This right will be more exciting for both of them, and as many people knew Canelo he's been doing great along of his career in boxing. His fight history is the biggest potential for him to achieve a 100% in winning the fight for Caleb. However, he shouldn't take for granted the capabilities of his opponent because that's certain for their team to study what weaknesses he had. Only one mistakes will only change the progress of his skills in fighting while real game is happening.

This is as close as a cherry pick fight for Canelo. Yes, Caleb is undefeated and a champion but Canelo is just about in his prime and no one from Middleweight to Light Heavyweight that can defeat a version of Canelo right now. Perhaps Andre Ward, there have been talks but I don't know if its going to push through and get Andre out of his retirement.

It's a good decision for him and his team to get out of Golden Boy's contract. He can manage himself right now as he is one of boxing's premier attraction.

I'll probably say it's just for the semantics, not cherry pick but could be an easy fight for him? I wouldn't call Plant technical though, he doesn't have enough movement and I think this will be his downfall against Canelo, because once Canelo put a dent on that chin, it will be over. Although he has that shoulder roll over ala Floyd, I don't think we can call him by copying that move.

Canelo just want to take an easy path, but if fans would choose, they would love to see him fight GGG as they are evenly matched, hence, fun to watch. However, since he already have this fight, I think he needs to take care of the business first then look for a tougher opponent after this.

Fans deserve a better fight, I'm not too familiar who is the heavy contender in his division but a trilogy fight with GGG would be a good treat to the fans as soon triple G would retire since he is not getting any younger. It could be an easy fight for him, but Canelo hasn't fought for over a year and he needs the fight to get in his top killing form after the depressing battle suits that prevent him from fighting, this is a good decision to be a free agent he can pick a fight and make a lot of money, but like the article have said he should be fighting top names, Canelo is going to make a lot of money because he is not tied up to promoters who just made him their cash cow.

Well that is what we are expecting from him, more challenging fight in his weight classes or even higher to show his greatness and to be the true pound for pound in this decade. This is probably another get busy fight for him, at least to clear away the cobwebs as he has been sideline for a long time because of the obvious lockdown.

Probably Canelo will have it by knock out or by unanimous decision, it might not be a shut out though, at Plant can also throw fire with his punches, but Canelo's chin has been tested many times specially in the Kovalev and GGG fight.

He doesn't want tougher opponents I presume. There is no logical reason why he would shy away from a true rival. All the pros are there like bigger PPV and finally settling the score leaving all doubts behind.

Everyone would want to see that, however, the current situation, I think the timing is bad fora mega fight.
If ever they will fight for the 3rd time, most likely that would be their last and I gotta be honest here, though Alvarez is younger, but I would lean on GGG to win.

No doubt, Caleb is the underdog here with only 20 fights, but he is taller and has longer reach. In other words, Caleb is bigger, and perhaps this could also potentially lead to an upset match, just like Lomachenko. The good thing is, middleweight is the natural weight class for Canelo.

I really think that Canelo is just buying time, he knows that time is on his side while it plays against GGG, so if he can delay the fight for another year then their next fight will be easier, we must remember their first match ended in a split draw which was incredibly controversial at the time since I think any boxing fan saw GGG winning that fight, maybe not by a large margin but it was a win nonetheless, and the second fight ended with a majority decision that once again left a lot of people thinking that GGG was robbed.

So I think Canelo is avoiding him until he is completely sure he can beat him now in a clear fashion as the two previous fights have generated a lot of controversy.

It looks like Callum Smith is now also in the running to be Canelo's next opponent. He is a more accomplished fighter than Plant but he his style should be more favorable to Canelo. Having that money for the UK broadcasting rights will probably tip the balance in favor of Smith being the next opponent.
