What do you think?

at some point people will be able to walk in a casino and just bet on slot machines with bitcoin?
or play poker using crypto, but irl?

do you think it will become a mass adoption currency or it'll keep as it is on online websites only?

of course some merchants and places already adopt crypto and BTC as a way of payment, but curious here:
how long you think it'll take to reach the point where we can bet in real life places with bitcoin?
As far as I know, there are some physical casinos that does accept some crypto currencies for playing in slots or few other games. At least over here. I have also heard that there are casinos where you can directly exchange bitcoin or crypto currencies for playing chips that you can use it for gambling inside the casino.
I wonder how they work. What if the network is under high load and there are lots of unconfirmed transaction? Do they wait for confirmation? Then again, I guess they pay the highest fee since highly likely they are able to afford it.
But yeah, it won't become mainstream. At least for the next few years. Things would become too much complicated for them.

I think Bitcoin only fits for online casinos not unless if you cash-in it for casino chips. I don’t think that real Casino gamblers will adopt Bitcoin in their gambling lifestyle due to its volatility and they might prefer to use fiat because its more stable or stable coin will do too.
This factor is one reason why real physical casinos won't allow bitcoin to be accepted. But, nothing stops them from adopting it too. If a casino owner starts to invest in bitcoin, acceptance could come. That's one way for a real-life casino to start accepting bitcoin. Another is when a loyal big-time customer suggests it and they will consider it. They might apply it to the only requesting person from the beginning and eventually will allow others to do the same.

The pandemic already made huge damages for the casino business and they might open up new option to make things work and with the cryptocurrency market looking to go higher and bitcoin is rallying and the speculation of the price reaching another all time high valuation you never know what will happen, the casinos might start accepting bitcoin to attract the new cryptocurrency millionaires Wink.

And most gamblers at land-based casinos won't really take that bitcoin payment as a special thing if ever implemented.

They will still use their fiat or credit card to purchase chips on that casino.

But still, a good way to spread words about bitcoin especially at land-based casinos as most of people aren't aware of what bitcoin is.

Complicated question because of few points:

1. for such things there need top level of adoption, because casinos paying taxes it will be needed for bitcoin to be highly adopted by government. I don't want such thing.

2. This is not comfortable, unless you're using Lightning Network.

Can't tell it this time, we are still far into huge crypto market adoption where the use of Bitcoin is still limited in some areas. Yeah, it can be happening soon, but that soon will be a bit longer than we expected, and until such a time that Bitcoin ATM is widely spread in all casinos. If the moment that was already available, gamblers will surely have to try it and conveniently using it.

We can't say it for now,

But I think this is possible for crypto users like us, for non-crypto users, it will be hard to convince them because they might decline due to its volatility. There are lots of things to consider first before we can use bitcoin in real life casinos, but for now it will keep on online websites only.

I think bitcoin is really suitable for online gambling, most gambler will only use it for online gambling only. For those who like gambling to come to the place they will only use money fiat to do so. Because they will think, he has to spend money to buy bitcoin first and walk to the gambling place and he will about fee that will charge and it is quite annoying. Different with money fiat, they don't need to buy anything just come to the gambling place and exchange their money to the chip and then he can play at that time.

I think the main reason why regular casinos don't sell their chips for Bitcoins is primarily the legal prohibitions of the countries where they are located.
The second reason is probably that paying with a Bitcoin wouldn't be in great demand because it's inconvenient and takes much longer than paying with a regular fiat.

Several cryptos are very fast for transactions, moreover Lightning Network allows instant transactions, so I don't think it's the main issue. Concerns are certainly more about AML regulations IMO

But what is the difference between that to online casinos? That is the same, right? If you want to go to an online casino to do some bets, you need to transact money from that site, right? That also will be having these transaction fees, the best approach here is for these banks to have these separate wallets of gamblers so they can just transact once and left some bitcoins they can use next time, right? But I don't think most of us would like that.

