I doubt it will be possible for the next few years, maybe the BTC accepted ATM machines will be a temporary solution. The world is not ready for full mass adoption, so it will take time to reach the desired level of adoption. Land-based casinos have made several partnerships with the crypto projects that combine both fiat and crypto payment gateways but none of these partnerships has changed the attitude, unfortunately.
Let us give more time for bitcoin to be accepted in the casino. I don't know what regulation to install the ATM machines in every country because it will differentiate between countries. The world itself still suffers from anticipating the covid virus, which doesn't know when it will end, and all governments still struggle to find the vaccine/antidote. Giving them time to the land-based casino can help them solve their problem in this pandemic because they need to get their members back first before they promote the other thing.

If everything can be normal as usual, the casino will slowly take a chance to apply the crypto or integrate its system with the crypto to give a new experience to its members. After that, we might see a growth in the crypto adoption process in many places.
I think the spread of the Covid 19 virus is from the touch that occurs, therefore to avoid direct contact with humans, bitcoin ATMs can use a voice system and scan QR codes, including for casino gambling by means of QR scans and the sound system, the machine will hear the sound "Yes / No" to make transactions so that it will reduce the spread of covid 19.

For regulatory rules, Bitcoin ATMs should not need such regulations because from the very beginning, the creation of bitcoin stated that bitcoin could not be controlled by anything so that from that understanding, bitcoin should not need regulation.

I think the technology for bitcoin ATM using the voice system is not ready yet because that needs more development. But I don't know if the ATM already uses that feature to minimize user contact by touching the ATM. If that is available, that can help spread from touching something, and if many local stores can use the digital payment, that really helps us reduce the new case.

I don't know about regulations for bitcoin ATM because if one country doesn't allow the use of crypto, I think the provider needs to ask the government about installing the bitcoin ATM in one place. If no need to have regulations, I think the provider can ask for the local store or local merchant to install the ATM in their place.

Betting with bitcoin in real-life casinos is still rare, even in some countries that legalize bitcoin.
It seems that for now, that desire will be difficult to realize because of the pandemic. People don’t want to go out of the house to see anyone.
While most people are now happier online, especially for gambling, gamblers feel safer if they gamble online using bitcoin and other cryptos.
The place of gambling in actual life, even many are closed because of the quiet visitors. Gambling business owners prefer to open their businesses online using bitcoin.

I think Bitcoin only fits for online casinos not unless if you cash-in it for casino chips. I don’t think that real Casino gamblers will adopt Bitcoin in their gambling lifestyle due to its volatility and they might prefer to use fiat because its more stable or stable coin will do too.
This factor is one reason why real physical casinos won't allow bitcoin to be accepted. But, nothing stops them from adopting it too. If a casino owner starts to invest in bitcoin, acceptance could come. That's one way for a real-life casino to start accepting bitcoin. Another is when a loyal big-time customer suggests it and they will consider it. They might apply it to the only requesting person from the beginning and eventually will allow others to do the same.
The pandemic already made huge damages for the casino business and they might open up new option to make things work and with the cryptocurrency market looking to go higher and bitcoin is rallying and the speculation of the price reaching another all time high valuation you never know what will happen, the casinos might start accepting bitcoin to attract the new cryptocurrency millionaires Wink.
Yep, I agree we never know what will happen. It's on them if they want to accept bitcoin soon and to adopt a new setting for them to continue servicing their customers.

I think the main reason why regular casinos don't sell their chips for Bitcoins is primarily the legal prohibitions of the countries where they are located.
The second reason is probably that paying with a Bitcoin wouldn't be in great demand because it's inconvenient and takes much longer than paying with a regular fiat.
Valid reasons and those are true, I agree with those.

For regulatory rules, Bitcoin ATMs should not need such regulations because from the very beginning, the creation of bitcoin stated that bitcoin could not be controlled by anything so that from that understanding, bitcoin should not need regulation.

Bitcoin itself does not require regulation other than the existing protocol in the bitcoin network, but for ATM machines that are used as containers, their existence must meet the requirements based on the regulations determined by each country. Because after all, a bitcoin atm that functions as a currency dealer or exchanger is considered a money services business, so it is necessary to register with the institution that oversees it.

