this game. As for PSG, they have a crucial game ahead in the UCL and that's why their utmost priority falls on. I was even expecting that PSG would be losing this game, a 1:1 scoreline doesn't speak well of Paris FC form at this junction of the league against a supposed second team of PSG.

Paris Saint-Germain lost that game against their neighbor and it wasn't a surprise. They don't have anything left in Ligue 1 to fight for. They were victorious before that round.
Lille defeat against Auxerre in the other hand helped them finishing 15th and it is up to Nice to play relegation play-offs against St-Etienne so they could stay in Ligue 1. Otherwise Nantes game against Toulouse was chaotic. The referee has to stop the game and hide along with everyone in the field because Nantes supporters invaded the field and threw things on them. Waiting to see the sanctions that they will receive because of that.

PSG are definitely a strong team, but it’s also true that the level of competition in Ligue 1 is not as intense as in some other top leagues. In many seasons, PSG already look like favorites before the league even starts because they have more money, bigger stars and a stronger squad than most teams. Take a good look at leagues like the Bundesliga where Borussia Dortmund still push FC Bayern Munich strongly in some seasons. In France, PSG rarely face that kind of consistent pressure, so winning the league becomes easier for them compared to clubs in more competitive leagues.
