This right will be more exciting for both of them, and as many people knew Canelo he's been doing great along of his career in boxing. His fight history is the biggest potential for him to achieve a 100% in winning the fight for Caleb. However, he shouldn't take for granted the capabilities of his opponent because that's certain for their team to study what weaknesses he had. Only one mistakes will only change the progress of his skills in fighting while real game is happening.

This is as close as a cherry pick fight for Canelo. Yes, Caleb is undefeated and a champion but Canelo is just about in his prime and no one from Middleweight to Light Heavyweight that can defeat a version of Canelo right now. Perhaps Andre Ward, there have been talks but I don't know if its going to push through and get Andre out of his retirement.

It's a good decision for him and his team to get out of Golden Boy's contract. He can manage himself right now as he is one of boxing's premier attraction.

I'll probably say it's just for the semantics, not cherry pick but could be an easy fight for him? Canelo just want to take an easy path, but if fans would choose, they would love to see him fight GGG as they are evenly matched, hence, fun to watch. However, since he already have this fight, I think he needs to take care of the business first then look for a tougher opponent after this.

Well that is what we are expecting from him, more challenging fight in his weight classes or even higher to show his greatness and to be the true pound for pound in this decade. This is probably another get busy fight for him, at least to clear away the cobwebs as he has been sideline for a long time because of the obvious lockdown.

Probably Canelo will have it by knock out or by unanimous decision, it might not be a shut out though, at Plant can also throw fire with his punches, but Canelo's chin has been tested many times specially in the Kovalev and GGG fight.

I really think that Canelo is just buying time, he knows that time is on his side while it plays against GGG, so if he can delay the fight for another year then their next fight will be easier, we must remember their first match ended in a split draw which was incredibly controversial at the time since I think any boxing fan saw GGG winning that fight, maybe not by a large margin but it was a win nonetheless, and the second fight ended with a majority decision that once again left a lot of people thinking that GGG was robbed.

So I think Canelo is avoiding him until he is completely sure he can beat him now in a clear fashion as the two previous fights have generated a lot of controversy.

He is certainly going for a KO as his stats are telling. 36KO out of 53 fight, that's a huge KO percentage, so it's likely to happen. The odds here that would interest the bettors are the KO odds, as if we only choose who is the winner of the fight, then definitely we won't get a good betting odds for Canelo.

It Callum Smith will the the likely opponent then good for him. As I champion, he needs to make some money now and the Canelo sweepstakes will bring him that, Lol. He has to improve the defense too because so far if he only focuses on the early matches then the opponents in the final matches will take advantage of the golden opportunity to knock down Canelo, so in my opinion don't give even that little to the opponent because this is a golden opportunity for Canelo in his career.

In my opinion Canelo needs to improve the way he begins fights because for what I have seen he starts very slowly and for the most part he loses the first rounds and it is not until the middle of the fight that you begin to see that he gets on rhythm, and while he has been able to get away with it because he's a very heavy puncher that slowly but surely keeps draining the stamina out of their opponents if the fight gets to the final stages most likely he's going to be down on the judge cards and that puts additional pressure on him to perform.

Smith got cut in the eye, that's why he struggled against the underdog Ryder but still he won a close fight in the judges scorecard. I think it was the first time that Smith got cut or at least have to fight with a disadvantage to survived. But with Canelo we do hope that it will be different and make it very competitive and close. And this is what Canelo wants he usually won in close fights or at least when he breaks down his big opponent like in the Kovalev fight. You should watch his high lights in Youtube and I'm sure you will find Smith a decent challenge for Canelo as he is tall as has the reach advantage. Canelo is a good boxer and even has been offered huge money in the contract signing of his career in becoming a pro boxer. Not only that, Canelo already prove its worth in every game he played. Good choice but the seeing the last fight of Callum which was not impressive, i will bet for Canelo. They're professional boxers so usually they know how to deal with someone who isn't their height, and has the height advantage. Its quite typical for a fighter to spar in training camp with boxers similar to the style of their opponent. Personally, I don't think there's much of an impact with height advantage as people try to make out. Of course, it has its factors but being taller than your opponent also leaves you open to certain type of attacks. Mike Tyson in his prime was one of the smaller boxers in terms of height, yet he fought on the inside, and made a massive career out of it. His ducking, weaving style is what made him so dangerous to those that were taller than him, and of course his killer uppercuts.