For example in America, Bitcoin ATM is regulated and supervised by Fincen, so the service from the Bitcoin ATM machine needs to register with Fincen to be able to operate legally.

Most definitely, any business dealing with fiat exchange to any currency required permit from the government, in our country the permit is taken from the Central Bank, without it, an operator can't operate the business legally.

What do you think?

at some point people will be able to walk in a casino and just bet on slot machines with bitcoin?
or play poker using crypto, but irl?

do you think it will become a mass adoption currency or it'll keep as it is on online websites only?

of course some merchants and places already adopt crypto and BTC as a way of payment, but curious here:
how long you think it'll take to reach the point where we can bet in real life places with bitcoin?

This will only happen when crypto and bitcoin is 100% accepted everywhere. Fiat become obsolete and paper money is left with no value n just a piece of paper. That will be the time that we will see crypto currencies being used in all physical and online casinos and everywhere.
For this we might have to wait for a decade or more because this transition from fiat to crypto will not happen in a day.

May be some of the countries where it is legal may encourage to have bitcoin as well as a payment, but not heard much about such casinos. 2021 may be the year where atleast some of casinos would start accepting bitcoin as well in the casinos and we all could use the bitcoin in real casinos as well rather than just fiat.

Let's just hope by 2021 they would consider adding this feature to physical casinos but until now I can't imagine how will casino will adopt the cryptocurrency to their games or such thing as poker or the slots plus the transaction fee and the volatility of the Bitcoin.

As long as there are digital currency and  there is online casinos, we can bet our bitcoin. As long as they are supported by crypto banks then we will be able to bet with our own bitcoins. We can't predict how long we can use bitcoin in real life casinos because in the next 5 years or 10 years, many will change in terms of the rules and regulations of the casinos so we can't really give exact date when would it be.

There is a possibility that they will add this features on their physical casinos because as time passes by many people are getting knowledgeable about cryptocurrency and they are accepting it as a chips whenever they are playing casino games just like baccarats and dices, but let's just hope that it will be add as an features of an physical casino.

Phisycal casinos Real casinos will certainly implement bitcoin but must consider government regulations and players' interest in bitcoin. Because in my opinion, the two types of games according to the payment system are likely to be separate and of course this requires the cost of procuring new inventory in the casino.

Let's just hope by 2021 they would consider adding this feature to physical casinos but until now I can't imagine how will casino will adopt the cryptocurrency to their games or such thing as poker or the slots plus the transaction fee and the volatility of the Bitcoin.
If bitcoin is to be implemented in phisycal casinos, it should be a unit of its own and not need to be compared to fiat to make it more efficient and fair. And as far as I know in phisycal casinos, gamblers have to convert fiat into chips according to the amount to play. It will also be more profitable for gamblers to avoid transaction fees.

Indeed.

Most of the gamblers online have never been in a casino before due to their own reasons, but I assume that it is because they don't want to be bold enough to let others see them that they are playing in casino or into gambling. Nobody wants to be judge by someone or even their own families, because they think that all of the gamblers are irresponsible (well most of them, but not all).

So even if this will be applied in a real casino, having Bitcoin as a bet, I think there will be only few players that'll use this method since not all of people in the casino doesn't even know what Bitcoin is and what's the real value of it. Besides, playing in a real casino is too hassle and demanding in my opinion.

There are too many obstacles in my opinion for real life casinos to accept Bitcoin, especially for waiting for transaction confirmation
which sometimes takes a long time. Therefore only a few real-life casinos accept Bitcoin as payment, and there are still many people
who don't know Bitcoin. At least now Bitcoin should be used for online casinos. If I play gambling in real life casinos, I will also prefer
to use fiat currency, because it is simpler and faster.
When confirmation take long time you need sleeping there for playing in casino, maybe not effective bet with bitcoin in real life casino because how transaction sending bitcoin take long time for receiving. When bitcoin have higher price you need more than one hour for your transaction is process and completed, does waiting for more than one hour without can betting any more in casino? Just use fiat or cash money is better because you can play when do you want without waiting for your payment confirmation like using bitcoin. Maybe you have come early to sent bitcoin first and back after your sending payment have confirmation. I think is not effective when you win in casino and convert your coin become bitcoin have waiting again because bitcoin will take confirmation when you receiving payment transaction from casino team  Grin Grin

yes it will be widespread soon but only time could tell. as i've seen many people are still ignorant about Bitcoin and cryptocurrency but we might not know soon it will be widespread since some companies like paypal are already implementing cryptocurrency.

let's hope we could use cryptocurrency to physical casinos.

