seek and ye shall find: 5V  -  45A PSU right now on ebay. $52 usd (exclusive of shipping)

The SHARK 1000W Black Gaming PC ATX

http://www.ebay.com/itm/SHARK-1000W-Black-Gaming-PC-ATX-Power-Supply-120mm-Fan-SATA-SLI-PCI-E-Ready-PSU-/271431655795?pt=PCA_UPS&hash=item3f32966173

The fact remains that the factory told me that this can take 2amps per port safely as the limit. I will wait to see what feedback we get from consumers when these are actually tested.

I would love to see bigger photos of these two.  I see 1 big heat sink off the usb port branching to 7 big heatsinks.

I believe that would be the usb  controller chips.

I see 4 filter caps from the 24 pin out.  after the filter caps I see no voltage regulator or converter chips.

so I have to think it just uses the 5 volt lines and no more.

I do think this hub is perfect for a grid seed/ nano fury/bi fury mix

LOL….
Before we start handing out accolades for quality
Can I clarify something  once and for all, the 19 PORT DIPO hubs that were 'sold' were actually from a batch that was TESTED, Inspected  and REWORKED by ME!!

RF

really now? that is the first i have ever heard of this... anyway I think I will let the product speak for itself. I have sent some samples to Felipeo and he will be posting a review. Everyone knows that bi-furies use a lot of juice so lets see how they handle his miners
LOL……….

Well since you have now made it a question of my Integrity on this forum….
The first you have 'heard' of this… well yes I suppose so because the correspondence was written or texed, so technically you 'read' it not 'heard' it, for god sake just man up there is no shame in admitting it.

For the record
If I had not checked and spent several days reworking those 19-port DIPO hubs that you sold on this forum, you my forgetful friend would have been royally FUCKED…

That is simply not true. You can get high and mighty all you like but you have never shared with me any information about how you "reworked" the 19 port hubs as you say. So why don't you be specific and explain to everyone on this forum and myself included. All you ever did was get new power cables sent because the first batch was defective. That hardly counts as reworking. In fact you told me that the hubs were of very high quality and needed no extra work. This is a case of blatant manipulation. If you look back on RF's posts you will see he has a habit jumping in on my threads and saying random crap.

Also seeing as you want to pull up personal info for everyone to see...we parted ways because you couldn't setup a simple website and operate it properly...have you forgotten the paypal split payment fiasco? I told you to contact paypal and speak to them about it and 5 weeks later it was still not working and finally you realised that you should have contacted them to begin with. Or the time i gave you a WORKING blue fury miner (by accident, i thought it was DOA unit sent back) and after all your "tests" you were convinced that it didn't work. Yeah this guy is some sort of genius but he can't get a simple usb miner to work that fucking works.

Piss off RF, this thread is for people who are interested in buying the 49 port hub. Not for them to listen to you whine like a little bitch.

The first 4 caps are 16v 470uf capacitors, the second set are 16v 100uf (Chong X), each usb port also has one (16v 100uf), appears to be 8 usb controller chips as well

OK…..
So here we are, after my last post  clarifying the situation:

Show and tell
1. Further mis-representations: If someone came to you and asked you to setup a  system using PP split-payment API, where they received 50% of the money for physical goods they did not ship… how long would it take 'you' to setup such a potentially fraudulent system, or would you just keep dragging it out with excuses?
2. Would you setup a website on a domain name and server controlled  by a guy you only just met, who openly boasted about HOW he fucked his 'book selling ' partner over and wanted to setup a 'limited liability company in Hong Kong' with you…. ?

Personal character
2. Harassing phone calls to my mobile phone, sometimes as many as 5 a minute, because  the curtain has been pulled back in OZ.
3. A definition of what "rework" means http://scn.sap.com/people/rupesh.brahmankar3/blog/2013/07/06/rework-in-manufacturing
for those who don't understand the difference between 'rework" and Having to open, inspect, remove, repackage and test cable sets then having to completely repack goods.
4. Offensive pm's + Further falsifications (it is the first I heard….), then WHY did you state it was TRUE in your PM). (see below)

fuck off out of my thread. It is for people interested in buying the hub not for you to whine like a fag, Mr Steve Green you fucking cunt.

You never reworked that shit or at least you never told me. You told me that they were in fact in good condition. All you ever got were new cables.

