Barely 5 weeks to the end of the season, Arsenal should have done better, particularly as they want to rewrite the history and the bad narration about the top EPL club. And for the fact that we still have 5 weeks and some days to the end of the league, anything could still happen as I don't trust Arsenal that much. Any attempt for them to lose one more match is detrimental to their quest of lifting the cup this season.

I don't think Aston Villa need to be in a rush to catch a team above them, they just need to be consistent enough for the rest of the season and focus more on the work at hand for now. Because for Aston Villa it is a good achievement to be closer to some of the top teams in the standings and it is not easy what other teams can do. But what is clear is that the two teams under Brighton and Liverpool are ready to threaten Aston Villa's position, if they fail to win this week and that is definitely not what Unai Emery wants.

You are right, both teams are in a green state to be the team with the best condition at the moment besides Manchester City and Arsenal. Certainly not many would have thought that Unai Emery could make such a big difference to Aston Villa, but he is indeed an experienced coach despite not having much success at Arsenal. Though the chances of Aston Villa qualification for Europa league might not be realistic because Tottenham is rallying for top 4 spot if they can't clinch it they will definitely qualify for Europa league, however if they finish well in the league they might qualify for Europa Conference League because Man Utd the winner of Carabao Cup automatically qualify for the conference League with the look of things Man Utd will qualify for UCL thus drop that qualification spot for Aston Villa provided that the club finish the league in a better position.

I totally agree with you on this unai emery has always proven to be a coach on a look for he has proven to leave greats marks and result with the available players in his disposal. During his time at sevila coach, he was able to win an unprecedented three consecutive Europa league for sevila and letter coach Paris saint German were he also won ligue 1 tittle and two cop a de France for PSG  I think he trying to build same team for Aston villa I see them win the match.
