still nice to see UNO in reasonable range for the start of 2016 (might i suggest the new baseline) but yeah it will drift back some, bonus is when BTC tops of on this $470 run up another round of value storage seekers look to UNO ps ... what coin does not see dumping @+36% in 7 days UNO that's who/what!

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

It is what it is.
There is a need on Cryptsy for Uno at .005+, so the price reflects it.
What is also artificial is people sitting back waiting to take advantage of desperate dumpers.

That statement makes no sense at all. https://www.cryptopia.co.nz/ArbitrageLook at the prices on that page for UN. .0039-.0041 on Bittrex, Bleutrade and cryptopia. Nobody is "sitting back". People buying on Cryptsy to escape drives those prices naturally higher and people just trying to get BTC are dumping them on those three other exchanges forcing lower prices (more supply than demand). The markets are doing what markets do. Nobody is "sitting back". You are always free to set higher bids with your money if you believe kindness is important for markets to operate.

Long story short, I think the true price of these alts that are sky high on cryptsy is somewhere between the cryptsy price and the other exchanges..
What is happening is the price is being pushed up at cryptsy and pushed down everywhere else. When this cryptsy shenanagains is finally over, one way or another, I expect the prices on these alts in question to rise slightly on all the dumping-ground exchanges when the cryptsy exodus sell pressure is over..
I think cryptsy is about 70% too high and the rest of the exchanges 30% too low, the true price right about thereish for many many alts, especially DOGE and UNO..
RDD is an interesting case as its price has risin throughout all exchanges during this mess, more so on cryptsy, and it seemed like all exchanges RDD prices were dragged UP by cryptsy when this first started happening.

It makes perfect sense. People are willing to pay more on Cryptsy to escape. I am willing to buy more but I anticipate they will dump. They buy at the escape price premium. I anticipate a dump based on unusual demand created by Big Vern, and so I am willing to pay less. The fair price is somewhere in between. Maybe. There are only 18k Uno left in the Cryptsy cold wallet. Less than 9.5% of supply. If things get dicey there (and I know Gekko thinks everything at Crytpsy is just fine), then I am prudent to price low, anticipating that some Cryptsy traders are willing to settle for perhaps 1/2 of their bitcoin, rather than none. Sorry, don't have 120 bitcoin laying around in at the moment to buy out everyone at Cryptsy for $3. Maybe next week. Just as Gekko sees an opportunity, so do I. We're just on opposite sides. Thats what makes a market. Either of us could be right. The cool thing is that, time will tell. I hope Gekko isn't left scrambling to dump his bitcoin for Uno at Cryptsy if the worst occurs. But I have seen it before (at Coin-ex), and if he is, I'll be glad to buy him out cheap. If not, I will raise my price.

this statement makes perfect sense I think cryptsy is about 70% too high and the rest of the exchanges 30% too low i'm not gonna split hairs on the numbers but my guess is +10 / -20 ... really doesn't matter ... the market is aware of the situation and has it factored in ... in fact Cryptsy designed their current "free to play fee to exit" policy for just such arbitrage situations. This could drag on for months, Cryptsy maybe able to unwind whatever they are stuck with, but I have noticed everyday another coin gets locked up ... so who knows ... in the meantime the Gordon Gekkos are willing to test BigVern's pass thru casino

It's all cheap under .007, as I believe after the January-February pump and pump we can level out about $8-10, and another year down the road, $20.
Most UNO believers are holding. It's an accumulation game with this scarcity.

Venlo may be right. If that is the case, my buy orders will creep up.
My goal is to get as much rare Uno as I can for the loose BTC I have rattling in my pocket.
Despite the drain on the wallet, the dumps have not been significant to this point.

Not a lot of UNO has been used to exit Cryptsy. A lot of people are favouring doge (lots of liquidity, you don't move the price like with UNO) and ETH. I think that a lot of UNO has just gone home. NatMccoy is doing some sort of analysis of the Cryptsy wallet and I privately provided him with the information he requested since I have been depositing and withdrawing in the last week. That's why my wallet is out of the top 10 now. I needed to send some to Cryptsy for the arb. So about 500 or so are over there, or have been sold for BTC, replaced by the cheap ones bought on Bittrex. Patience. It's the waiting, not the trading.

UNO is not a sidechain of BTC, sidechains have not been implemented anywhere, they are only a concept at this point.

Cryptopia UNO markets have caught up to the bittrex UNO market by volume and will likely overtake it soon at this rate!!
Edit: passed trex now if you combine all of topia's UNO markets..

Thanks for the info Gekko. At first glance it appears that this: https://chainz.cryptoid.info/uno/wallet.dws?20615.htm is the Cryptsy "hotter" wallet, ~11,000 addresses but contains only 77 UNO. I'll do some more digging later (big Chemistry exam tomorrow), but we got some good info. If anyone makes deposits to Cryptsy in the future, check if it gets funneled into that wallet.

This is what I'm beginning to enjoy: Look at the distribution. As the exchange mega wallets continue to decrease, the distribution will look even better!

Big Vern just tweeted that all wallets will be closed on Friday 18/12 for equipment changes. That doesnt sound like an exchange that is shutting down or broke to me. Can we speculate that by Monday all will be normal again back at Cryptsy, and the price disparities will clear up?
Hmmm...

why would a working bitcoin wallet be dependent on new equipment?

Sounds more like a Gox to me. You don't have problems for three months while all other exchanges' wallets work perfectly fine. I honestly hope you're right, but I don't think that's what we'll be seeing. We're gradually moving up, not too fast, nice and easy. I wouldn't mind moving up 5-10 cents every week or two. What do you guys think?
