When i have time i go to local market to check prices

Vegetable prices doubled
Fruit prices doubled
Meat prices around 30% increase
Grain products around 20% increase
...

And my country  is a exporter of food products

How is it in your country ? Same ?

----------------------

My country is Romania

https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2020-04-10/food-supply-fears-are-growing-as-romania-bans-grain-exports

We tried to ban exports of grain ,but stupid EU intervened...
Not just the essentials that you give out. The price of virgin plastic beads for the production of household goods has also nearly doubled compared to the previous year. High inflation is something each of us needs to prepare for!

Have you heard the term Inflation before? It simple means more money has been printed every year while adds more in the circulating supply as a result of this the purchasing power of your money is going down every year.

According to the Keynesian theory, printing money will cause inflation. But according to Michael Hudson, an expert on Modern Monetary Theory (MMT), money printing does not always end in inflation as long as money printing is not used to pump demand through direct cash assistance, but money is printed to increase production or money is printed based on layered projects such as in China. The project itself should be independent, free from imported raw materials, free from foreign workers, and must be in the manufacturing industry sector, not in the service or trading sector.

The goal is a rotating economy, when the industry moves, purchasing power will be maintained, economic growth will occur and people's welfare will increase. So at times like this, the government of each industrial sector country can absorb a lot of labor so that it can boost domestic consumption figures and support the national economy when the global supply chain has not returned to normal, due to the pandemic which has hampered the export-import process.

Keynesian economic theory applies here because one, we already have the data available and that inflation currently exists in the US, but two, the funds that were being pumped out by the federal government were funds that were going to be torched the moment they hit people's bank accounts. Example - you have small businesses that took PPP loans and kept their staff on payroll, only for the restaurant/bar/pub to close down some number of months later. Is that loan money ever going to be paid back? Nope. So you have the government giving out loans to businesses that will never pay them back, handing millions of people unconditional 2k checks, and bailing out poorly run states so they can fund their social programs.

We know what the obvious result would be, yet some politicians seem keen on keeping the status quo of more reckless spending.

This is not even getting to the problem of a labor shortage, which will ofc increase the scarcity of commodities.

So government is doing nothing here, they are just moving the burden of business people to their citizen which is going to affect the business later for sure. Even US has such tragic scenario then compare what is happening in third world countries where government doesn't even give any stimuls but still increasing the tax rates for every goods to increase their medical infrastructure.

In my country Bangladesh price of food growing every day even Evey hour.  Due to some political issues, corruption and instabilities of politics, poverty and nature clasters responsible for food price hikes.

It's horrible. The worst thing in such a situation is that the ordinary population suffers because of greed and the struggle for power of bastard officials.
What should ordinary people do at the same time? They sometimes have to become animals in order to survive and feed themselves and their families.

Politics are corrupt and officials will soon be punished by those who are living under their power, they may try to justify and create a flash of justice but when people suffer the consequences and can no longer withstand the economic pressures, they will band together to regain control, quite a few cases of high-ranking officials being handled and investigated by the many demonstrations and streets of the people, especially as these cases become larger, the international court will begin to criticize openly and will take action if other officials do not fix things soon.

I do not think. In order for people to have against those who are managed by them, they must walk to the edge, until the moment they have nothing to lose, until then they can endure anything.
For the movement of human masses, a very strong catalyst is needed, a match that will set up everything.

History shows us that there are two main reasons that lead common people to revolt, although you may argue that some cultures are naturally more rebellious. The first reason is a reasonable certainty that they are going to succeed easily, thus the risk is low and the motivation to go ahead is high. An the second one, as mentioned, is having so little to loose that it is simply worth the risk. Even if unsuccessful, the result is not going to be much worse than the actual situation.

The second one is normally quite desperate a less prone to succeed. The fact that prices go up beyond measure and life becomes difficult may bring unrest but rarely change governments.

The increase in crude oil prices will have a big impact elsewhere, as it increases the prices of electricity, transport, fertilizer.etc. And in the last few months, the oil prices have almost doubled. The impact will ultimately be felt in the agricultural sector, although there is a chance that the prices will remain at current levels for some more time due to the pandemic. And with the Biden regime installed for the next 4 years, I won't be surprised if the crude oil prices once again climb to three digits in the near future. That is definitely going to increase the food prices, as well as overall inflation.

Here in my country the main need price such as rice and groceries is stable, vegetables and meats slighty down, this is because the government policy that allow us to export it from our neighbour, few farmer complaint about it, because this is harvest season for local. I am not expert in economy strategy, but i think the exporting policy of our government will kill our farmers slowly.

