What is Uno trying to be? Is it a currency, like the u.s dollar? Is it a commodity like oil, gold, or marijuana? Is it a stock or bond entitling people to a certain amount of whatever? There is so much identity crisis. Could it function as all three? Certainly not. It is neither stock nor bond as there is nothing further than the chain. It is not a commodity because it cannot be used for anything, and as far as currency goes, well there are better cryptos to use. So where does that leave Uno?
Trying to expand markets will work for a short boom and bust as it increases the total number of suckers, er investors, but it doesn't do anything for the long term. Now you have 1000 people holding 10 coins each looking to get rid of them instead of 10 people holding 1000 coins each looking to dump them. I guess over time it stabilizes things as it impacts the market less if people dump 10 uno at a time than if they were to dump 1k at a time.
People can call it what ever they want, pegging is the common term, but it isn't that Uno needs to be pegged to the price of something else. It can obtain independence in value even if it is an on par exchange for something that works in the real world. Think about how much easier it would be if Unobtanium existed and was an element people could do stuff with. Well shit. One kilo of Uno crypto would inevitably be worth some amount of Uno element and since one would have some type of demand or desire by proxy the other would too if there was some type of parity among them. Uno doesn't have that right now. At best we are sitting here and hoping things turn to shit so bad in other coins that we wind up being the last resort, because hey, where else is everyone going to go.
Imo people like Gekko don't care about crypto. They entered crypto because they were experienced in trading and saw the platforms were similar and decided to milk that bitch. He is a trader.
Imo people like IMZ care about crypto. They entered crypto because it was an opportunity for them to liberate themselves a bit more, they are more interested in the uses of crypto and the chain and such, reminds me more of the ethos of 'the creator' lol.
Imo people like Me are fuckin stupid. They entered crypto seeing these other two groups of people and hoped to latch on and catch some of the money the people like Gekko miss while also hoping that the people like IMZ actually do take crypto some where bigger than where it currently is. I think crypto is sorta stupid but if people are willing to throw money at it i am willing to take a risk with them. I think cellphones and social media are stupid but the amount of money there would prove me to be quite the fool. If crypto goes places that is awesome. My future outlook for the world doesn't involve the internet so much. It seems like there are still areas of the world where fresh water is a problem but they have no issues with cell phone reception
and imesho that = doomed.