6. Yep the 'blue fury', go read up interview techniques and evaluating potential business partners, with this simple but effective test I get a complete breakdown of a persons 'claimed' area of expertise.(I could just have used google!!)
Did it NEVER enter your thought processes of how at 21 I was the technical director of an electronics company turning over $20million a year If I was such a 'fuckwit" with electronics?
Correctable traits
7. A complete inability to articulate conversations as an adult, with valid point of contention.
8. A complete inability to get my name right..
9. The use of 'shill' accounts to promote himself in his own threads.

AGAIN I will state this:

Quote
Sour grapes….
There was a parting of the ways due to your 'business ethics' that is all, I also have the right to dispute any false statements to protect my reputation.

I think with each passing day, this conversation justifies my decision.

Rework Production Order-Stock-Procured material

This scenario is executed when material which are bought out from vendor are found faulty. These materials rather sending back to vendor for corrections are done rework in manufacturing unit itself.

http://scn.sap.com/people/rupesh.brahmankar3/blog/2013/07/06/rework-in-manufacturing

What did you mend on the hubs? Why are you avoiding the question. My message says clearly that you never told, wrote, mind melded , etc any info about reworking the hubs to me. You did look at them because we bought them together and you did say that they were good. So did I.

Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

You still have NOT said what "rework" you did on them.

I won't be replying or speaking to you any more. I only have one account on here by the way and no shill accounts so i think it would be amusing for you to point them out. Therefore this is my LAST message, I CHALLENGE you point out my "shill" accounts. Everyone will see that you can't and that you are in fact full of sh##!

The End.

Also, I'm a bit confused - does Razorfishsl have any involvement in this sale?
nope nothing at all...just some old partner who has a case of sour grapes

From the tone of it, sounds like razorfishsl is doing a bit of harassing...
My personal trade experience with klintay was positive, and the 19-porter that I got from him is still happily hosting 15 Ants, 3 BEs and 1 fan, 24/7.

klintay, might I suggest you start a reputation thread here:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=129.0

Turning the hub on before the PC could possibly create a power surge that MIGHT damage the usb ports on your PC and/or your motherboard, etc.
Turning it off before the PC has turned off might make Windows think the COM ports are still occupied. Then when you go to turn it on again it can't find your miners or your COM ports get maxed out because of COM port controller limitations.

On that note, here is a handy trick to clear your COM ports in Windows:

1. Click start → Run → type regedit and click OK button
2. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\COM Name Arbiter
3. Now on the right panel, you can see the key ComDB. Right-click it and click modify
4. In value Data section select all and delete reset to Zero (0)
5. Its 32 bytes with 8 bits in each byte. A set bit makes a port number (1...256) reserved.
6. Close Registry editor and then restart your computer. all COM ports are now Free, you may need to reinstall any winUSB drivers, usb to serial converter, drivers.

There is another trick, that I outlined here, which is safer (does not involve messing with the registry):
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=300638.0

“Dark times lie ahead of us and there will be a time when we must choose between what is easy and what is right.”
“We are only as strong as we are united, as weak as we are divided.”
“It is important to fight and fight again, and keep fighting, for only then can evil be kept at bay, though never quite eradicated.”

In terms of the ongoing feud evident in this thread, the mention of 'shill' accounts might have been a reference to the comment I made in the old Gridseed GB-thread that klintay had going a few weeks back, professing my willingness to send klintay money.

I hereby declare myself to be a separate human-being from the one we refer to as klintay.

Hope everyone is okay with that.

klintay:

Can you confirm that only the 5V lines are used off the 24 pin connector? If so, wiring up something like this:

would have more power and perhaps less mess. Why pay for 100's of 12V watts when you don't need them.

I bought a 19 port hub from klintay before, I also sold him 20 blue furies (all working.) Or was it 40...

I might get one of these 49 port hubs, but I don't know what to plug into them since I don't have any miners at the moment.

I like the design of the 19 port hub, and it uses 110/220v directly (maybe the PSU is built in the thing, I have not opened it yet.)

klintay, let me know when you have a 130+ port USB hub that gets power from the wall. heheheh.

Using a 49 port AsicMiner Hub running 18 NF2's at 80 Gh/s.
Could go a bit higher, but don't want to push it.

Waiting for this hub.
