@JollyGood I’m not sure why you thought that Djokovic would loose this match, because he’s had an amazing streak in 2020, hence there was no way he would have lost this match. Furthermore Djokovic has won this match comfortably, and now like you’ll I'm eagerly waiting for his clash with Nadal (if that happens), but in that match I’ll be rooting for Nadal to beat Djokovic.

Khachanov already beat Djokovic in the Paris Masters Final to become champion that is why I said it. Khachanov certainly has the game to be a regular quarter-finalist at Grand Slams at least. On his day today Djokovic was too good for him.

Rafael Nadal is the king of clay but i doubt he is completely fit coming into the French Open and on the other hand Novak Djokovic is in good touch and all the controversies surrounded him outside of the tennis court and the exit because of a silly mistake in the US open will motivate him to win the French open and it will be a classic if both are injury free.

Today the last finalists have there quarterfinal matches, when Nadal and Thiem win than we see the last year final. But Rolland-Garros is like Nadals living room and is very hard to beat him so i think when today Nadal and Thiem win, Thiem will pull the shorter one again this year, he also had the harder matches so far. And the Final will probably Nadal vs. Djokovic.

Nadal looks invincible, but so does Djokovic... and something has to give. I would still bet on Nadal, just because it's the French. If it was anywhere else, or just not on clay, then Djokovic would be the clear favourite.

Nadal in invincible and I don't think anyone would stand in is way. No one even came close to duex him let alone win a set against. The french open has for some years revolving around Nadal, Thiem and Djokovic. As Thiem too had an impressive performance, loosing a set only against Gatson, he could be a larger challenge to Nadal than Djokovic. But Nadal have an much impressive run and looks undefetable on clay. No chance for Djokovic as well, Theim could have easily beaten Djokovic if they had met on semis.

That's right but for all two, a very long, intense and already exhausting game today. The final outcome is still uncertain, Thiem currently only has a small advantage over Schwarzman. I'm already looking forward to Nadal's game, 3 set game or can the young Italian surprise?

Nadal and Djokovic are definitely the favourites to my opinion. The thing that might go to Nadal's favour is the fact that at the moment Djokovic isn't so well prepared in psychological sense and he had some issues recently so that might be crucial for him. But everything is still open.

Diego Schwartzman beats Dominic Thiem  7-6 (7-1) 5-7 6-7 (6-8) 7-6 (7-5) 6-2

Schwartzman is through to the semi-final. What an epic match lasting over 5 hours.

I dont know how many clay games Serena Williams have won but I understand most of her winning her through hard court. However, you seems not to understand that for her to hold the title of winning the most singles women's matches mean she had gone through different surface games and about her performance after the pregnancy is normal cause every woman give a part of herself to her baby.
In this year's French open, she had a strong point if the injury does not happen to her.

Exactly the point you are missing, if you are betting on an event you need to understand their strength and weakness, where is the strong point for Serena Williams to win the French Open when clay is not her strong hold. I am not undermining her as a player but if you are betting on an individual get rid of the emotions and strictly focus on her performance if your plan is to win bets  .

Diego Schwartzman prevailed in the end, it was really competitive for 4 sets and Dominic Thiem lost it completely in the fifth round.

Nadal beats Sinner 7-6 (7-4) 6-4 6-1 to reach the semi-finals of the French Open. He will play against Diego Schwartzman. Has never lost a French Open semi-final or final. This will be an interesting game to watch.

I also see this and see it the way you do, Thiem make more matches and sets the last days/weeks and looks from the beginning tired. He still wanted to win the 4th set, in the 5th one saw that the strength and lust wasn't there anymore. So also with the last ball, somehow he didn't care about the last ball.

Djokovic hasn't lost a set yet either. I've just counted back, he's lost 25 games in 4 matches, so roughly equivalent to winning every set 6-2 across those 4 matches - or a double-break each time.

Obviously the opponents get somewhat tougher as the rounds progress. Now that Thiem is out, Djokovic looks to have the slightly tougher route to the final, which should give Nadal the advantage for when they inevitably meet up.

I don't think that Nadal will have a tougher route though. He will be facing Diego Schwartzman, the man who beat Dominic Thiem it a classic five set thriller.  He had beaten a two time runner up against Nadal in two years, so it won't be that easy for Nadal.

So let us see if Nadal could continue without dropping a set against Schwartzman, but he should be wary about Diego here.

During the post-match conference, Nadal talked highly about Schwartzman’s performance and admitted that the Argentine defeated one of the best players in the world. Thiem has been the runner-up at the French Open successively for the last two years and even won the US Open last month.

“Of course, is a challenge. When you lost to somebody, is because he’s playing well. Today he played an amazing match against one of the best players of the world, without a doubt, especially on this surface.” said Nadal.

On the contrary, Djokovic might be the one having an an easy route, if he beats Carreno-Busta, he will be facing either Rublev or Tsitsipas, in which Djokovic has an advantage H2H on Tsitsipas. As for Rublev though they haven't face each other, but nevertheless, I would say he has the advantage as well.

Tsitsipas vs Rublev live right now. It seems  Tsitsipas better placed then the adversary he has won the first set recovering from a break point.
Personally I see the Greek player in advantage for this match, I am bullish on it.
Meanwhile Djokovic should have a very easy game today against Carreno-Busta...

Clay may not be her stronghold but she had won many clay game even in this tournament either and she was three times the winner of the French open if I could remember correctly. Besides, the Iga Świątek and N. Podoroska qualification for the Semis is enough to show that Serena have better chance in this year French open if nothing happens to her.

Thiem really misses his chance, lets how Schwartzman will play when he faces Nadal.
