Well are you surprised? It's no new thing that this club obviously needs an extraordinary force to actually move them back to their winning and former standard. Darwin Nunez disappointed me again today - he missed a great opportunity to add to his goals record this season. Of course - Darwin has scored 7 goals and 6 assists so far, but that doesn't compare to expectations. He has great potential to become one of the most dangerous strikers - but the way he takes advantage of every chance is not yet a match for some of the other top strikers like Haaland.

2-0 ahead of Chelsea at the moment is certainly fine - but Chelsea are also dangerous with all their players' abilities. I hope Klopp can instruct his players to finish the match with a clean sheet - that would be a good record for Liverpool.

I would have liked to see Chelsea as a dangerous team but, from the play they’ve had so far, they could be said to be anything but dangerous. What I see is just a team with complete lack of confidence. In the first half, the whole game was played in there halve of the pitch and when you come to the second half, they found a bit of energy to go forward but, still a team in disarray.
The one player that seems to be getting his steps just right remains Chelsea. He might just be the best player for Chelsea in recent times.
It’s 3 goals now, Liverpool still leading and Chelsea aren’t looking like a team that could manage a consolation goal in today’s match day live. I’ll like to see Palmer on the scoresheet but, his being more of a defensive midfielder today for my liking.

The first half of the English Premier League game between Liverpool and Chelsea is over and Liverpool have convincingly been the best team on the pitch tonight and I don't think the visitors have a chance of coming back into this game. Diogo Jota have simply been the best player on the pitch as he was the one who opened the scoreline after his energetic run into the 18 yard box of Chelsea.

Liverpool would have been three goals up before halftime if Darwin Nunez have converted from the spot but he failed to score after sending the goalkeeper the wrong way. It's a very entertaining match for Liverpool fans in the stands and hopefully, they're gonna get all three points from the game.

The score is 2-0 in favor of Liverpool, where I am sure Liverpool will easily lock in victory in this match. If you look at liverpool game, their game was quite impressive in the first half because they were able to record many attacks which made Chelsea defense very chaotic in repelling the pressure put on by liverpool in the first half. With this advantage, I think Liverpool will be able to play more efficiently in controlling their balance to maintain their lead until the end of the match.

For Chelsea, it seems like it will be quite difficult to equalize in this match because Liverpool are so strong when playing at Anfield. For this reason, if liverpool succeeds in securing 3 points in this match, they will be quite comfortable at the top of the standings because they will be able to finish their 22nd match by winning 3 points. For Manchester city, they are also in a pretty good line after successfully beating Burnley, where Manchester City continues to stick closely to liverpool, who are at the top of the standing.

Despite the fact the Darwin Nunez was unable to convert a penalty kick which is supposed to place the Liverpool side at the invincible mood. Liverpool had enjoyed consistency throughout the first half as against the unstable Chelsea side. Chelsea which has been playing as if they have began to return to the good old days is unlucky to meet the side whose coach wants to give an English premier League title before leaving the club at the end of the season.

The first half is 2 goals to nil against Chelsea and I am not sure that the result will change in favour of Chelsea in this second half.

Chelsea's performance in this game is on the poor side, I wasn't expecting the goal margin to have reached 4 goals, the referee in my opinion has not been fair to Chelsea's side, and secondly the tackle on Nkunku in the eighteen yard box should have been reviewed by the var men and a penalty should have been awarded to Chelsea, but the central referee overlooked the whole situation, despite that Chelsea is having a poor performance in this game.

I will be more interested to see the match between Liverpool vs Chelsea this because Liverpool seems hard to beat Chelsea and just like i said before the meeting statistics from them also looks interesting because from 5 meetings they got 5 draw and 4 from those matches was ended with final score 0-0 so although Chelsea performance was decline this season but i still considers them as strong rival for Liverpool so in my opinion this match will be so tight even some people has been predict about the outcomes of this match and possibly both teams will playing draw again

Klopp have several options for Liverpool squad now because some of their key players are return from the injured so even without Mo Salah i think Liverpool can able to performing well and for Chelsea Christopher Nkunku will be into their squad and Nicolas Jackson also has just return to Chelsea after his country Senegal eliminate from Africa Cup and according to the odds i can see Liverpool is the favourite but i don't think Chelsea will be easilly to beated because just like i said before Chelsea is strong opponent for Liverpool and for safe bets i think both teams to scores is good pick

Well Liverpool are currently leading and they're very serious this season, their previous meetings might have not been favorable to them but they're not taking chances lately cause any mistake would make them drop points and allow City who got an  outstanding match to overtake them from the very top of the standings, well Chelsea is no match for this current inform Liverpool squad that's aiming to win the title from Pep Guardiola's City.