I think it will be a close fight also. People might think it's easy because Smith struggled against John Ryder in his last fight but it happens sometimes when you fight a lower level opponent it is hard to be motivated and you have a bad night. There's a reason why David Benavidez's promoter had avoided putting him against Smith for as long as possible even though he is owed an opportunity to fight for the WBC title after winning the World Boxing Super Series.

To be honest. i have not followed the career of Smith yet and me living in the East side of the globe has just heard for the first time his name when he is paired with Canelo. You are right, fighting a lower tier boxer won't motivate you to train harder, that's the problem most boxers had. A fight with Canelo could be Smith's career paycheck i believe so better train hard for this one.

He better does, the underdog beating the favourite is not rare at all and it happens way more often than what people believe and there are many factors for that, the first one is that the favourite has a tendency to underestimate his opponent and instead of training and study as hard as he should he takes a lot of free time thinking that it is going to be an easy fight not understanding that at those levels the difference between the champion and the runner-up is not as wide as they believe.

And when it comes to the underdog they see this as an opportunity of a lifetime, because even if they do not win if they are able to put a good fight then most likely they will be able to book other big fights and that can be more than enough to set them for life.

Tyson is different though, he was ahead of his time, and combine that with a one punch knockout, he was one of a kind boxer. Oscar Dela Hoya though, when he was campaigning on the welterweight during his prime, he is taller from most of the boxers at that weight class, so he was again, a combination of fast hands plus his length and reach advantage. So it's really up to Callum on how he takes advantage of it in the first couple of rounds and gauge the distance.

Yes, just like the way they support Hatton during the Pacquaio fight. Really hard to beat Canelo on the scorecards, we have been GGG almost do it, but not enough for the judges scorecard. Who knows, but  yes it's a good advantage for Smith as he's much bigger and he's reach is really

This is as close as a cherry pick fight for Canelo. Yes, Caleb is undefeated and a champion but Canelo is just about in his prime and no one from Middleweight to Light Heavyweight that can defeat a version of Canelo right now. Its quite typical for a fighter to spar in training camp with boxers similar to the style of their opponent. Personally, I don't think there's much of an impact with height advantage as people try to make out. Of course, it has its factors but being taller than your opponent also leaves you open to certain type of attacks. Mike Tyson in his prime was one of the smaller boxers in terms of height, yet he fought on the inside, and made a massive career out of it. His ducking, weaving style is what made him so dangerous to those that were taller than him, and of course his killer uppercuts.

I have always thought of Tyson as an exception rather than the rule, it is true that he was incredible and if it was not for a series of very difficult circumstances for him it is possible his reign at the top of the boxing world would have lasted way longer, however he had all the skills to deal with his short height and even make it an advantage by getting so close to their opponent that their height became a problem, but for the rest that lack his skill and raw talent height difference can be really important especially if the taller boxer is very good at throwing his jab.

I don't think we've seen the best version of Callum either, and there's no way to tell if we'll see either fighter at their best in the up and coming fight. Ohh, this is too much and i disagree with you here. Even if Canelo is the heavy favorite against Smith but the chance of him winning is not zero. In boxing there is always that lucky punch that could turned the fight around and we have seen too many of them in our lifetime. Andy Ruiz vs Joshua, Whyte vs Povetkin, to name a few.

Thanks for posting the link here, this is the fourth time I watched the big boxing events using this website that members are posting, the last one was the Tyson - Jones fight, I like watching here it's very clear and it's in real-time, much better than those posted on Facebook.

Much appreciated for such share.This is my first time on seeing or watching steams into this place and usually ive been looking or watching only on Facebook and other sites which does have bad quality.

About on the fight between Canelo and Smith? Its true that Smith might have the reach but wont really be that simple once they do make out some inside fights.Those jabs or arms would be somewhat useless
and when it comes to infighting then that would really be a real test of stamina and lower body strenght.Does Smith have that much?

Canelo might be small but doesnt mean that he's isnt capable on taking down big guys or taller ones.

Have not pull the trigger yet and have some doubts on whether Smith could withstand Canelo's body shot for 12 rounds or not. I might go for  KO win for Canelo.

Sorry for the late reply, I think it will test Canelo but I doubt that Smith will dealt Alvarez an upset here. Canelo will be too much for Callum and around the mid round he will fold to Canelo's superior body shot and might be KO in round 10. Yes, he has the reach advantage but Canelo will use his movement here, fients, that will confuse Smith and then Canelo with that perfect body shot.

Nice bet mate, good luck. And with GGG winning, I think Canelo will be extra motivated against Callum Smith and proved that he is the best by beating a much live underdog as compare to Szeremeta hehehe.

