A veey disappointing result from Chelsea FC. After the midweek defeat in the champions league at Santiago Bernabeu, I thought they would win today's game to give their fans something to cheer up. Being beaten at the Stanford Bridge by Brighton is a wake up call that Frank Lampard is not the man for the job. How can a team with so much talents display such an abysmal performance? How can Chelsea make only 2 shots on goal against Brighton's 10 shots on goal while playing at home? How has the mighty fallen!

I don't understand what Chelsea officials are doing. When the team slumped in the Potter era they seemed to have absolutely no initiative to fix it. Supposedly if there are no more targets to be achieved let alone the team managed by Saltor. But their decision to appoint Lampard as coach was even more wrong and made the team's condition even more chaotic. In the hands of Lampard, Chelsea have suffered three defeats. I'm sure the Blues will find it very difficult to win if the team's conditions don't change. If you look at the remaining matches, then Chelsea has the potential to sink further.

Just as i said earlier before graham potter departure from Chelsea, the crisis rocking Chelsea is not that of coach or player but rhe managment of the club the problem because there don't excise patience to allow the club to build to recover and if you sack a coach and employ a new one, you should also be ready to give a long time for the coach to get used to the players and vis visa.

Manchester city have truly dominated the match, it will be a comfortable win for city against Leicester, that means the gap on the league table has been closed with three points, Gardiola used the same starting line up he used in the UEFA champions League against Bayern Munich, Which is extremely difficult for Leicester at their current level to bear. I think it's a team problem, the mentality of the team is down and they need a fierce coach to make some drastic decisions. It could be dropping of all first team players and playing second team players to send a message to the team that no one is a gauranteed starter. It could also be bringing in players from the feeders team, but I don't see that kind of personality in Frank Lampard. The season is over for Chelsea in regards to their pursuit for european football, the management should be on the look out for a new manager.

I really liked Aston Villa today, I never cease to admire the work that Emery has done in the team. Another interesting fact is that after Emery joined the team, Aston Villa scored in all official games. Well, now the team is in great shape, they have risen from the bottom of the standings and now have a good chance to compete with Tottenham for a place in the EL.

I think City could win the UCL if they keep this up, that is not known neither but they are having a marvelous season and I can see that happening, that is not really a shocking result. However, if we are talking about just the league? I feel like that may not happen that easily, it looks like we may end up with something much worse there.

I think it should be remembered that we are talking about a team that is barely getting closer, Arsenal has been the leader for a long time and even though they did had some draws and loses, City failed to capitalize on that. Frank Lampard shouldn't be coaching Chelsea. I don't think the players have forgotten how to play, they need a good coach to put them in the right position to excel. On the other hand, I think Chelsea's problem is that Kepa has consistently conceded the most goals from outside the box both last season and this season, which indicates potential weaknesses in his game.

Obviously the manager is giving players clear instructions to take shots from outside the box against him, as he may struggle to stop those shots. after winning 3 goals in the first half, Man City weren't too insistent in the second half and I think they lowered the tension of the game a little because they avoided unwanted things and this 3-1 win was quite natural in my opinion.

Chelsea made very good transfers but could not find harmony within the team. I think they still don't have a clear game formation. Today's results were quite unexpected for Spurs and very surprising for Newcastle. I didn't think that Newcastle will lose by 3 goals to 0 vs Aston Villa. Spurs and Chelsea in the other hand were leading for a while before seeing the table reversed on them. Spurs 2 - 3 Bournemouth and Chelsea 1 - 2 Brighton. I am not surprised with Chelsea result since they aren't that good this season while Brighton is doing fine overall. The problem is with Spurs facing a weaker team..