Mainly due to the increase in the prices of edible oil sugar and cereals at the international level, the overall price of food has gone up the corona crisis has also eroded food grain production. the supply is getting less in particular its effects on edible oils are evident and because of which food has become expensive. But now food prices are much cooler prices are falling to open everything slowly.

The COVID-19 pandemic is enough to disrupt the world economy, all sectors are affected, the government is always racking its brains to overcome this problem.  prices of goods rose, while human incomes decreased due to layoffs because many factories had to close.  Hopefully this pandemic will end soon, the economy will grow back to normal.

When i have time i go to local market to check prices
...

I can say similar things from Germany. So it is not a doubling of prices. With meat dishes, it is 15-35% price increase in good restaurants and I think that's right, if the quality fits. And I already say: if you don't increase prices, you save on quality or staff, and that doesn't last long. Many people still look only at the price and are not really intelligent and ask what they get for the price.

good to see now that prices of foods almost return to normal though still high compared before the pandemic happens.

canned goods increased by almost 30% and also packed foods , though fresh goods changes from time to time depend on the season.

Thank inflation for that and the increase of population, our resources are slowly depleting and it can't keep up because we are just too good at reproduction of humans and at the same time killing our environment. If we continue like this, we will eventually reach a tipping point where scarcity becomes athing that an everyday person would experience.

In my country because of pandemic, food prices increased some percentage but not doubled. Although many people have difficulty caused of this pandemic and every areas implements lockdowns, others may capable to buy foods at the current price. Mostly, meat  always the number one to increase the price depends on the availability of supply in the market. Hopefully this pandemic will end soon so that we can go back to our normal life and to recover our economy.

Prices in my country are currently still normal, basic needs, vegetable prices are still relatively standard as usual. It's just that the problem in our country is about the endless handling of covid.

If not for privacy, I would love to know your country because an average developed country is still struggling with inflation, I don't know how your country managed to keep down the price of food and items.
My country is now even worse to talk about the price of goods and food. The price of usd against my local country was so bad that it became difficult to get hands on dollar but it has now stabilized, thanks to central bank new policy that drop drastically that average it price though food items never comes down because anything about food that goes up here never comes down.

Even pandemic didn't happen these needs would mostly be still ending up on having some increase because we know that resources had increase their value as well.

IF we do try to observe and make out some comparison in between those goods and things about its value increasing each year then these movements wont really be that shocking thing anymore

specially food where livestocks etc. would becoming more expensive as their food and other needs had increased as well which its normal that they would be patching up basing on what they have able to use or adding up on the expense.

Majority would be finding this as a big problem but not for those who are financially capable on where they can buy things if they do like without any problems.

Here in my country, the only food item which witnessed an increase in price is chicken. Other items have remained largely stable - other meats, fruits, vegetables.etc. And here we import most of the foodstuff and therefore if there was a global increase in food prices, then it should be first felt here. But I am yet to notice any such thing. However, as a result of the crude oil prices going up, overall the retail prices are increasing everywhere. And if your national currency is weak, then it will amplify the impact.

Hopefully this pandemic will end soon so that we can go back to our normal life and to recover our economy.

I'm not really keeping track of prices in the long term, I do observe them when I'm shopping but not monitoring them. However, here in Greece, I've noticed an increase in price in snacks (Chips etc.) and beverages (Soft drinks, tea etc.) and a few other hygiene related stuff (a few shampoos' I noticed). It's really frustrating that now with the pandemic and the quarantine measures, that prices are increasing instead of decreasing.

At the same time, wages have gone down, while the job market is hideous and full of exploitation.

Rising crude oil prices will affect most other staples, global crude is up more than 4% during the pandemic and if crude oil prices strengthen then buying groceries will be more expensive. We have been struggling during the pandemic in the last 2 years and hope the pandemic will end soon.

4%? I don't think so. Crude oil was trading at $48 per barrel at the start of this year. And a few weeks back, it had climbed to $75 per barrel. Oil importing nations are witnessing a rise in Consumer Price Index (CPI) without any exception. But these countries should blame themselves first. Very few of them accumulated oil, when it was trading at $35-$40 per barrel last year. Even major oil importers like India failed to increase their crude oil reserves significantly. Now the common people are paying for the mistakes of the government.

same with my country , all go up sometimes even unreasonable , once the price of 1 bunch of spinach 0.8$ ordinary 0.2$
maybe one of the effects of the pandemic and the prolonged lockdown in my country and insufficient food stocks in some places. Food transportation from agricultural or production companies is hampered to distribute stock efect prom lockdown
