I believe Conor is fighting Pac for money and additional fame. Though we know, the bottomline of this fight is all about the money. Yet, it is still interesting to see these 2 fighters inside the ring. Maybe for entertainment purposes because we all know who's gonna have the edge inside. Are we really going to see a toe-to-toe fight here?

If this will indeed happen, sportsbooks will easily pick up this match. Another upcoming money-maker for bookies.

I would say Conor will fight to promote his products (whiskey and clothes brands). Additional fame - he is famous enough already (btw how fame could be measured?). Money - yes and no. He has not big need in money I suppose, yet still there is never enough of them. Probably he is just fulfilling some kind of contract.

As a Manny Pacquiao fan, of course I am quite excited to hear the news that Manny will be boxing against Conor McGregor.
I won't miss this match, not because McGregor is a strong opponent. But I am always entertained by Manny Pacquiao's
boxing style, and I'm also sure Manny Pacquiao will beat McGregor easily. Even veteran boxing coach Freddie Roach predicts
McGregor will only hold out 2 rounds against Manny Pacquiao.

Unfortunately, in boxing, a lot is decided "behind the scenes" and I saw many fights that were supposed to last a maximum of two rounds, but all rounds were held. This is due to the interests of companies that buy the rights to conduct and broadcast the fight, they motivate boxers (in various ways, but mainly financially) to prolong the fight even if someone has a big advantage and is able to end the fight immediately.

He is a real Hero of the Filipino, imagine, this would affect his legacy as a boxer and yet he is willing to take the fight to donate the earnings to the Filipino.
We are talking of not less than $100 million dollars here the fight will generate if the expectation is correct, so that's already a big help.

There's nothing to discuss on who will win as it's so obviously but we can always discuss the reason or purpose why Manny would fight Conor.

Money is not just involved in this fight. Money is the center or even everything in this fight. There is nothing other than this. The rest are for marketing purposes or things to make this fight worthy. Because if they don't include those factors, this fight is not worth staging.

Manny Pacquiao always shares a portion of his cut to others whether in the form of a donation to a charity or actual help or goods extended or distributed by himself. This is not the story of this match. Manny could fight any real boxer, a worthy opponent, and still gives the same amount to others in the end.

The story of this match is about the hall of famer fighting against a worthless loudmouth of an opponent who proved nothing inside the ring to give him a chance to fight.

And, I agree, this will be an easy money. Pacquiao is a different animal than Floyd. If McGregor gassed out in the late rounds during the Mayweather fight, for sure he'll even gas out more early when he's fighting with Pacquiao.

We are seeing odds because that's gambling business. If sportsbooks will not give any odds, how can they earn money from this lucrative fight? So even if we have the obvious winner, they need to put up those odds for the gamblers. After all, we are talking money business here, right?

Sportsbook give odds but it has nothing to do with how the fighter are paid to fight, otherwise there's a conflict of interest and the fight could be rigged.

If this fight is really gonna happen, then the result is already crystal clear, Manny Paquiao would win. Conor is a mixed martial artist, meaning punching is not his expertise so in a boxing match, the odds will be in Manny Paquiao surely.

McGregor is a very talented fighter and he do have a good chance in this fight. It is up to you guys to decide whether you want to risk $100, just for $10. IMO, the risk is too high and the potential returns are too low.

That odds is very fair to me. What do you expect from McGregor? He is no boxer. He's got 0-1 in boxing. And he was totally dominated by Mayweather in his first boxing match. He's got TKOed. And to think that Mayweather is not a volume puncher like Manny Pacquiao.

McGregor is a talented fighter but as an MMA fighter and not as a boxer. He doesn't know the technicalities inside the ring. He's feared inside the octagon but never inside the ring. So I don't agree with you that he has a good chance in this fight. The odds speak for itself. With that odds, it says he's got no chance against Manny.

More than 10% of return is not low if you are sure enough that it's a one sided fight, and it's what would really happen here, though it's just an exhibition fight, I just doubt Conor McGregor could even win one round.
