I agree with you. Chelsea have serious problems in their defense. I am confused why Chelsea increase the number of goalkeepers even though currently there seems to be around 8 goalkeepers in the Chelsea squad. But it seems true what X-ray said, Chelsea increase the number of goalkeepers not only to find the best and strengthen their defense, but to do some business and get profit from the player's price.

That many goalkeepers will definitely be very wasteful for a team because Chelsea will only use a few and it would be more ideal if Chelsea could sell half of that number to other teams and buy some other defenders to fill their defense to make it better. Because a team must be better from all lines and more importantly is the defense side apart from the front side which must also have fast finishers so that there are goals from each match. Let's say we want to give Chelsea the benefit of doubt like they can carry the responsible of going for the title, how can they manage with these inconsistency and lack of form? They are not anywhere near better in terms of playing and Bayer Leverkusen was ready right from the beginning of the season and you could see how they manage each game get all 3 point without minding who their opponent was and you can't say that to Chelsea, fine we shouldn't underestimate any team but not with Chelsea, they haven't given us something to say they can try and also with Manchester United, they haven't been able to keep their house together and you say is winning the league title? No it can't happen but they can fight for the top 4.

The league hasn't even started yet (it starts in 7 days), but you can already say everything about the teams, meaning you're just having baseless discussions & this will be endless if i continue. Well, let's stop here, and let's just see what Chelsea & Manchester United can do. Moreover, Manchester United will play the opening match, they will face Fulham.

Between for business or used to see a goalkeeper who has the right skills for Chelsea. So from my thinking, it is likely that some of the goalkeepers that Chelsea currently have will be loaned to several other teams while the transfer market has not closed, it is possible that Chelsea will take this opportunity to get profit to cover the money that has been spent a lot to recruit new players this summer. Chelsea should indeed focus on several lines that must be added with new players, but we also have to see if Chelsea has a little difficulty in bringing in reliable attacking players like Osimhen who until now has not given any confirmation from Napoli. And if that can happen, of course there will be many who say that Chelsea will rise.

There is nothing wrong with Arteta's tactics, nor is anything inherently wrong with the team. Arsenal have just one problem, and that is Manchester City, the serial winners. Look at Arsenal's stats last season, it was unbelievable, but if you want to take the title from City you have to be perfect, and that might be asking too much from Arsenal.

Pep is out of this world, his hunger to continue pushing his team is unprecedented, Arsenal are edging closer to win the league every season, they get better after every season and learn new lessons, if they are "perfect" this season, then they will be champions after a very long time.

I don't think so. This Arsenal team lacked the character, the mentality to finish what they started. Place a club like Manchester United or Liverpool were Arsenal was last season and they wouldn't lose that game to Aston Villa. So you want to put the Aston Villa lose on  who now? Pep Guardiola? That's laughable! I know quite well that Josep Pep Guardiola is good but Mikel Arteta should have done better with his squad selection during that game.

This season kicks off in the next six days, yes? I'm still rooting for gunners to win it because Liverpool and Manchester United are not even close to winning shiit.

With a new defender added to Arsenal squad, I'm expecting then to concede less number of goals than they did last season. They don't need to be perfect, they just need to bloody fight for themselves and be consistent. I still believe in my heart, gunners can win it.

The gunners can win the league if they can correct the little mistakes that has always made them to lose out on the league for the past two seasons. I listened to one of Arteta's interview where he said that he is going to win all of his premier league matches this coming season, that was when I realized that Arsenal are in for a serious business this coming season. I would really love it if Arsenal will the league this coming season. At least it will pay off for the disappointments they have had in recent years. When you look at how their recruitment has gone this summer, you will see that this Arsenal side are in for a serious business. As always Arsenal has already known who will be their stumbling block, the moment they can find a solution to that problem the league will be their own. I don't expect Manchester City to be more hungrier for league this season than the gunners.

I quite disagree with you. I meant, Pochettino got enough time to prove it, and he helped Chelsea climb up from 12th to 6th. It's a very good achievement, but Todd still fired him at the end of last season. It's proven that the main problem in Chelsea was the owner of the club itself.
As long as Chelsea has an inconsistent owner like Todd Boehly, they won't be the same as under Abramovich. I didn't even see anything wrong with Poch, but Todd sacked him.

I see why you disagree with me. But I think I need to explain about this specific situation. In this case, Chelsea did not give the coach enough time because he was bringing in good results towards the end. But Chelsea still decided to fire him and bring in another coach. What if they actually gave him a little more time, maybe another season? that’s why I think they still did not give him enough time. Or maybe they were already in some kind of agreement with Enzo Maresca before Mauricio Pochettino started bringing in consistent results. That also could be a reason.

Maresca will not be last for a season. With Chelsea's current form, I doubt they'll finish in the top four. They sacked Pochettino, who delivered for the club, and what about Maresca? Terrible pre-season under him, and what's next?
Lose streak in EPL? Out of Conference League? I have no positive impression toward Maresca.

the biggest mistake that Chelsea made was to bring in a new coach when the previous coach was still bringing in consistent results and was showing good signs towards the end of the season. Now the new coach will have to work with them from almost the start and the team will also have to get used to new tactics. That is definitely not optimal for any squad. Thinking that Chelsea is going to finish in the top four positions is literally being very optimistic.

The arrival of Calafiori and making David Raya permanent for the new season is certainly a good thing for Arsenal to do right now because at least with Calafiori, it can make our expectations greater for Arsenal's current defense.
Although it cannot be denied that for now I think Arsenal is not short of players, but they currently lack creativity and their mentality is still quite weak until now which makes their condition sometimes uncertain. Arsenal could be very good but at one time Arsenal could be very bad because of the lack of mentality they currently have.
Hopefully, of course we want something positive for them because whether we realize it or not, for now Arsenal is the only club that is most expected in the competition for trophies.

