This is new Prediction thread for Premier League. Old one has grown quite big and OP has not been active for more than 3 years. I believe the best league in the world deserves an up to date thread so here is my attempt to provide one for you guys.

Well I don't support any specific team really, I just watch the matches for fun and try to predict the final score and the winner. I tend to like a little Manchester clubs then Liverpool maybe. For the 2020/21 season, I think City will get it

as always, I will continue to support my beloved blue team Chelsea. I was very happy when I heard the news that this time Chelsea would have 3 new players, that is Havertz, Ben, and T Silva. wait for the surprise from the blue team.

Early thread for EPL as first round starts in 19 days, but it will be good for following news and transfers.
I think defending champion Liverpool is still the best team, but I always like to support underdog teams, and I hope Leicester City learned something from previous season.

I will start by adding my favorite club/s:

@Trofo - Man Utd will always be my favorite one and I have the original jersey from the Man Utd - Bayern Munich Champions league final received as a gift on the same night after the match during celebration of the victory

I like some other clubs in premiership like Wolves, my favorite team to manage since Championship manager '96 if I remember correctly. Also I love when clubs in which Croatian players or coaches play/train win. This year I will support Leeds too, because m favorite coach is Bielsa - El Loco.


My favorites to win the title for this season will be Chelsea. Frank Lampard looks rock solid as a coach to me, very focused and no nonsense type. Team has a lot of potential and I believe they could be the surprise this year.

It's going to be Liverpool vs. City battling for the title for the nth time while the rest is for 3rd and 4th.

Impressive achievement for the Wolves last season buy I don't think they'll have a repeat of that success. They can still dream though and be like Leicester.

I'm not updated with what's happening with Chelsea club. Are they allowed to bring in new players now?

This is new Prediction thread for Premier League. Old one has grown quite big and OP has not been active for more than 3 years. I believe the best league in the world deserves an up to date thread so here is my attempt to provide one for you guys. This Premier League season will start on 12th September 2020 and will finish on 23rd May 2021 if Covid allows for normal schedule.

Favorites for the league title are the usual culprits and I have added them all to the above pool. I am very much looking forward to see what will Leeds and Bielsa manage to do this season.

Actually, I like La-Liga. I'm a diehard fan of Barcelona. But I don't miss EPL's match. Because these are entertaining me much. If anyone tell me to choose a team from English premier league. I would choose Manchester City. Though this is not the recent champion but this team is more stable. they can give us some entertaining and aggressive game play. Man-city was the best scorer in last season. I hope next season they will able to beat Liverpool and become the champion.

They are allowed to bring new players and I think they had a very good transfer window this season and it isn't finished yet. They have already confirmed deals with Timo Werner (Leipzig) and Hakim Ziyech (Ajax). Two great players which will get into first team immediately.

They are still missing some defensive power but they are close to finish the deals with Chilwell (Leicster) and Thiago Silva (PSG). Another 2 great signings if you ask me.

And they are also gunning for Kai Havertz. If they finalize all this transfers they will have a very good squad capable of doing the problems even to City and LFC. Only problem is that they could start a bit slow with that much new players.

I think if Chelsea finish all these transfers it will be a really big upgrade for the team which has not been doing very well these last couple of years.I hope they bring even more good players and this is directly translated into more competition for the Premier League and we really need that.

The favorite team this season is Manchester City and Liverpool. Maybe the title of the season that will start will be fought over by the two teams.

But I believe in Manchester City if they can bring Lionel Messi to Manchester because there are many rumors that Leonel Messi wants to leave Barcelona after yesterday's bad failure from Bayern Munchen will this news happen? 

Quite curious after all that happened after the transfer season closed.

I voted how to win Manchester city, in my opinion this year it will be a title fight between Man city and liverpool, I don't follow the premier much but the guardiola will definitely want to make up for it this year, there is also chelsea to keep an eye on, which apparently is planning a respectable purchasing campaign

I think it’ll be another fight between Liverpool & Man City. Maybe Chelsea could enter the race but they’re going to need a new GK I think because it’s very rare to win the title without a top class GK.

My heart says that my boys LFC will win the title but I think we need cover for Firmino, Salah, Mane. If one of those 3 gets injured then the drop off in quality to Origi is too big. Then again I suppose Jesus is nowhere as good as Aguero.

We’ll see but it’s going to be an interesting fight.

Although I'm a Liverpool fan and we had a dream season, City still has to be considered as a favorite on paper. Chelsea is adding great players but it has to be seen how it will click. United had a great end to the season so that completes my list of teams I think will take all the CL spots.

Can we try and make this thread better than the old one also by helping to ignore and report the users who do not post anything of value (like some copy paste and some even just made up total nonsense). 2 things happen,,, Either they improve (like I have seen some improve already) or they get banned.

Both are better for us.

I’m happy to play a big role in this thread, unless LFC have a really terrible season and I have to avoid all football related stuff to curb my depression about it (see Brendan Rodgers 2014/15 season)

I think Manchester City will still become the champion. After the failure, they are likely to be quite active again in the transfer market and will be more balanced along the lines this season.

Even though it's too early to start making predictions, my money is still on liverpool winning the premier league once again, Its no surprise that they're one of (if not) the best team in europe and the moment. Yes, I'm a liverpool fan so my opinion / prediction is a little more bias. Manchester City and Chelsea would be  big contenders considering they  have been adding more players to their squad since the transfer window open.

Damn, I again forgot to make this a self moderated thread. I really don't like the idea of moderating people but that could have been enough to steer shit posters away from the topic. Especially after I delete a few total nonsense posts just before their campaign counts them

No matter, I like your idea and will do my part to report those posts. I need to work on my reports a bit anyway.

First of all I thank @Trofo for the initiative to create a new thread for the 20/21 season.
I hope this new season there will be meaningful competition for EPL, not just Liverpool and Manchester city. Too boring if only 2 clubs compete. even though the other teams are so amazing and have the best players. But if this season Liverpool win again, I'm still happy.
