In general, it's amazing what the outsiders are doing to last season's league standings leaders... First Manchester United, today Chelsea and West Ham... Even Liverpool haven't managed to win a single game yet... Perhaps of all the other leagues, the EPL has proved to be the most unpredictable this season...

Thats English football for us, it has always been unpredictable and the most interesting part is the way newly promoted teams play. Its hard to tell if their are big teams in the Premier league at all, not long after Chelsea was defeated Manchester City also struggled to pick up a point against Newcastle utd. Its going to be a long and interesting season.

Manchester City also took the lead, but suddenly Newcastle played such a game that they took a 3-1 lead against Manchester City. If they had played to keep the score, City would have given more deficit and even the 4th goal could have come, but it didn't happen. Manchester City caught the draw and the match ended in a 3-3 draw. I think this year will be a very interesting and exciting season.

I really do not like to see owners who has billions of dollars (and in questionable ways) to take over teams that had a century long history and then turn the teams into a machine... But seriously the results are insane. Both City and Newcastle gets their money from the filthy rich super wealthy owners and we just watched an amazing and unbelievable game thanks to that much money going into this game. We are talking like maybe 1.5 billion or so right? Thats just insane to think that we just watched two teams worth that much, almost all the leagues in the worth do not worth that much aside from only a few leagues.

Leeds were very impressive against Chelsea, the way they moved with the ball, attacked together, defended together was very impressive and I believe Chelsea didn't expect Leeds will be so strong. I also placed a bet that Chelsea will win the game by 2 goals but it turned out the opposite way and Leeds won the game by 3 goals.

The last time Leeds won Chelsea was around 2002.
It’s clear that without Kovacic and Kante, Chelsea currently has no midfielder. And its more clearly they don’t have a goal scorer.
In order of priority, they need Aubameyang, another forward, a midfielder and a defender; then get rid of Ziyech, Pulisic, and if possible Jorginho.
Tuchel did a big mistake in today's game, playing players out of their best position is ridiculous, and this pattern of his is not working and as a good coach that he is I expect him to change it.

In this case I might appreciate the performance of Saint-maximin on the side of the Newcastle winger who indeed in the 2 goals they scored could not be separated from the movement of this player, on the other hand Pope also conceded 3 goals I think his game was very good in this match because there are so many opportunities that are almost a goal he can thwart.
Actually City performed very well but indeed Newcastle also played without a burden in front of their supporters which made them confident and could take the lead even though in the second half they made a lot of mistakes.

Hehe it's just the way business goes. The fans wanted a change since Newcastle was a shitty team few seasons back and here comes businessmen who saw an opportunity. They are probably a couple of seasons away from becoming a serious title contender.

Many of the big teams that we know today aside from those two you mentioned were also nobodies before huge money was injected into the club.

Everyone is disappointed with Chelsea. It is shame that Leeds United can beat them with 3 scores, while Chelsea cannot score any goal at all. Chelsea actually dominated the ball possessions, but they are not effective in scoring. There are 14 shot attempts, 3 on target, but no goals. I think Chelsea players need to sharpen their ability in finishing or learn more about how to score. If no changes in Chelsea performance, they may not finish in the top 5 at the end of the season. Anyway, regarding Man City performance, they were dominating the match, made more shot attempts and take 70% of ball possessions. They seem good in attacking and midfield line, but they are weak in defense line. Man City need to strengthen their defenders if they want to be the winner this season.

Was Chelsea against Lead City something to be disappointed about? I don't think so, that is the joy of watching football, small team do take down big guys. Statictically and the manner in which Chelsea played was very great against Lead city but they under estimated them because if look closely, those guys didn't come to to do skills, they were there to score goal and did beautifully.
This is a lesson for other top teams in England to be prepare any time when they have match with teams that are underrated, that was how Man United poorly played against Brentford and they received the second shock this season.

I think Manchester City had same issue as Chelsea. After getting a goal in the first 5mins of the first half they felt it was a walk over match and went to relax but to their surprise Newcastle United were so determined and didn't lose focus and pushed harder and got three goals. Haaland looked locked out in the first half but his performance in the second half was different and much better and he was able to get a goal and Man city got away with a draw. They should learn from this game and improve their weak points.

