Everything is unstable as long as there is a pandemic. Businesses halted operations due to supply problems. Supplies for a specific business takes too long to arrive beacuse of the tight security and of course shipment crews needs to be quarantined everytime they cross borders. That is why small businesses are affected and we workers as well. I know the only thing that will help me survive this crisis is cryptocurrency that is why I am active here again because fiat had failed me.
What is your story with fiat and cryptocurrency during pandemic? This is again the battle of centralized and decentralized assets and activity in the middle of a crisis. In your own experiences and opinion which of the two will win?
Fiat will definitely fail us once more as they print more out of thin air with the pandemic as an excuse. Once again, they are punishing savers. One hit we definitely took is that people are spending less now due to fear. Everyone wants to earn but nobody wants to spend so if you're in retail you definitely get less sale. I'm rooting for crypto but I'm not expecting a "win". I just hope that it gain a bit more adoption out of this crisis.

The COVID 19 pandemic and US government policies kept my friend from work. The unemployment rate in the US has continuously increased over time. Businesses are dying over time. I think this situation will last until the next stimulus package comes out. My condolences for your work have been taken away but that is the reality and we need to accept that. I believe the world will return to normal soon after there is a vaccine.

Not only you but also many of us lost their real-life job due to the COVID 19. Now think about you only lost your job that can be recovered when all will be normal again but many people have lost their relative, Dad, mom those people never get back them. So don't be sad by thinking that you have lost job, and struggle to move forward. Hope we will win. And all will be OK soon.

Many people have lost their jobs because of this pandemic and others most experiences are worst because of struggling to survive with no food to eat on their table. It is not the fiat have failed you it is the situation that were suffering right now. And one thing, let’s hope for the brighter side despite this situation so hope the vaccine will come out so we can go back to normal days.

It is really hard right now. Most of the teachers are struggling with the new way of teaching since most of them are not that literate with technologies. Some resigned because they teach in private schools and they are no work no pay which is a disadvantage in online classes and with the modules being printed out, they are so expensive.

For the question, who'll win the battle during the pandemic?
It is always the fiat, because the central authorities will backup the market and stabilize to push the economy forward. The same with cryptocurrency won't happen, because the market moves of its own formula of demand to supply.
During the pandemic the growth with cryptocurrency market has peaked high and it keeps bouncing. So, there is much larger percentage of growth with the cryptocurrency which serves as a base for the future growth competing with the traditional fiat system.

We should be thankful if we still keeping the same job after hitting this pandemic if our companies are able to continue doing their business even for sure they are having difficulties. Most of those small to medium companies suffered to the point that they released most of their employees just to survive. We should continue life instead and try to find ways to get something to feed our families.

Thank God I didn't lose my job and I am doing fine so far but it was something I was afraid of as well, I didn't know how pandemic would have affected by life so I wasn't sure what would happen so I was afraid of it.
I have so many friends who lost their jobs around me as well, and I have people who are getting paid less now as well, our country had a law that said if you agree with a salary beforehand and sign a contract with a worker, you can't force them to take less money even if they would accept, but they removed that, which meant companies could offer you less money and that means if you do not agree they could fire you as well.
This is why there are plenty of friends who lost jobs and also who gets paid less, I was afraid for them as well because it was a tough situation to find a new job so they might have done very bad.

Yeah life is hard, I am trying to find my luck here again for a gig or bounty to earn something for food and basic needs for my family and even for my neighbors as they are struggling too most especially children that cannot attend online class due to lack of funds. I know we are all affected with this pandemic and the question to this is when will it ends? Maybe vaccines are coming but I am not sure if we from third world countries will have it. Economies may continue to cripple as cases are still going up. There is no rich or poor in this thing and maybe losing my job is much better than losing my life so I am still thankful and instead of losing hope maybe I will find some ways for me and my family to survive. I am lucky enough to be here with you guys because you gave us ideas, advice and of course hope. Thank you so much I appreciate it.

There's a lot of ways to earn amidst this pandemic like doing freelance work that related to your profession. You can try upwork to search for a freelance job that suits your profession. Approximately half of the people in world suffers job loss because most of the business are force close but it doesn't mean that we should stop find ways how to earn because there's a lot of job that you can do online.
In my case, I do online selling of clothes even though my profession is not related on it. My company is still close that's why I decided to venture out on new business. So far my profit on my new business is sufficient to cover daily financial needs. There is always a way to earn money. You just need to step out to your comfort zone and discover a way that will give you a profit.
Thank you for the advice, yes, it's true that I already know Upwork and other freelancer sites. However, to be honest, I'm still confused about what services I can offer. I don't have any special skills, and currently I fill my spare time by taking free online classes that available on google.

Was lucky to be not forced close shop during the entire lockdown period in my country but still, the reduced hours as well as the diminished spending money of people did had an effect. Things kinda picked up a bit once the first round of gov't aid came out but that's still not good enough. Not to mention almost everything got expensive.
I often wonder how differently it would have been had we been using crypto instead of cash at the time. Aside from the fact that they can't just make the money printers go brrr and make our money even more worthless, it might have also cut down transmission a bit.

Cashless payment should be implemented since virus is still there. It will be better and much safer to do so. In my job it was only send now thru our bank accounts unfortunately the working days were lessened to still give many a chance to have work and not be removed in the company. It's work from home and only by schedule where salary is also cut too. But we're still luck considering we knew bitcoin and crypto that we were able atleast to trade or join campaigns when we have time. Let's just make our time worthy despite Pandemic.

Didn't lose my job but my employer also telling me that his funds are getting thinner that he couldn't pay the usual fee because the business is also affected by the pandemic. Everything is affected and a chain of reaction is happening among us.
The pandemic has to be contained first before we will be able to rise up again but this is also the most difficult to do because of politics and people breaking laws.

It has been the story of this tough timing that people are losing jobs they are losing business and some are even losing faith in life. I met a group of people online yesterday to discuss about a meeting and after the meeting was over we were discussing how the pandemic was hurting us and actually everyone of us were feeling so dire and I felt like I am the only one who is suffering. The truth is everyone is suffering, some more than others but everyone is suffering. Some have the power to hide their tears while some are weak and let others know about it.
I did not lost my job but I have been paid a lot less than what I was being paid and it was hard to survive because the expenses are being set since years and it is really hard to cut them but I never felt too upset because I acknowledge the fact that I am still alive while not everyone is as lucky.

First of all I'm sorry that you lost your job OP. I can feel the pain inside of you. This pandemic really made us to feel the worst. I was a content writer on freelance site. But after the pandemic come out my earnings started to decrease. And in May I already become jobless. But by the bless of the God I came back to the forum and got some earnings and started the forum life again. I hope you get a new job soon and help yourself, don't loose hope.

Not only you but in my opinion a lot of people have lost their jobs inside this covid-19. However, many who had previous work skills in the Internet world overcame this problem very easily those. I spent a lot of time in the crypto market from the beginning of covid-19 where in addition to trading I worked on some bounties.

I think the economy needs a blend of centralized and decentralized assets as you name them. In capitalism companies need to have profit in order for the economy to thrive. The economic burdens we suffer from COVID are bad not only for traditionals assets, but cryptocurrencies as well. If people don't have money, they won't buy Bitcoin because they don't have the resources. It's simple as that.

The longest lockdowns is one of the main reasons why economies are failing that results to massive unemployment, glad that slowly businesses are operating again but sad to say that there are lots of establishments are still closed or can’t afford to operate anymore.
There’s always hope despite of the crisis, we just continue to find good opportunities and never surrender.
