Looks like we will be having another golden year what you think guys?

Look how the Defi based projects dominates the market this past weeks or months and now still on the road to success.

yeah mate thats what i think too but its not about defi but its all about the pump of btc  . by the time btc start moving from 10k , the price starting to increase all the time althought its not that high but it was a good run becuase the price didnt return to 10k or under than that again .

currently the price was playing between 13k and 14k  .

november is when btc starts another check point and then for the main event which was going to happen on december , all coins are definetly going to join the bull ride  .
"In a nutshell, the network works like a distributed timestamp server, stamping the first transaction to spend a coin. It takes advantage of the nature of information being easy to spread but hard to stifle." -- Satoshi

Most of the project , coins and many investors earned a lot of money in the year 2017 because the bull market happened even I experienced also to earn more money . But 2018 and 2019 is not good for us because the rpice is continue decreasing but when 2020 entered we have hope and it will happened right now we can back or better the price the value of the crypto and we can create again another golden year for the crypto if we reallly want .

There was a bull run in 2017, but it was not sustainable. Many of the smaller projects went up by 100x or 200x, but they were unable to keep the hype alive. Also, there were incidents, when some of the teams received unexpected windfall and after that they vanished with all that money. If a similar bull run happens in the future, I just hope that it will be sustainable.

With the 4 years cycle (as many peoples believe) maybe 2021 will be a golden year. But the problem here is crypto has been quite widely known, which means how it can happen when everyone are waiting for it.
Now many people pay attention to the "4 years cycle", but if everything was so simple and easy to calculate, then there would be much more well-off people in crypto space

2017 began as a bullish year for Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies on the market. I remember when BTC went from $1k to almost $20k in just 2017 alone. That's a massive price increase never before seen in the history of crypto. During that time, new projects started to rise with ambitions to make our world a better place. ICOs where a big hit, followed by Bitcoin-based forks like Bitcoin Cash and Bitcoin Gold. Many who invested prior to the bull market of 2017, have made exponential gains in a short amount of time. It was crypto's best moment as it went into the mainstream so quickly.

Once 2018 started, prices for major cryptocurrencies went all the way down the drain. Governments imposed heavy-handed regulations against ICOs, reducing the demand for ETH and its tokens on the market. At the same time, some countries banned crypto from being used by their citizens. Many negative events happened in 2018, which stifled crypto's growth in the mainstream world. Then came 2019 that was almost the same as 2018, and now it's 2020 where people are starting to buy crypto once more because of the negative effects of COVID-19 on the mainstream economy. Yet, Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies are still behind their latest ATH  (All-Time-High) in price. With BTC's Third Halving , prices should've been within the $15k range by now. Still, crypto is not the same as it used to be back in 2017.

Do you think that 2017 was the "Golden Year of Crypto"? Or is the best is yet to come? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Smiley

Why was bitcoin "supposed" to be any price after halving.  2017 was certainly a good year but there were other years that were good too.  I dont know what you mean by golden years, but if after only 8 years crypto hit its golden age already were are in trouble lol.  People make too much of these short term highs and lows.

Yes Q4 of 2017 and Q1 of 2018 was the golden year for crypto. We have seen many records on that year. Every single coin pump a lot that time. But this is not the end. I believe we will see this type of Golden year very soon again.

In 2017, the crypto market was only just beginning to create products on the Ethereum smart contract platform.
People are curious about Bitcoin right now, the number of Bitcoin searches has soared during this time, individual investors and hedge funds are looking to Bitcoin and ICOs. It is these factors that make Bitcoin and many other cryptocurrencies increase in value. I think the bull run is like a big bubble. Then everyone lost money because of the bubble burst.

Currently, old projects have specific products after they have ICOs from 2017, some projects are dead, that's how selective markets are. This is a golden time when the crypto market naturally develops in terms of project value and quality.

This year was the start for many guys as they simply decided that cryptocurrencies would make them rich. That was the year of the highest crypto jump, and not the golden age. Meanwhile, 2017 really changed the life of thousands, and it people definitely started to live better.

If there is a golden year for the entire market in all aspects, we saw much bigger scams during that period and no one should forget those, including ICO scams where millions of dollars are duped and then there were the ponzi coins who had much support from some sections of the community. If you are expecting another golden year expect the scams popping up left and right and we are seeing those signs with DeFi scams.

