I agree with you when you say Eric Ten Hag haven’t got much difference with Arteta although, I’ve got a more different reason as to why Arteta or his Arsena team might seem ti have an edge over the Manchester United team and that be in the mindset or attitude of the players. While Eric Ten Hag continues to instill discipline in the minds of his players and trying yo make them see that they are good and can compete favorably,

Since city was the strongest team in EPL right now and i would say that losing against city is not a problem. Those who watched the match could see how poor their defense was and I agree with you that their defensive part should be of Ten Haag's full attention, and also that their strikers haven't been able to find a way to break the deadlock in scoring goals either. it's not only their backline that they need to work on, to be i think the only area of the backline that doesn't look solid is the leftback area and that's due to the injury of Lukeshaw and Malacia, forcing the coach to deploy dalot in a role he's not very familiar with, they can't afford to buy another player if not that's a role that needs strengthening current,but fhe major roles that are lacking in manchester united is the Defensive Midfielder and a striker, we've seen how Martial underperformed against forest and even Rashford when deployed in that area.
 Left for i think if they succeed in selling their club this year, the new owners need to overhaul the club and remove alot of players that are not suitable to for the team but for now what they currently need is another striker, a hodling midfielder and probably another wingback including a centre back to help strengthen the club so far they’ve been hit by lots of injury  Crisis which would affect  them in their next match against Arsenal.