What do you think?

with this lack of regulation it will be very difficult for this to happen. many countries look at casinos with bad eyes because of money laundering, now imagine how it would be to add bitcoin that is pseudo anonymity in this salad that is already bad view?

at some point people will be able to walk in a casino and just bet on slot machines with bitcoin?
or play poker using crypto, but irl?

for that to happen it would have to reach the level where even bitcoin wallets would have to implement the KYC damn and there are issues of volatility and slowness that bitcoin has

do you think it will become a mass adoption currency or it'll keep as it is on online websites only?

It is inevitable that bitcoin will be adopted en masse, if even paypal is already accepting bitcoin, then more other giants will accept bitcoin

how long you think it'll take to reach the point where we can bet in real life places with bitcoin?

honestly i think will take many years.

bitcoin is over 9 years old and has grown a lot in terms of adoption, but has not progressed in terms of regulation (laws on bitcoin)

Just my opinion, I find gambling using bitcoins as a waste. Bitcoins are precious resources that has the potential to double-triple its price in the unforeseeable future. As a metaphor, it is like your gambling away your stocks in casinos that have a very unreliable chance for you to win. Though if you are that eager to gamble, then again, I would not judge your choices.

Well, gambling is also considered an art and one gambling is one of the precious activity to the life of a gambler. Actually, using bitcoin in a gambling is a big help. If you want to be anonymously without also getting notice to get into bigger bets by those chips around that are visible. This is why other gambling casino are using online betting through a digital currency controlled by a private key but it is not cryptocurrency. It was I think an upgrade of old casino platform like from traditional casino to e-casino.

@qwertyup23
I also consider a waste to gamble with a deflationary asset but others may have a different opinion.

@jademaxsuy

sorry, but gambling is not an art.
Seth Godin can say it better than I:

Quote
If you can’t replicate the work and get the same outcome, then it’s not science.

If you can replicate the work and get the same outcome, it’s not art.

we could argue that good poker playing or skill games have an artistic component, but still quite far than to say gambling is a form of art.

(funny that I was talking to a friend today that eSports aren't sports.... but this is a topic for another thread)

For those who have ever been to a good regular casino game in online casino will not be so colorful.
Of course, if you play at online casinos, payment in Bitcoin is the most convenient thing you can come up with. You do not need to use your plastic card and no one will know your real name. In regular casinos the payment with Bitcoin does not make much sense to me. And at the moment payment in Bitcoin is even less convenient.

do you think it will become a mass adoption currency or it'll keep as it is on online websites only?

of course some merchants and places already adopt crypto and BTC as a way of payment, but curious here:
how long you think it'll take to reach the point where we can bet in real life places with bitcoin?

I think this is a question for several years. Maximum 10. But this is not a joyous prospect. I see that bitcoin is becoming more and more regulated, everywhere a KYC is required, everywhere there is tracking of suspicious transactions, etc. I think that in a few years we will see that the entire infrastructure of bitcoin is censored and centralized. Under these conditions, you will not see the difference when using fiat money or bitcoin.

Until we see that Bitcoin transaction is speed has improved and the transaction fee is lower, we will have no chance no chance to see Bitcoin being used in a real life casinos, and the possibility is very remote right now, there are so many Bitcoin transaction going on that some transactions takes longer than 10 hours to get confirm, something that is not acceptable in a real life gambling.

I'm pretty sure that this is already in the table because gambling operators are now seeing the potential of cryptocurrencies and if there is a market then for sure they will find way to adopt and make profit from that.
Until we see that Bitcoin transaction is speed has improved and the transaction fee is lower, we will have no chance no chance to see Bitcoin being used in a real life casinos, and the possibility is very remote right now, there are so many Bitcoin transaction going on that some transactions takes longer than 10 hours to get confirm, something that is not acceptable in a real life gambling.
nope there is no need for those to be updated because cryptocurrencies will be an option for gamblers meaning they will still bring their fiat or credit cards when in houses,so the speed and fee i think would not be a matter for denial.