Well for me, there is no difference if you will bet online and bet in a real casino [offline], they are the same gambling even though there are pros and cons between them. I am contented as of now to bet online without a real casino and bitcoin payment or use in gambling is very appropriate in online gambling businesses. However, I don't know how the process of using bitcoin in an offline casino, --perhaps, the lightning network will help for microtransaction but I don't know how long it will be confirmed since it is still a low fee.

I do not anticipate that we will soon have physical bitcoin gambling. See it for yourself. Lack of technologies, Government regulations, slow transactions are all the bad factors stop us from opening a real casino using bitcoin.

However, I have heard that some casinos allowing gambler to buy chips with bitcoin. It is a great news. But we need to walk thousands more steps so as to fully implement this innovation. Moreover, many places not even accept gambling. People have to move to other locations in order to participate in real life casino which is less convenient than Internet gambling. So current situation is chill enough for me. Dont expect too much on the government or any physical casinos to accept new payment methods

They can choose bitcoin if they know how to handle its volatility, there's always a stable coin, they can convert that once they receive it.

Bitcoin gives advantage to a casinos as it will attract foreign gamblers which they don't have to convert their fiat to a local fiat which would only reduce the value, and at the same time, convenience since they don't need to bring big money while going into casino, and bitcoin doesn't need any verification when doing an online transaction, as long as the fee is right, that btc will sink into the casino's wallet immediately.

That is why I wrote that this is the second cause. However, it happens to be. How many ordinary casino visitors have heard about Bitcoin? How many have used it, how many people from them will want to create their own lightning node? Chips in casinos can be bought for fiat currency much easier and faster.

I doubt it will be possible for the next few years, maybe the BTC accepted ATM machines will be a temporary solution. The world is not ready for full mass adoption, so it will take time to reach the desired level of adoption. Land-based casinos have made several partnerships with the crypto projects that combine both fiat and crypto payment gateways but none of these partnerships has changed the attitude, unfortunately.

I think Bitcoin only fits for online casinos not unless if you cash-in it for casino chips. I don’t think that real Casino gamblers will adopt Bitcoin in their gambling lifestyle due to its volatility and they might prefer to use fiat because its more stable or stable coin will do too.

That would be the case too.

They could just make their own coin that is based on USD, a digital currency that is centralized and can be exchanged or bought using the gambler's Bitcoin. I think they would accept Bitcoin but I don't think that it would be that easy. Another thing is that these casinos might walk some regulations about these cryptocurrencies before they even consider it.

There are too many obstacles in my opinion for real life casinos to accept Bitcoin, especially for waiting for transaction confirmation
which sometimes takes a long time. Therefore only a few real-life casinos accept Bitcoin as payment, and there are still many people
who don't know Bitcoin. At least now Bitcoin should be used for online casinos. If I play gambling in real life casinos, I will also prefer
to use fiat currency, because it is simpler and faster.

Let us give more time for bitcoin to be accepted in the casino. I don't know what regulation to install the ATM machines in every country because it will differentiate between countries. The world itself still suffers from anticipating the covid virus, which doesn't know when it will end, and all governments still struggle to find the vaccine/antidote. Giving them time to the land-based casino can help them solve their problem in this pandemic because they need to get their members back first before they promote the other thing.

If everything can be normal as usual, the casino will slowly take a chance to apply the crypto or integrate its system with the crypto to give a new experience to its members. After that, we might see a growth in the crypto adoption process in many places.

That is one factor in which may deliver delays in our playing time,So i think this will hinder this to be implemented.

. Therefore only a few real-life casinos accept Bitcoin as payment, and there are still many people
who don't know Bitcoin.
And i think instead of accepting Bitcoin or even other crypto altcoins in Gambling casinos then why not just Put Crypto ATM machines inside casino houses.
At least now Bitcoin should be used for online casinos. If I play gambling in real life casinos, I will also prefer
to use fiat currency, because it is simpler and faster.
And not volatile, because what if that very moment that we wanna play is the market go Bullying and the prices increased more than 100% ,why risk the growing value when you can just use Fiat.
