You earn merit through your posts. If someone thinks that one of your posts deserve merit, they'll give you one. Think social media likes, but harder to get as your posts need to actually be helpful and constructive. This is something you can't just spam your way into. Also, you need 10 merits and 60 activity for member rank: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2818350.0

Try to create some helpful posts, tips or advice related to crypto, blockchain, etc., with a mindset not expecting some returns. Although a lot would appreciate your post and leave some good comments, you would be lucky if one of them will actually give you a merit for such a helpful and informative post. As for me, I don't focus on merits. I think of it as a bonus. Just start focusing on being helpful to the community, and blessings will come after. Delayed gratification is for real.

It looks like you're still pretty new here. I can suggest you to read the following threads, before you continue to post here: FAQ: Everything you need to know about forum 'activity, account ranks and meritNewbies - Read before postingForum ranks/positions/badges (What do those shiny coins under my name mean?)
Concerning your low merit score I can tell you: Try to work on your post quality. Post less "one-liners" and try to be helpful. If people like your posts or think your posts are helpful/informative they will reward you accordingly. In addition to that I highly suggest you to stop begging for merits, like you did in the post quoted above. To understand why "merit begging" isn't welcome here, see the reference below, which was posted by hilariousandco (Global Moderator of Bitcointalk) some time ago. Can I ask for merit?
There is no need to do this and this behaviour is usually seen as 'merit begging' which is frowned upon by the community and may lead to you receiving negative feedback. Keep making quality, constructive posts and you will surely be rewarded over time.

Be useful/helpful. The fact you are asking for merit - whether you genuinely don't know how to get it or you try to beg for it - means you still have to learn your way around here (and possibly you don't deserve merit yet). Maybe it sounds a bit harsh, but this is a discussion forum. Discuss, learn, grow, help others. Good luck!

The case you’ve been posting about seems to have been going on for a couple of months now, which is certainly unfortunate, but whether it is a particular situation, or a recurring one for more people, is something that seems unclear. There are many scam accusations exposed here. Some get merited, some don’t. It depends on many factors (evidence provided, clearness of event depiction, scope of affected users, etc.). Other than that, read through all the above provided links to get a picture of what sort of post gets merited, or simply browse around and observe it as you go.

Sending these unsolicited PMs might cause temp ban if receivers of those PMs report the problem to forum moderators. The temp ban can be short or long depends on how many unsolicited PMs sender did and how low or how quick sender sent those PMs.

The rank requirements are not the same as before. Theymos made some changes to the rank requirements. January 2018 and years ago, the rank requirements before only require activity points which you can earn easily by posting. As of now, the rank requirements is the same as before but there is an additional requirement and it is merit.

Like at the beginning, you created this account only to complain about those of you who were deceived by the party from the WBET because your funds were suspended.
If you want to get merit, just change your mindset and make a useful and relevant post about everyone with the ideas you share in your post, I'm sure there is no need for merit from others and you will one day get your first merit.
Many of the threads above can reference for you how to contribute to the forum to increase your ranking.

I am hoping that you will read all the advice of our senior members of this forum, those are good advice that may help you to achieve what you want. If you want to acquire more merits then you may visit some profile with a good reputation, look and observe how they receive merits, that is what I am doing whenever I see a member with a good number reputation. I am also amazed at those with merits greater than their posts, it seems like they recevied merit every day. Good luck!
True, this forum is good for having a discussion about cryptocurrency, blockchain and other crypto-related, just focus on your goal, we are here to learn, we can explore many things if we have good knowledge.

It's easy. Just be consistent, post where you really have good opinions to provide. Don't just post for the sake of it because that will make you look like a spammer and you will end up being in ignore lists of people who gives out merits see, this is a vast forum, and you will find there are people who gain many merits every single day because of their knowledge in technology or blockchain and stuff and at the same time, there are many who make very little merits because they don't have much knowledge and opinions to provide, but even then, whatever valuable opinions they provide in context to a topic, helps them gain merits in a steady process. At the end, one will rank up quickly, one will rank slowly, but they both will rank up just stay dedicated, you have your own value and uniqueness!

Well scanning through all previous replies it’s clear enough you have been well advised by old members of the community on how to earn merit and the criteria. You should focus more on creating constructive and meaningful information, that will enhance the activities of the community.
The goal is to educate each other about Cryptocurrency and explore it. Merit is just same as someone liking your post after reading it and finding the information useful. Just like we do on other social media eg Facebook, Instagram, Twitter etc. So the amount of merit you get is in direct proportion to the amounts of reasonable post you have contributed to the community. Okay so keep your mind positive and educate yourself more about Cryptocurrency

It is hard to earn merits and no one will give it to you readily unless you make effort to earn it. If you wanted to earn merits then consider the following threads posted below on which you can earn merits. There are many of these in this section alone but you can also check in your local boards for you to earn some merits. Just try to posts a quality posts like you see in other merited posts. Take time and then follow how they made it to earn merits but do not copy and paste posts of others. It will violate the forum rules which is plagiarism and you will get ban in the forum.

Alas, the old rules about 30 posts no longer apply. For the person who created this topic, this will probably be a big surprise, he does not even suspect that from now on he will have to think a lot with his head and write a lot of "correct" posts)
Anyone who did not have time to board this train on time will now have to buy tickets at a completely different price) I think we will meet more than once those who will be disappointed that the new merit system does not allow you to quickly pump account ranks.

This question has been asked many times and answered many times There is really no secret or mystery here. Share with us your experiences, write something that helps others and you will receive a reward in the merits. What is most important is that it's original content and not a copy or plagiarism.
