Once a transaction has 6 confirmations, it is extremely unlikely that an attacker without at least 50% of the network's computation power would be able to reverse it.

You do realize I only play ponzi sites. I bash the bad ones, that's all. Been pretty consistent my friend. What's not fine in my opinion are admins confusing people like you into believing their sites are real. Have you not read any of my posts or my signature? I play HYIP's and share my knowledge on 13 years of playing them. Not my first time on this rodeo of meeting people like you who are being led to the slaughter.

STAY AWAY: rockwell,btc-arbs,bitcoin-trader - I've been playing HYIP's and have a near flawless record over the last year. Made over 1000% return last year. Play HYIP's safely and smart! Stay away from the referral whores on this forum, especially from those putting out their referral links in their signatures. They have no other interest but to profit from you.

Sometimes people need to be shaken to realize what they are doing. Call it an intervention.

this entire arbitrage as investement system is a scam.
and I can prove it with simple logic.

now the proof:

arbitrage oportunities are limited.
the less volume is put into arbitrage trading, the greater the rewards for those who do.

it is like a pirate-treasure island. selling people more maps where the treasure is hidden, does not increase the amount of gold buried there.
on the contrary. even if all the people who bought maps share the gold equally (lol) it gets less for each the more people are participating.

advertising an investement into an arbitrage system is not only ridiculous but also extremly toxic to your own investement in the same system.
the only way you can make profit that way, is a multi-level-marketing system also known as pyramid game and sometimes also called a ponzi scheme.

short: either it works (and you are happy and silent with your profits) or you have to betray people and part them from their money.

now please stop.

It is like the wild west in the movies, like russia in the 90ies.
It´s you, revolutionaries, scamers, gangsters, genuises, greedy soon-to-be loosers, billionares, and  big business at a global private party. It is bitcoin. http://nakamotoinstitute.org/mempool/dont-panic/

Once more and for the last time, ARBITRAGE system is real and it exists in a lot of other markets. If it can exist in oil or gas markets, much more regulated markets, I do not see why it would exists in unregulated and imperfect BTC market. Here is an example of the real stuff:

http://turnkeyanalyst.com/2012/03/05/how-to-arbitrage-the-oilnatural-gas-btu-spread/

Whether these actual guys do arbitrage or not, I do not know and I cannot be sure. All I do is share my personal experience clearly listing potential risk of this investment.

dude, please read what you quote in your reply.
I never said arbitrage is not a valid trading type.
On the very contrary.
It is a very vital function for determination of price of a comodity.
All I said is:

You are advertising a scam!

(pure logical reasons are laid out in the post you quoted).

super short (just for you):

ROI get´s less, the more volume you use.
If you advertise successfully you kill your own ROI.*

Just do not appreciate this constant patronizing attitude of yours where you claim u being master of the universe and everybody else ignorant morons. Anyway, I m out from this conversation.

Agree with u, its pointless this thread, actually should be removed.
Its just pointless... On one side a geezer with 13 years experience on BS scams, stating that they are crap and they rob money from people, still, promoting his links and refs so he can make money on the others, so, to me, he is also a scammer, if he wants to make money with the ignorance and greed of simple people, as this ponzi schemes only work if refs are brought in everyday. Then, with 13 years of experience, cheating others, comes the day he is the "iluminato" to defend us from BT... To me it would make sense if he was advertising his ref link, but cause the only thing he does is washing dirty clothing in this thread, I would guess its a personnal thing...

Then a happy customer of BT (amongst the other 3750 silent clients) posting daily results and trying to explain and educate people (most without any financial knowledge) that its possible to make with arbs. Well, it is possible. Arbs can work with any instrument, any exchange, its basically the laws of supply and demand. I personnaly do it with BC/BTC. Why? Cause its confirmations are damn fast. Do I do it everyday? Of course not, I have a "normal" job. Do I make 1% profit/day? Yes I do, when I trade, when there's the opportunity. Just wish I had a million bucks to invest, just one single trade, and I could even divide it for 22 working days and say I make 1% a day. I don't think BT trades everyday, maybe 2 or 3 times a week, but with a good volume. Maybe they trade this week, and offer the results next week, and who knows what they trade? And how often? And in what conditions?

So, this will be my last post on this thread as well, cause its clearly going nowhere. As I'm a client of BT I moved to a more constructive "forum", where the PR Manager is and people can ask questions directly. If anyone is intrested: https://www.facebook.com/groups/629441250471567/

Herr Andreas, dude, guess you need to know the market a bit more in order to stop thinking like a 5 year old child. Let me repeat statistics again, on a good day, total BTC trading volume is between 300.000 and 450.000 BTC. This is close to $20 MILLION at current prices. In addition to this you have LTC trade, alts to alts trade, alts to fiat trade, etc so total crypto trading volume probably gets closer to $40 MILLION per day on a good day. Trading arbitrage opportunities here are huge inside BTC economy, how big do you think this service is in order to saturate the market?

What I do agree is that in the following months, arbitrage opportunities are going to decrease as more people play this game and markets imperfections get corrected and this is exactly what is going on. However, ATM, there is still lots of space to do arbitrage, I have been doing that personally quite often using alts to alts method. However, I have liquidity issues, NOT ENOUGH alt coins to trade daily. I would really like if someone would give me 1000 BTC to trade.

Really no time or patience to argue with you over and over again, you do not like it, fine, go put your money in a bank. The risk has always been proportional to gains.

If sound logic is too childish for you, well there is little I can or want to do about it, but the math of someone not doing arbitrage but investing in someone else doing (or at least claiming to do) arbitrage who pays (advertisers like yourself) for new recruits simply does only add up to a fraudulent pyramid scheme.

I think you should als check out the "martingale" system so you can beat the casino at roulette Wink
for you and all the people who actually fall for the scam you make profits from advertising some google suggestions:

pireat40 (aka Trenton Shavers), rival and non-rival goods, multi level marketing, gamblers ruin, and last but not least (if you are US based) "Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program".

My quest to rid the world of this stupidity is now over for the time being.

FYI, in theory you can. You just need endless money and enough time, and you would be the winner. That's why casinos work with table limits.

great plan if you want to get rich and need endless money to start with Wink

it´s a bit like the arbitrage "investement" advertised here on the forum.
you can make a small fortune from that.

if you start with a big one.

As of today Bitcoin trader has been online for 190 days and paying. Since BTC trading shares mature in 120 days, lost of people reached their full ROI so far. I still have not heard a single complaint about this service, anyone, anywhere? The average profits are about 0.7-0.8% per day or just above 20% per month.

A 0.7% - 0.8% per day ponzi game will keep the ponzi going for quite a while. I don't know the admins end game, but it can't be pretty. I imagine we'll hear about people depositing 500 to 1000 bitcoin and Bitcoin-trader will vanish.

By the way where is their office? I see their whois is private.. go figure lol.