Many people do already labeled 2017 as the "Golden Year of Crypto". Maybe because bitcoin's market price reached 20k USD and it serves as the start of the crypto revolution in altcoins through the ICO's and many project launches. But what I see here is not a Golden Year of Crypto, the following year in 2018 based on my experience was full of news about scam projects, many people also distrust BTC and crypto. So a golden year with this outcome is not a golden year at all.

Perhaps, the date when bitcoin was launch I think was the "golden year" since bitcoin started all of this including all the positive and negative that happened and will going to happen in the crypto space.

"2017 was a golden year for me when I know crypto".  in 2017 my life changed drastically 180%, lot of a good ICO project paid a lot..  at that time I thought that I hope the dive will be like this (continues to get good pay from the bounty program) but Q3 2018 everything started to change many projects were a scam and it was the worst moment for all hunters.  2017 has been a memory, I continue to hope that the moment of 2017 (the best crypto year) will repeat itself..

As the market matures, the buble growth like 2017 will be difficult to repeat. The market will grow more stably. But I think now is the right time for truly visionary value investors.

Yes from beginning of BTC market to till i can say 2017 year was the golden year for BTC market as well as crypto market. It was my opportunities that i engaged in year 2017 and i saw that time BTC market which made me surprised also. Though in nCOVID situation in this year market going high but i think that will not be like 2017 and we have to wail many days for that price.

thanks.

for me it is 2017 the golden year of the crypto world because in my opinion that's the peak year for people to know crypto and cryptocurency news has become a hot topic, especially since btc has ballooned and alt coin is still stable
including the ico token token there are still a few which are scam more delicious when you become a bounty hunter in 2017, including airdrops whose system still uses google form
but when 2018 onwards there were many declines and in 2020 there were also many new systems but still not as busy as in 2017

Yes. It was the best year or lets say best performing year for the crypto market when we saw crypto market cap increasing to huge numbers.
But the thing is that not many were able to take profit from such a big run so i hope this time around it will be better.

Personally I think that's true, because at that time there were so many events and campaigns that really made a lot of money, unlike this time or the year before where the bullshit and utterly disgusting projects were rampant. But in general I think cryptocurrencies are getting better every year even though there are times when the situation is really tough

Yes, but we know that the wealth is often not for the majority. So I don't think history will repeat itself, and maybe we will see a new trend, or or the market will still be volatile a lot before actually entering the bull cycle.
I agree with you, people tend not to want to learn from other people's mistakes. And not everyone learns from their own. And if there is another bull run, then few people will delve into the essence of new projects, and what will happen in the end, we have already seen))

I agree.  The amount of foolishness combined with greed will be hard to duplicate.  There was a large injection of new dead money that fed the markets too.  Complete scam coins blew up even when people knew they were scams.  I honestly hope there isn't another 2017 it only is bound to follow with a crashing dump which puts a black eye on crypto

We are half away from the last golden year. 409 billion coinmarketcap isn't low enough. Next year will be the next bullrun for cryptocurrency. Cryptocurrency will dump again after the next bullrun. I don't believe only for some hype crypto fell down in 2017. The massive fall reason is the correction. This correction was forced to fail all of the scam projects.
i am believe next year will be great year for cryptocurrency moreoverin few days ago i see news that said biggest bank in Singapore open serives for cryptocurrency trading. it will attract new investors from bank customer and make market capitalization increase alot.its normal after massive pump will dump, investors that already get profit will liquidate transaction to take profit. and again whales will take action to get lower price by spreading fud.

For me it is and until we have another all time high, 2017 is the Golden Year Of Cryptocurrency, we have a lot to lesson here in 2017 not all that shining can be considered gold, and you should look further and not only on hype Cryptocurrency back then are full of deception that is why after 2017 so many investors lose a lot of money because they take the bait on what developers are offering without looking further.

2017 is indeed the best year of the "Golden Year of Crypto" which may not be repeated, because in 2017 when calculated with the income or profits that are obtained, it is very different from the following years which are very minimal, and I hope that the best "Golden Year of Crypto" will come back in the future.
