Manchester city won in a dramatic way on the road against Sheffield and they have again proven their consistency over the last few games. The goal scored by Rodri saved Manchester City from a draw and they are increasingly confident at the top of the standings at this time. I had doubts that Manchester City would win this match but anything can still happen, especially for the reigning EPL champions last season. Throughout 90 minutes, Pep Guardiola only made one substitution and that is sometimes a bit risky if the team is in a draw. But indeed the winning mentality for the Manchester City squad is unquestionable and they are doing well so far.

Yes, the goal in the last minutes was the most expected, because throughout the game Manchester City dominated very much, but Sheffield were lucky all the time, moreover, they even scored a goal in the 85th minute, I don't even know what it had to do with. Although even the goal didn't help Sheffield, they are still on the 17th line of the standings.

To be honest, I think Sheffield is really expected to score when they can really put pressure on the Manchester City defense well. I believed that in the end Sheffield would score but unfortunately they failed to maintain the draw as Manchester City were able to take an early lead before the end.

In this match, Erling Haaland again scored a goal which put him at the top with 3 goals. Haaland didn't have many chances, but Manchester City's attack in this match was really good. It is undeniable that Sheffield really made it difficult for Manchester City to win this match even though in the end Sheffield had to give up.

I can't watch Manchester City vs Sheffield United anymore, completely one sided game and Sheffield United has no chance to reach Manchester City's defenders, after 70 minutes they've not made any shoot. Even though Manchester City win with big margin against Burnley, but Burnley was able to compete and made few shots. Props to Wesley Foderingham since he have made good saves.

Manchester City completely dominated the entire game against Sheffield United recording 30 shot attempts to 6, 80%-20% possession in the game and also recorded six times Sheffield United’s number of passes. Burnley is a more organized side than Sheffield United and it is expected that Burnley will put up a better performance even though they conceded more goals.

 Like I was surprised, what happened to Newcastle that was leading by a goal at half time, I even thought of them coming back to score more goals but the reverse was the case. Losing to Manchester City last week and today they lost to Liverpool who had only 10 men only the field is just disappointing.
 
 I just have to congratulate Liverpool on their victory because it wasn't easy even Klopp, he felt the heat and the pressure. Last week they won with a man down and today it happened in a more difficult situation, is becoming a habit I tell you. I think if you want to get the best of Liverpool is to take one man off the pitch and they'll give you a positive result, hope the winning streak will continue?

First Manchester City, then Liverpool made a comeback. Manchester United made a comeback yesterday. In this case, Arsenal was the loser of the week. While all their opponents received 3 points, they were content with 1 point.
It's been an interesting week for the Premier League. Manchester City made 3 out of 3 to show that they are favorites for the championship again. Tottenham, Liverpool and Arsenal also feel like they will be in the race. Not sure about Chelsea though. It looks like it will be a good competitive season again.

Liverpool were superb today to win this game after conceding a red card in the 28th minute of the game. I love the spirit and the level of determination they showed against Newcastle United today with a man down and managed to make a come back and finish in a win at full time, this is the kind if spirit I want to see in the Arsenal team. Congratulations to Liverpool for taking all three points with a man down away at St James park, definitely not an easy place to steal such a big win.

Indeed. It was a miracle. Newcastle already lead with 1 goal and Liverpool lost 1 player because Van Dijk got a red card since minute 28'. Playing with 10 player only since minute 28', everyone have judged Liverpool has no chance to win. Moreover, Newcastle really dominated the match, they won more than 60% of ball possession and they made many shot attempts (23 shots). With that situation, no one expects that Liverpool will score 2 goals in second half and win the match. I believe everyone thinks Newcastle will score more goals.

I agree that it is a luck besides they play will good mentality, they never give up until the end of the match. Finally, Liverpool got full points and they are in 4th place temporarily. While for Newcastle, it is another bad result, they got losses in the last 2 matches. So, they are out of the top10 of the EPL standings now. Newcastle isn't lucky because they must face 2 strong teams in the early of this season.

The course of this match we were surprised by the red card received by Van Dijk which made Liverpool have to play with 10 players in this match. Newcastle United played better in the first half by pressing hard on Liverpool from the early minutes and in the 25th minute Gordon was able to score a goal and bring Newcastle United to a 1-0 lead until the end of the first half.

But in the second half of the game they tended to be more aggressive in attack and lost their good defensive form so that when there was a counter attack they failed to break which made Nunez comfortably score an equalizer. Not long after, Nunez scored the second goal which made Liverpool close this match by winning. I think Eddie Howe was quite disappointed with the appearance of his team in the second half because they failed to maintain the advantage they which should get 3 points.

City's level expectations were too high, so the victory over Sheffield felt far below their standards. usually, City would win their game by a big score. but please understand, if the absence of several players makes Pep not use the system that is his mainstay. maybe if De Brunye and Stones have recovered, Pep can return to using his flagship system with his 3-2-4-1 pattern. unfortunately De Bruyne is scheduled to return on Jan 14 2024, while J.Stones will return on Sept 17. so, it seems there are not many options for Pep other than implementing a 4-2-3-1 system.