 City show their class today against Burnley with a 3-1 victory, well it was expected before the match, cause Burnley are no match for them, talk more of defeating them at their home ground. When the match started and it was a few minutes, I thought it was exciting. But once Liverpool started scoring, I became a bit disappointed because I expected the game to be challenging. I thought both teams would find it hard to score goals. Unfortunately, that didn't happen, and I realized my early predictions were wrong, especially when Liverpool seize the midfield against Chelsea.

The interesting part was in the first half, where Chelsea players received about four yellow cards. This indicated that the pressure was getting to them, affecting their performance. As the match is about to end now, Liverpool is leading 4-1. Based on this score, I would say that Chelsea didn't play their best today, and Liverpool performed better.

Yeah Chelsea goalkeeper is always fund of doing that without knowing that Liverpool player will utilize the opportunity, however this match between Liverpool and Chelsea is one of the most interesting match today and perhaps no body would have believed that Liverpool will perform this good on this match because irrespective of the Chelsea poor performance they never joke with any of there match between Liverpool and Manchester City but I was surprised to see how Liverpool is turning them upside down on this match and one the things I noticed about Chelsea on this match is that they  are playing with pressure that's why they are not able to maintain the ball for a minutes without being intercepted by the Liverpool player.

Actually losing this match has seriously affected there chances of going up on there league table because if they had win this match they would have really go far on the table considering the fact that Manchester United, Brighton and Newcastle United has the same point which is 32 while Chelsea has 31 so if they had won the match they would have move from the 10 position they are to the 7 position by beating the three clubs with 44 points but it was quite unfortunate that there performance was not good enough so they had to miss the opportunity.

Of course, it's not right to have a definite opinion about the result of this match because both teams are well established in the Premier League and it will be a difficult match for both teams, but I think Liverpool are better than Chelsea. Also, this will be Jurgen Klopp's last year at Liverpool. I'm sure they will do everything to crown this season with the title.

I agree that Liverpool has the better squad and game play. I and many others see that Chelsea's buying spree hasnt equaled Liverpool's. Compared to Chelsea, the Reds' winning record shows they can finish games. Chelsea shouldnt be underestimated. Talent might surprise us on their day.

However, in Jurgen Klopp's final year, Liverpool is driven by more than talent - an emotional need to finish well. I think Liverpool's cohesiveness and clever play give them an edge against Chelsea, who spent big. The emotional impact of Klopp's previous season makes me lean firmly toward Liverpool winning. Let's see the end of this match with a few minutes remaining and can liverpool score another goal because they are so comfortable in attacking in this match.

There was never a chance for Burnley tonight against the champions, i expected City to score at least five goals and not concede any, so "credit" to Burnley for keeping the scoreline respectfully at 3-1.

City are so good at chasing down teams that are on the summit, and that is what they are going to do this season, and i think they have now started their winning run, though we have to see how long it lasts. Liverpool must be consistent, when City are just a few points behind you, then you cannot afford a slip up, or else they will claim top spot and might likely not lose it until the end.

Did anyone notice that Badshille slow pace and action is the major cause of major goals Chelsea concert this night, including the penalty. Nkunku manager to change the tone of the  game with his swift delivery and Badshille slow page saw Luis Diaz come from behind and outrun him leading to the 4th goal of the game. Luis Diaz clearly knows that he's not fast and he maximizes that opportunity always to beat him with speed.

Darwin Nunez has been exceptional in today's match  he's my MVP, although he didn't score, but his impact in Liverpool's attack is masterclass. He's seeming a better replacement to MO Salah.

Liverpool didn't show the ball to Chelsea in the first half. Chelsea could only manage one shot. Liverpool, on the other hand, literally bombarded the Chelsea goal, they took 15 shots and scored 2 goals. They finished the job in the first half. Chelsea need to play with a very different mentality in the second half to be part of the match. If they score a goal, maybe there will be resistance, but if they concede the 3rd goal, they will completely disperse. The game in the first half was quite negative for them. Liverpool were exceptional in this match and there’s no doubt they’re the team on the top spot and they need to maintain their position there on how ruthlessly they defeated Chelsea tonight. Chelsea last three wins didn’t speak well for them as Liverpool was already more powerful than them and more tactical throughout the game. Chelsea still needs to go back to the drawing board and not allow this lose to weaken them as they still have more games to play and can still make it to the top four of the competition. Good game by Liverpool and they deserved the goals today and the wins.

It is shaping up, but my secret favorite really lost ground in the last few weeks as they could only get a mere five points out of their last five games. It is not looking good for them and with secret favorite I didn't want to say that I put them as my secret number 1, but I thought they would be around at the top if they continue winning their home games, but this came to an end when they tied the game against Sheffield at home, which was a disaster, and now they had this big loss against Newcastle. But their sorrow is Newcastle's joy for a good reason as they can now at least see Tottenham again from far away.