You're right about that, that they haven't found an opponent that really threatens them. But the game they show is capital for them when dealing with opponents who are stronger than them. That way the opponent will definitely be more careful when they have to face Arsenal. And when compared to other clubs, I see Arsenal can still be said to be better, because other clubs have a little difficulty when facing opponents who are below them.

Overall, Arsenal played very well even better than last season but we cannot compare with other strong teams before making the history of the match
Therefore we must wait until the 9-10th week Liverpool and Tottenham are the most appropriate opponents for Arsenal not including Manchester City of course
Manchester City is too perfect for Arsenal who scored 6 goals in 2 matches and haven't conceded.

In this case we also can't rule out MU even though in terms of their game for now MU is very destroyed but still this will still be a big game.
I think with Arsenal's current condition for next week against Aston Villa they still won't have any significant obstacles but the test will come from MU.

In this case, before facing a big club, Arsenal is really trying to collect as many points as possible.

Newcastle has improved their game and they showed that today against City. City on the other hand are adjusting their attack with Haaland so they might not be in as dominant as they were in last season. I feel City need to adjust a little bit and involve Haaland more and not limit his role as a poacher only. He can provide lot more than just a poacher in my opinion.

It's a pretty good thing for the richest club right now, obviously in this case with spending so much money there they want to make a good result for themselves and this season Newcastle could be a dark horse in the EPL if their form continues like this.
As for City, in terms of dominance, they are still very good, even though they still focus on Haaland in attack, I think this can still work because their midfielders are always active in attack.

A bad result for City and an excellent one for Newcastle and the other teams.
Didn't expect to see such surprise. But what I couldn't still imagine is to see Chelsea defeat with 3 goals to 0 vs Leeds! and to make things even worse, Koulibaly got a red card..
So far, Arsenal is the first and the only one to get straight wins. Chelsea situation isn't good, City will recover from that and I expect to see less faults from them.

If you look at the actual quality this is a good thing for City but in this case we also can't underestimate Newcastle because indeed they are now doing well and are making a talented team with a lot of money in it.
Actually this result is a bit surprising but indeed this can be a lesson that no matter how strong a team from their individual level can be about winning in this league.

This year we have seen the level of transformation the English clubs have undergone. Manchester city has transformed to be one of the biggest clubs in English football and in Europe since the change in ownership. Obviously the wealth of their owners have played a significant role in their transfers and club businesses. Newcastle is also going through transformation stages we have witnessed some big stars joining the club since the take over which shows progress, these rich and wealthy owners are changing the game and making the league more competitive.

I really am curious about the reason behind Manchester City's being this adequate in defense today. Premier League has started very interestingly so far. We have been commonly seeing interesting results in this kind of matches. Arsenal have seemed the most consistent team so far.

Yes, I honestly did not expect Arsenal to move so quietly but surely, of course things can change dozens of times and the outcome of the standings will be completely different, but still, for now Arsenal can compete with Manchester City and Liverpool. But this is only at first glance, we can talk about it in detail in the middle of the season, and now everything has just begun

Unexpectedly Man City failed to win against Newcastle, meaning that only Arsenal achieved perfect results with 3 wins in a row. Even if you look at
Arsenal's next fixture, it is true that at least Arsenal can continue their winning streak for at least two more games. Because Fulham and Aston Villa
who are Arsenal's next opponents have quality players below Arsenal, moreover the confidence of Arsenal's players is now very high, and also
in the next two games Arsenal play at home. So the possibility of Arsenal winning 5 consecutive wins in the Premier League is very possible.
So far Arteta is doing well as Arsenal coach, and deserves to be the best manager in August if Arsenal in the next match beat Fulham.

Looks like Arsenal are going to be on top 3 this year, there is only man city that are showing a good competitive playing style, Chelsea and Liverpool are looking really bad, humiliating loss for Chelsea today, and I don't think Liverpool can win again man utd, so they might lose more points as well, it's up to Arsenal now to keep playing with the same level throughout the whole season.

From the game, it is obvious that Man City needs a play maker. These centrebacks cost city too much when the team they play moves with intensity. They need a new solid centre back to tighten up the defence, cause the defense was disgraceful today. Diaz and stones were terrible today. Lastly, I think Pep need to have some  talk with Foden. Why was he hoarding the ball from Haaland ?