With what Arteta has been cooking so far, I believe in what arteta is doing for the club. Even if it doesn’t look like they’re in it, I believe they’re on the right track. I have not really watched the new signing Calafiori and this Merino guy they are targeting play, before Arteta bided for them, but I’m sure they’ll make the squad stronger.
Calafiori was a force in Bologna defense. His performance last season got them a European qualification. The Arsenal defense is already a strong one, his addition will not only make them stronger defensively but offensively because it’ll give the offensive players more confidence to attack.

Arsenal under Mikel Arteta have learnt from their mistakes..but all I can say is for him to start winning silverwares for the club with all the investments made towards getting the players he needs.

The kind of business Chelsea is doing might backfire and not bring profits. The reason I said so is that;

• Goal keepers don't cost as much as players.
• Chelsea will need time to test all the 7 goalies to convince clubs come for them with high price. So, how will Chelsea test all these goalies?

It is becoming obvious that Todd wants to do the kind of business that Arsenal of Arsene Wenger was doing.

Bringing in more goalkeepers will not sealed the prospect of formidable form for the club. I'm pretty amazed with the current signings of the Blues, atleast it put them out to become a competent contender for the English Premier League title next season, definitely a competitive one. Chelsea making random signings and not of all of them are consider important, we have other streams that have become very active towards the signings from Todd Boehly actions.

I don’t even think this business is only for goalkeepers that they have so many in the team. Chelsea has the highest number of players for the next season and with that number, I am very sure it is for business because most of those players won’t even get to play any match with them throughout the season. What baffles me is that even as they have this so many players, they’re still looking to sign more to strengthen their squad. This looks like business because I’m sure they already have their main players for next season and the rest will just be for business sake.

How much do you believe in the idea that the Community Shield is not that important for Man City?
The Community Shield is not a big competition but winning the opening match of the season gives the Man City players confidence and gives them a great spirit and will definitely get a good record this season.

Community Shield is also a trophy you can count to the many award trophies a club is suppose to have in their records room. None of the teams that will play in the community shield will not want to win the game or won’t take it that serious. Like you said, it will help build the morale of players to begin the season with. Every win is an encouragement and the first win is very important.

If you look at the progress made by Arteta in the last two seasons I have no doubts about them next season but one thing that is quite difficult to improve is mentality and that is the reason Arsenal failed to win the title in the last 2 seasons.
I don't know how Arteta's efforts can fix that but what is clear is that it is not easy.
While on the other hand Manchester City of course also has great ambitions to be able to retain the Premier League title so it will not be easy for both teams and I think fierce competition will occur again between Manchester City and Arsenal next season for the top position in the Premier League standings.

Defense is still a weak point that Chelsea must improve and this was seen not only during pre-season but also in the competition that took place last season. Chelsea did not prioritize these positions to be improved and instead they bought several players who were not quite right last season so there were many positions that did not work optimally when they played. Cucurella showed his best abilities in pre-season but he did not control the defensive position himself without the support of other players.

This season Chelsea still has a lot of work to fix this position even though Chelsea may not have much time left, but overall Chelsea still has the opportunity to maximize their defensive position before starting their first match in this new season. I also quite regret Chelsea's condition last season which could not make significant improvements in their own team and it is very much hoped that this season Chelsea can be better through their revival in the Premier League.

This season Chelsea are just working hard to buy players and I think it's funny, piling up players will not be better, it will ruin the game with many options to determine the line-up, Chelsea's squad is now filled with 43 players, that's too much money spent and no benefit, I don't know how the management thinks whether they want to prove that they have a lot of money or want to invest in players

But it has not been fruitful with Rashford not being able to use his pace to get the needed effect on the City defense. Both teams are defending really well and have been able to withstand their attacks. Pep Guardiola seems to be frustrated, and it is looking like the same result we had in the FA Cup might happen today.  I have not seen much of Erling Haaland in this game, and Mason Mount is surprising starting the game but not much impact. It will be good to see Erik ten Hag introduce Jadon Sancho, maybe in the second half. Manchester United have missed him. Jack Grealish's presence would have made some difference because of his dribble skills and pace but City attack is not doing badly.

Well, it looks like Manchester United have managed to reach an agreement with Bayern on the transfer of De Ligt. The transfer amount will be €45m, + €5m in bonuses and the possibility to distribute the payments over three years. I think this is a good decision for both teams, Manchester United will get a stronger defense, which they definitely need, and Bayern will get some funds for new transfers and let go of a player that Kompany did not count on.

After the last few weeks we have continued to watch friendly matches which did not have high intensity in their matches, but now we are finally able to see a match between two big teams in an official competition again  allowing us to see an exciting match and also have high intensity in the game , the two winning teams from last season are facing each other in the Community Shield Cup right now, although the trophy is not very prestigious, but at least winning it today will increase the confidence of both teams ahead of the Premier League.

I saw in the first half of today's match, both teams had not yet played their new players and it seemed like there weren't too many formation changes that occurred for both Manchester United and Manchester City, who dominantly fielded a lot of their reserve players last season, but I don't know what is on Guardiola mindin this matchwho seems to be taking the Community Shield Cup lightly at the moment, because they fielded several young players and reserves in the final match.

Manchester United have put themselves into the game and for quite some minutes now they have being in total control of the game with two good chances that they were suppose to score but missed it. Both chances were a one-on-one chance with City goalkeeper.

It will be better if United make use of the chances that they are having to net the post because they might not see such opportunities again, and if City have theirs, they might find the back of the post. It is still goalless.
