depending on what kind of cryptocurrency you want to store on these wallets and how much. The most reliable wallets for major cryptocurrencies are Trezor cold wallets. I use it. if you have any shitcoins, then for them only bad wallets

I think the safest cryptowallet are those offline wallets. You can have peace on it when you know that your funds are away from getting hack orbeing phished out because it is offline.
In online wallets I consider Myethereum wallet as good as well as metamask which another feature of myethereum wallet wherein it is secured. However, the best thing to do to secure wallet is to provide a two way factor in accessing wallets or funds. This is an added feature where one could manage to notify when someone had made an access to your wallet and wanted to transfer funds.

Most of the wallets online can be considered as safe wallet because they have some sort of security features that noone can obtain unless you give to someone, wallets have what you called, paraphrase, seeds or private keys that make them invulnerable to any kind of intrusion.

As long as you're the one holding the private key then it is one of the safest, OP. Avoid online wallets as much as possible unless you're using it to cash out to fiat money so that you can use to pay to the merchants not accepting Bitcoin.
Well that's right, as long as you are holding private key it's a good first line security, though it's still unsafe as there's still possibilities that hackers can breach it and emptied your balance. Desktop wallets are kinda safe if you're not that much of web explorer, but keep in mind that even the webcams of desktops get hacked so I suggest you'll use it when it's the only thing or option you have.
Desktop wallet with private keys is far more safer as you can build more security for your assets, you can add additional feature to prevent hackers to penetrate to your balance.

You can use any wallet from other members' recommendations, but that will depend on how you can save your asset safely. But I recommend you to buy ledger or trezor, and you must save it in the place that only you will know. If you have the best wallet, but you don't know how to treat the wallet, then there is a chance your wallet be stolen by other people, especially with people or someone that visit your home coincidentally.

I use trust wallet and coinomi wallet because they give users their recovery seed and the wallets interface are attractive too, the best or safest crypto wallet is paper wallet and hardware wallet but mobile wallets aren't bad either

As long as you can keep your private key safe, I believe you will always be safe in this market. Currently the wallets do a great job of security and no one can attack them. I also use Coinbase and it's extremely safe and convenient

The safest cryptocurrency wallet is hard wallet, no doubt. But hard wallet is not free, you need to buy it. We can use some less secure wallet than hard wallet such as mobile wallet, for example electrum, or pc wallet but you need big space for blockchain database.

I think if you want to use a hardware wallet, you should choose a wallet like Trezor or Ledger Nano S because this is the safest choice for investors when participating in this market. In addition, you can also use some wallets that are being used by a lot of people such as Trust Wallet, Guarda, Coinbase Wallet because these are the 3 most commonly used wallets in this market. Of course, there will be security risks, but losing money will be very unlikely.

The problem on holding your private key was you can actually be hacked once your computer was infected by virus or you paste your private to a fake/rigged wallet app which is the common scenario why people become a victim of hackers. I believe the safest wallet depends on people preferences or perspective. >Offline wallet for user with advance knowledge about computer security. >Hardware wallet for user who have a good security in the house against theft >Online wallet for user that using crypto for hobby only such as payment for low amount. I recommend laminated paper wallet for people who wants to save there life time savings. No one will gonna interest on it even theft for as long as you will change it’s appearance that it will looks like a paper only. I remember 1 item of @Ognasty called bitpic which is a portrait with sealed private key on it. That is a cool idea because will gonna suspect that you are hiding huge amount of money there and there’s no way theft will be interested on stealing picture frame.

Cryptocurrencies can be kept online or offline. If the cryptos are kept on the exchange platforms or other online platforms, it can be lost due to hacks.
So it is important to choose the best wallets that are safe and secure. Please help me in choosing the safest cryptocurrency wallets
If you only want to store Crypto, then you should choose an offline wallet like Ledger or Trezor, but if you want to do daily trading with your Crypto, So choose a large exchange like Binance, because they are very responsible if something happens to your assets there.

If you think an offline wallet will give you more security then I don't think that's fully true. Unwanted events can happen anytime. Your paper can be lost. So it's actually up to you. If you are careful enough then your wallet will be safe. But hardware can provide the best security and it has very little chance to be hacked. So whatever wallet you choose you need to be more careful first.
Indeed, hardware wallets provide us a better security than other wallets, because we ourselves control the private key, not the Exchanger or application provider. I also using Trezor for a long time and I am very comfortable with it. But I also keep a little my assets on the Exchange, as my day trading.

Security must always prepare itself. It can be done in different ways. But I think any exchange and any private wallet is open.In that case you have to give yourself security.Such as 2FA and Personal Protection Password and Secret Key, these should be very secure. In the case of Etherium, security can be ensured by using meta masks.

It all depends on what type of wallet you need. 1. Hardware Wallet is the safest you can go with Trezor wallet or Ledger wallet. 2. Mobile wallets: Enjin wallet and Trust wallet are one the safest IMO. 3. Web wallet: Right now I am using MATH wallet as my web wallet simply because it's really easy to use and has loads of chain integrated. 4. Desktop Wallet

Stay away from any web wallets, they work by asking users their username and password, that's all you are going to ask for to log into your wallet, meaning no Private keys or Mnemonic seed, this are wallets everyone should stay away from

The safety depends largely on how you use the wallet. Any form of wallet that has no control to your private keys are safer from third party risks. Paper wallet maybe safe from third parties but keeping the paper safe and keeping privacy during printing and claiming your coins back would have a degree of risks. Similar are the risks with hardware wallets. Online wallets can be safer for a person who uses the coins often as they have multiple verification system but your funds would be at the mercy of third party.
Very nice points here, both hardware wallets and software wallets have their own pros and cons, there is risk attached to both. For long term hold of coins, hardware wallet will be better since they are more secure. Online wallets on the other hand needs typing or copy/paste of private keys, and people get hacked if there is a Spyware installed to steal funds. This is the more reason why anyone using online wallets should never use third party keyboards, since some are developed by scammers and they get access to anything copied to clipboard.

I've seen users get into details on fact that funds are not held in wallet, but in blockchain, so I won't go into that. Imo the safest wallet is paper wallet, because its physically has no access to online. If we're talking about hot wallets - the most important things are being able to know your private keys, seed phrase, preferably use ios over android as its probably more secured

I think both paper wallets and hardware wallets are good. Trezor and Ledger have been very helpful in securing our assets. I'm a Trezor user and it's very comfortable for me. Paper wallets may not last long, If you don't take care it properly.
