Is that the right way to reindex and txindex the chain?

bitcoind.exe -reindex -txindex=1

Yes, that's correct. You can also set txindex=1 in the bitcoin.conf file and start bitcoind with -reindex.

hmm, When i open the gui.exe now, it doesn't bring an error, but the wallet is just the frontpage of the homepage. Nothing about any CHA there. Please help^^

What if you click on the "Wallet" tab on the top? Once you are on the "Wallet" page, you should see the message "Chancecoin is up to speed. Chancecoin has finished processing 29XXXX out of 29XXXX Bitcoin blocks". One way you can test that everything is set up correctly is to type in your Bitcoin address under Balance section and click on Get Balance to check your Chancecoin balance.

Ok now it looks like something works. But it stopped at:

Chancecoin is not finished synchronizing. Chancecoin has finished processing 292091 out of 294065 Bitcoin blocks.

Doesn't do anything from there on out!

If you click on the "Casino" tab and then click back on the "Wallet" tab, the message should refresh and say "Chancecoin has finished processing 29XXXX out of 294065 Bitcoin blocks" where 29XXXX is bigger than before. In that case you just need to wait a bit till the Chancecoin is up to speed.

The out of XXXXXX Bitcoin blocks updates, but the "has finished processing XXXXXX doesnt change anymore, it did at the start though...

Burning with a Bitcoin client

To burn with a Bitcoin client, simply send the amount of BTC you want to burn to 1ChancecoinXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXZELUFD. As long as one of the outputs is 1ChancecoinXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXZELUFD, the burn will be credited to the first input address.

I want to ask if I can use multibit ,use this Bitcoin client to burn btc?

I can't believe you are encouraging people to BURN BITCOINS on your parasitic project.

So, a web client like the counterwallet website for XCP is very important for this Chancecoin to be accepted and be played by more people.

So you are just going to act as a leech on the counterparty project? Taking their updates and fixes without contributing at all?

Try restarting the program, and see if the 29XXXX keeps updating from there.

At the current rate of block generation (with some blocks being generated sometimes 7 minutes after the last), I'd guess that we'll reach the final block for burning between the 23rd of this month and the 2nd of May. What happens if only a miniscule amount of Chancecoins are created in the burn period? I propose indefinitely extending the burn period until you guys reach a minimum amount of CHA you're both comfortable on starting the project with. At the current rate, it doesn't even look like a million coins will be created.

Changing the burn period would harm the integrity of the coin, so we are not willing to change the burn period. The coins are divisible to the hundred millionths of a coin, so even if there are only 25,000 CHA in existence, that's still enough for the Chancecoin casino to operate.

I agree, the amount doesnt matter too much.

Also, do you know what the issue could be?
I work within a VM on a tinyXP Windows. The blockchain is uptodate and it is txindex=1 with a rescan.
When i delete the DB of chancecoin it starts downloading up to the block XXXXXX and always stops at exactely this block.

What trouble shooting can i do?