I see your secret team here is Aston Villa, to clear this what most mid table teams actually do in the second half of the season, they get carried away by their performances and then later they start dropping points mostly to the teams you least expected if to be. This game against Newcastle I seriously wasn’t expecting Aston Villa to just win because Newcastle players are beginning to come back from injury am they are looking more like a team of last season at least for the time been. A lose at Villa Park was almost something rare for Aston Villa under Emery management, a record which spans to almost last season and Newcastle have broken it. Right now Aston Villa need to rally back because dropping points back to back is a very bad for a top 4 contender.

I kinda ignored the fact that players are coming back from injury for Newcastle United and you correctly pointed that out. But I still thought that Aston Villa has been playing so well in their home stadium that I never saw this defeat coming. Or maybe a defeat was possible, but like this?

Before this game Aston Villa had 9 wins and 1 draw and Newcastle was doing horribly away from home as they could only win 1 game so far. But this is football and it is good the way it is! Who doesn't like to be in for a good surprise.

Going through history Chelsea has more often than not had a good result playing at anfied particularly in the days of Eden hazard and that that's why it's so shocking to see this current Chelsea team under Pochettino playing with no tactics and below standard, weak defence  and a midfield that is never improving on daily basis. Liverpool dominated the whole time of the game from start to finish and deserve the winning margin they got at 4:1.

But thats whats interesting because with some of the results that i think are unexpected such as the results of Brighton and Aston Villa this week prove that the EPL is not an easy place and once they get it wrong and determine the strategy in a match then it will definitely be very bad for the performance.
This week there were some unexpected and unexpected events that i didnt expect because it did interfere with the bet i made but the positive side is that this is a competition that cannot be predicted by looking at performance alone because in the end it can trap ourselve in the gambling that we do, So weve to be more selective and careful not to be fixated on the odds in the match because event like this can possibly happen at any time.

Absolutely! It is without a doubt the reason why from a fan perspective, the Premier League is the best league in the world because it is unpredictable for most of the games. Now part of the truth is that Manchester City has become increasingly dominant in the last few years and they win the title most of the time, which is kind of boring, but there is still a lot of competition as some of the titles were very close especially when they had been competing with Liverpool. I expect the same for this season.

But at least there is still no team that's winning most of the games 3-0 and it never looks as if there is a chance for anyone else to realistically go for the title. In the Premier League you got some six or seven top teams and then lots of teams that are still strong.

A great victory for Liverpool tonight as they were able to gain all three points from the weak Chelsea, who thought that because they have won three consecutive games, they will be able to make Liverpool drop point, but it ended up been the opposite. Tonight I saw Liverpool having the zeal to win the title this season as they dealt with Chelsea scoring two goals both in the first half and in the second half. The second leg was a mess for Chelsea because they were able to draw Liverpool in Stamford Bridge. Diaz was able to find the back of the net after much effort which he put into the game.

They have done it twice against Liverpool IIRC and also did it again last season against Arsenal, winning the PL title after Arsenal held top spot for over 70% of the season. This is Klopp's last season in charge of Liverpool and he and his team are in a really good position to win the PL as a farewell gift to wrap up his Liverpool career. This is why I was weary when I saw the Liverpool vs Chelsea & Arsenal in back to back games because Liverpool might lose points in any of those games. Such a slip up is enough for city to take the #1 spot on the table.

Well, we just aced past Chelsea and hopefully another win against Arsenal on Sunday. Worth noting that city has an outstanding match in February, should they win it, it'd be just 2 points apart based on current table standings.

Liverpool didn't show the ball to Chelsea in the first half. Chelsea could only manage one shot. Liverpool, on the other hand, literally bombarded the Chelsea goal, they took 15 shots and scored 2 goals. They finished the job in the first half. Chelsea need to play with a very different mentality in the second half to be part of the match. If they score a goal, maybe there will be resistance, but if they concede the 3rd goal, they will completely disperse. The game in the first half was quite negative for them. Liverpool will take 3 points from this match and maintain their comfortable position at the top.

When Chelsea scored one goal after conceding three goals to Liverpool, the game changed for a while but that didn’t last long before Liverpool added another goal and it end up demoralizing them the more. Liverpool were exceptional in this match and there’s no doubt they’re the team on the top spot and they need to maintain their position there on how ruthlessly they defeated Chelsea tonight. Chelsea last three wins didn’t speak well for them as Liverpool was already more powerful than them and more tactical throughout the game. Chelsea still needs to go back to the drawing board and not allow this lose to weaken them as they still have more games to play and can still make it to the top four of the competition. Good game by Liverpool and they deserved the goals today and the wins.

Of a truth, when Christopher Nkunku scored Chelsea's first and only goal of the match, the tempo of the changed and a lot of people where already thinking that the London club might do a comeback in the game but I wasn't one of the people who thought so. Liverpool controlled the first half of the game and considering the quality of players in each of the teams, it was clear that Liverpool had a better squad and that's why I didn't give Chelsea a chance to come back. The defeat I think ends Chelsea's hope pf finishing in the top five at the end of the season if you ask me