Again, Smith is taller but give Canelo problems early, but Canelo will figure him out, make adjustments and I'm sure he will throw a lot of body shots here to test Smith.

Well, it is really hard to predict who will win this match, they had the same age and the same weight, though their height has been almost the same but at least just a little gap between them. But I will go into Canelo Alvarez which had many wins compared to his opponent Callum while Alvarez has long proven to be a difficult thing to cover his punching in close fights. However, I don't think someone gives right speculation on this fight, it seems it is hard to decide which better among them.

When was the last time we had a major upset in boxing? Recently, boxing has become a lot more predictable and it is no longer fun to bet on these matches. Canelo prove that he is the bigger guy here, Lol, Callum didn't do anything, or Canelo is too great, both offense and defense as you have said. Hmm I wouldn't say that he is "rust" but more careful in this fight. If you can see Callum Smith is taller compared to Canelo Alvarez and I think this is the first time he fought against a tall boxer like this and there are certain boxing techniques he can't apply in taller boxers because his punches and defense would need to have a different angle in order to land. This is what happened against Pacquiao vs. Margarito where Pacquiao had a hard time landing punches on the earlier round. So at least that is how a view things during that fight, if it weren't for the height disadvantage we won't see this kind of different style with Canelo.

I think he was comparing Canelo to the three fighters because they are also in the discussion for the pound for pound number 1. But with this Canelo's win, he proved that he is way above the rest of the list as he has a better opponents, in short his resume was almost perfect except for that one lost against Floyd wherein he was still very new but a lot of promises when they fought.

So I agree that Canelo should end this year at the top of the list of pound for pound, he seems to have no weaknesses at all, specially his granite chin.

Canelo might just wanted for the fight to last long until the last rounds rather than on finishing it on earlier rounds which wouldnt really seem to be entertaining on his side.
It might sound dumb because lucky punches do happen but the chances of those are slim if we do base up between fighters capabilities.

Theres soo much huge gap between the two and i did really pity out Callum yet he got beaten up but at the same time i was impressed on the dedication and perseverance

That is what I look into him, Canelo can't be rusty because he is getting slowed but he needs to secure first himself of not receiving a hard punch as he knows that his opponent is not an easy guy to lose. We can't underestimate a fighter even we saw that they are good as before, their experience and styles can't say that it won't bring you into KO's. And the good thing is that Canelo allows Callum to survive until 12 round, Callum must be thankful for this.

Saying that Canelo allowed Callum to survive the entire fight felt like you were invalidating his efforts throughout the fight. Despite Canelo being aggressive the whole match, he still was not able to knockout Callum which is a great feat when you are against the best pound-for-pound king in the ring. Still, it was an enjoyable fight and I hope to see more of his action on the ring!

Right, but we all know that there will be a lot of haters out there, Floyd is undefeated, but many wanted him to lose. Similar to this fight, you can't please all the fans, Canelo did the job here, we can even say that it take a lot of effort in him to finish the fight and so is Callum.

Callum was on the backfoot ever since his biceps got dislocated (either in the second round or the third round). He was unable to make powerful punches because of this injury. For me, the match was over at this stage. From that point onwards, Callum was unable to do any aggression and he tried to last as long as possible by taking a defensive stance. Now Canelo could have gone after him for the KO, but he didn't did that. He tried to do a KO, but then eventually in the 12th round settled for an UD.

Canelo keeps coming in, the whole fight and two times he did not sit down because he wants to go to action right away, he is not rusty in fact this is Canelo's best form ever, he is punishing Callum he is not in a hurry to knock Callum Smith he just want to dominate, I think it's his intention not to knock him he just want to extend himself after a very long lay off.

That's how most professional boxers does, they will take some time to finish their opponent and not to rush to knock them out because anything could happen when they do that. But sometimes they forgot such basics and went out to rush to knockout their opponents which result in their defeat like what has happened to Manny Pacquaio when he fought with Marquez in their 4th fight.

Agree with you, Callum has been hit with solid punches but he manage to survive and kodus to him for that. It's not easy when you are on the receiving end of those Canelo's punches. I thought that Callum won't last until the 12 rounds that's why i bet for a Canelo KO and lost but no regrets, that's gambling.

As a fan of boxing i want Canelo to fight GGG to seal the deal or somehow finish the business before GGG reaches 40 or is it ideal that GGG is already old while Canelo is still on it's peak?
