By the way, if Mbappe had stayed at PSG and won the Champions League with them two seasons in a row, I think he could have become a hero at PSG. But he chose to leave for Real Madrid, and by the way, things haven’t been easy for Real Madrid over the past few seasons either, and it’s still unclear how the new season will turn out, although I think things should be much better. So in this case, Mbappe missed his chance to make history at PSG by winning the Champions League.

What about the Super Cup against Lens? It seems to me that PSG are clear favorites here, but the odds are still at 1.70 and haven’t dropped. Every season, the Champions League presents challenges beyond their respective domestic leagues, so every team will strive to improve their abilities in every match when the schedule becomes very congested. I also think, as you said last season, PSG were really able to manage their players very well to reach the Champions League final, and yes, they will probably do the same this season, although I'm not sure whether PSG will reach the Champions League final again.

Luis Enrique is an exceptional coach because he is the one that won the first Champions League title for PSG after he couldn't win it in his debut season. Meanwhile, he has now won 2 Champions league title for PSG, and has also won the French ligue for 3 consecutive seasons since he became the club's head coach in 2023. Such as successful coach he is because there are some coaches that has spent more than five seasons in a big team but they haven't won the Champions League, example is Mikel Arteta of Arsenal.

There are many strong teams who are competing for the Champions League title just as every other season, of course it won't be easy for PSG but we won't be surprised if Enrique wins it 3 consecutive seasons just like he did in the French ligue. Mbappe made a mistake by leaving PSG because he thought he will win the Champions league at Real Madrid but the club he left has now won the Champions League twice.

I have a little early prediction that I think could be considered a crazy one. I’m assuming that last season, Lens failed to win the title after PSG affected their mentality by having their match rescheduled in order to accommodate PSG’s pursuit of the UCL title. It did seem unfair, but perhaps everything would seem fair if PSG eventually handed the title to Lens.

What I said above is something that doesn’t really make sense, and it definitely shouldn’t be taken as a serious prediction. The actual prediction should be that the match will result in BTTS (yes), while we can’t really talk about who will win yet because we need to see the lineups that will be announced before the match starts. But honestly, for me, @1.7 is simply too good for a team that is almost guaranteed to win.

To me I think Luis Enrique is owning the Paris Saint Germain club anything anymore, he's won it all so he's got nothing to worry for, I'm not saying he shouldn't win it again, all I'm saying is he shouldn't over work himself anymore, it's fine if he wants to set same record as Zidane by winning the UEFA Champions League title three times in a row, that will be cool, but with the look of things, I don't think that will be possible because the title has got lots of eyes on it, and it will be quite difficult for him to achieve, so he shouldn't over work himself.

I think PSG was just tired for this franch super cup. They just finished their hard training plus played the uefa super cup i just think they didnt have time to recover. For me its wierd that they didnt score a goal and in the match most of the time they were up a player. Lens really holded out well and were able to close out the psg attack that is really good.

This is a typical scenario for minor cups - a big club can't prepare for this game separately because their main goal is the rest of the season, but for Lens this is a rare opportunity to win at least some kind of title, so they may have been preparing for a month just for this game and their motivation was at its maximum. Thank God the odds were extremely unattractive (1.6 before the game for a PSG win and 1.7 after the first half for a PSG win lol) and I decided to pass by.
The most unpleasant thing is that the games are emotionally exhausting (most of the game is in the majority, but the result is not achieved), but PSG has a lot of time to recover.

Congratulations to Lens for a well fought effort to win the trophee des Champions Cup. Even with a man down from the first half they were still able to hold on to their lead and win the match. They’ve done well to deny PSG this Cup, they just won the UEFA Super Cup they can console themselves with that.

Paris St Germain looked a little bit fatigued but this shouldn’t be a problem for a team like PSG they have the squad depth and it’s just two important games played.

I love that it’s Lens that won actually, atleast they have something to show for all their efforts from last season to now.

I don't follow Lens, nor do I know about the club's transfer activity, but for Lens to beat PSG in the Super Cup final, I think Lens still has a pretty strong squad to compete for the new season, and I like it. I want the league to be competitive.

Lens really tried, and they really deserved to win it, honestly. Despite the cup is not being worth that much, they will have something to show their fans.Last season, I was wishing they would end up winning the ligue 1 base on their efforts, but they were not lucky enough. It is not really nice seeing only PSG always winning every single competition and trophy in France every season.With this win that Lens have achieved, it really shows that Lens are also prepared for next season and probably are not going to make it easy in the Ligue 1 again, just as last season when they gave PSG a tough time. It really makes the competition more interesting.I just wish they can be at the same level of last season's form this season again because, this time around, they have many competitions to play, which can make some of their players exhausted before the season ends.

Cup games are always that difficult but, considering how they handled the Aston Villa game so well, this was supposed to be a walk in the park for PSG, Lens shouldn’t have offered much contest and to make matters worst, Lens had a red late into the first half, about 40 minutes in and one would expect PSG to find their way right back in but no, Lens were able to hold them down to the final whistle, that was disappointing.
PSG is one team that, coming back from behind could have being easy but, they just couldn’t work that out today and they lost.

Now we are about to witness PSG awful start of the season again. This has been their strategy for the last 2 season, where they will losing games both in their league and in the Champions league group stage. But when we reach the second half of the season, that's when we will begin to witness another version of PSG. Look at how they played with a lot of seriousness in the UEFA super cup against Aston Villa, but it got to the French super cup final , the same seriousness shown before wasn't available. They won this trophy multiple times, so losing won't be really painful to them, since one of their main goal is the European glory.

Lens have been wonderful since last season, they've achieve some fantastic results. They took the second place and qualified for the UEFA champions league, they won Coup de France and now the French super cup. They've over achieved and should be really proud of themselves.