The point is that City is still consistent in winning the game, even though it's not like Pep Guardiola's expectations. actually in this game City had a lot of chances, they had 30 total shots, 9 shots on target, 4 big chances, 1 hit the post. and should, they could have scored more than two goals. even so, still the result is 3 points. but I'm pretty sure, if Pep will always have another plan and strategy when his team meets stronger opponents. maybe, now City just needs a warm-up like at the start of last season. after that, they were back on fire especially if none of Pep Guardiola's squad were injured.  The competition has just lasted three weeks, there are still many other matches that they will play. let's just follow, how the Premier League presents each match after match every week.

What I've noticed so far is that Newcastle are weaker against bigger teams and losing against two big teams shows that they might not maintain the top four this season even losing to   Liverpool side that played with 10men that's a disappointing defeat and the coach should definitely be disappointed at his team losing at home to a Liverpool side with 10men.
 After Gordon scored the opener in the 25th minute and Van Dijk also got sent out of the pitch due to a red card,I already concluded that it's finished for Liverpool and expected Newcastle to get more goals since they were more possessive but I became the opposite because they kept missing many chances to win the game and Liverpool with the help of Nunez suprisenly turn the game around in the late minutes of the game, scoring a brace to end the match with a 1-2 win.

After falling behind to first half goal and also down to men against a top English Premier League team like Newcastle, Darwin Nunez came off the bench in the 77th minute to produce an an believable  performance by scoring two late goals to hand Liverpool win against Newcastle United whom they've never lost to in their last 17 meetings.
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp described the match as a game he's never had like it before. With those two brilliant goals from the Uruguay international, I think Nunez restored his place in the starting line up of the club

Without Pep Guardiola, I think Manchester City really struggled to penetrate the Sheffield defense in that match. Haaland repeatedly failed to score and missed penalty kicks, but in the end Manchester City managed to break the deadlock where Haaland successfully beat Wes Foderingham with a header.

However, Sheffield, who appeared impressive through a counter-attack scheme, succeeded in breaking into Ederson's goal in the 85th minute which then made Manchester City make several changes. Finally, Rodri with his hard kick successfully scored Manchester City's winning goal for a score of 1-2. Julian Alvarez, who plays as an attacking midfielder has failed several times. But that's okay as long as the other players are able to score goals for the team's victory.

Manchester City is one of the most consistent teams in the first 3 matches this season because they were able to end all the matches by winning. So it's only natural that Manchester City is still the favorite this season to win the EPL trophy. Even though Kevin De Bruyne was not on the field, Manchester City game was still good enough to beat their opponents.

On the other hand, We were surprised by Everton because they still failed to win in 3 matches earlier this season. It looks like Dyche is still having trouble bringing big changes to Everton this season. The other teams are quite strong but they are so weak I think Dyche should be able to quickly overcome their unstable form.

Everything changed in the last 10 minutes of the match and Liverpool managed to win this match. Even though 10 people played for most of the game, thanks to Darwin Nunez, they scored 2 goals in 10 minutes and won the match we were starting to think they would lose.
Newcastle United also played quite well but missed many opportunities, while Liverpool made a great comeback in the last minutes

Darwin Nunez if you remember didn't get a promising starts of life in the Premier League but it feels good to watch him grow Into that player we never imagined he would become.
Scoring these kind of goals amke you big players and game deciders. This is just his start with Salah pressuring the move he will be the perfect leader of the attack alongside Luis Diaz. Those chances missed by Newcastle showed they don't have what it takes to win that game.

Manchester City played quite well and I agree with what you said because I felt that this was an easy match but Sheffield United gave their best defence and even scored a goal back even though it didn't last long.
Manchester United's dominance is still very much felt despite the absence of KDB there but Sheffield's good defence makes it a little difficult for Manchester United.
I also appreciate Foderingham's play in this match even though he conceded 2 goals but there were some saves that deserve a thumbs up to this player.

Pep Guardiola wasn't the one in charge of the match, it was his assistant coach "Juan Manuel'' who was in charge of the match(supervised, featured, and made the substitution in the match). This is his first time being in charge of a Manchester City match wouldn't blame him that much since Pep Guardiola went for a back surgery at Barcelona. Although the back surgery has been done successfully.
Pep Guardiola won't still serve as Manchester City's head coach in their upcoming game against Fulham. Instead, his assistant, "Juan Manuel," will do so. By Friday this coming week, I think he'll start the right players against Fulham and make the appropriate substitute at the right time that will bring about the 4th win match for Manchester City.

On the other hand, We were surprised by Everton because they still failed to win in 3 matches earlier this season. Everton have only managed to escape relegation in the last two EPL seasons, they have started this one in the worst possible way as well, losing 3 games out of 3 and it looks like it is going to be another relegation battle for them, they might not be third time lucky this season and could actually drop to the Championship. The hierarchy at Everton isn't managing the club well, a drop to the Championship might actually be a wake-up call for them, but the season is still pretty long, so yeah.

After Gundogan, Riyad Mahrez and Laporte left the club this summer, Manchester City have managed to add a few replacements to fill these positions and they are still toping the league rankings this season already. A victory today elevated them to top place in the league after week three ahead of Newsastle and Arsenal who lost and drew respectively.
