Arsenal fans are only giving excuse for their disgraceful lose to a championship side in the FA cup. There is no justification that any Arsenal fan will give that will be good for the lose in the FA cup. There is no way that Arsenal would have lost to a championship side that is disgraceful for a club like Arsenal.


Arsenal should better win the champion league and premiership title this season if not it will be a disasterious season for Arsenal, if they don't end up the season with a trophy. Going by what I saw Arsenal play against Sporting it was not a very convincing performance that I saw them display. Going by the standard of the other teams in the champions League Arsenal don't stand a chance of winning the champions League by my assessment.

They are becoming inconsistent with their performance and it's clear that they are barely holding up just so they can win the league if not you will see that things are not the same for them again. Nothing they say will justify the loss against Southampton, they missed out on winning the treble after missing out on quadruple earlier. If they don't step up their game again they might even miss out on the champions league and even the premier league.

Even if they can't win both they should at least win one trophy this season that almost all teams are struggling I think this is the perfect opportunity for them. Against Sporting I won't blame them because it's not always easy when you visit a team in their home so winning 1-0 was enough but let's see how far they can go in the competition.

Yes, Arsenal is very good and determine this season specially if we make comparison of them with their previous season performances. This time they play their every match with very focused and dedicatedly. And I think this is what makes Arsenal more credible this time. Because in the previous seasons Arsenal start looses thir consistent after a healthy start. But gradually decline in their performance till the end dose not help them to be successful. But this time their chances of success is more and I think they are very close to be on the best position. Because currently they are also in the best position and it is expected from them that they will achieve for what  they are struggling. Arsenal managed to win the match against Sporting Lisbon tonight and they could only score 1-0 against Sporting, this score although very encouraging for Arsenal but the aggregate is still very lacking to be able to remain confident of winning in the second leg, we must remember how Bodo / Glimt could get a second leg defeat from Sporting even after being 3-0 up at half time, this must be a lesson for Arteta to stay alert in the second half even though they are very confident about themselves, the second leg is a determination that must be well secured.

There was a quarter final match between Arsenal football team and Sporting football team and match was tough for both teams because both teams want to win this match and both gave good effort to win this match. The shots of Sporting football team were less in this match and these were only 7 in this match and only 3 shots were on target and possession percentage of that team was 42 percent in this match and they could not hold football for more time and they could not do any goal in this match and at the end opponent team defense was more strong and Sporting team tried to attack in this match but they could not do that due to multiple reasons and they lose this match due to their poor effort and big difference of stats .

It's been a while since sporting cp lost on their home ground, arsenal broke a record most football fans never thought would be possible. What record did Arsenal make, I don't understand.  I know alot of people praise Arsenal's performance against Sporting but I don't really think that was the case, for me, Sporting deserved that win or atleast get a goal, but the biggest obstacle they had to surmount which they couldn't was Raya. Arsenal disappointed me, I know Sporting is not small thing but common, Arsenal is suppose to be the giant of England and they were struggling to convert one, stat can be deceiving.

I did not get the opportunity of watching this match since I was not at home when the match was played, but I am happy to see they Arsenal actually ended up making their fans proud.
According to a very closed friend of mine who is also a good lover of football and hardly misses watching any football league matches, what he said about the match is just as exactly and the same as you guys have said here..

He made me understand that sporting had their chances but Arsenal's defence was too strong to Crack through, and  arsenal on the other hand didn't play a rushed game, they took things slowly and eventually had their one goal which turned out to be their winning goal.
So an Arsenal fan myself, I am very happy with the outcome of this match.

No doubt it has been a different season for Arsenal, they have remained consistent in the league and champions League unlike before where they would start so well and end up losing everything to another club, this shows a whole lot of improvement on the team and the new experience in the side of the players. What else do you expect a team that is playing at home to do even though they are not the strongest team in the game, of course I expected them to be well organized, more comfortable with the ball at least and create a few chances and perform well because it's their home stadium. I knew it wouldn't be so easy for Arsenal even if they manage to win the match. Let's see how they will perform when they visit Arsenal, I am sure they won't be able to do all this because Arsenal will take total control that day and they may likely score more goals. Arsenal just need to make sure everything is well in place so they don't fumble.

Maybe you're not noticing, It's been long Arsenal started advertising their weakness, they're not in a very good shape unlike the start of the season and fatigue is telling on the players. They are still on top actually and the favorites to win this trophy, but they should be very careful with the next games because Guardiola still got eyes on that trophy

in the champions league they are  unbeaten and still in the competition competing for the title and also one of the favorite, with all these it shows they are better than the previous season and the season before.

The Carabao cup was not the main problem, but Southampton defeat in the FA cup. It showed the extent of their reduced form, I don't think any excuse justifies that loss. I just hope they can hang on and get this EPL trophy home

I don't see that weakness on how they play because if is what you saying I'm telling you that these guys would have dropped points a long time ago, the reason I said that is because of the number of players they have to fit in every position they have got, that has been what have been surviving them till now. They can't complain of fatigue that much, the only thing they have to scream at is not getting a trophy yet.

Manchester City shown their strength in recent matches but by wasting many points in previous months of season, it's now too late for Manchester City doing something to flip a rank against Arsenal. They will try till a time Arsenal are eligible to lift the title but Manchester City have very small chance to do it successfully.
