I think that it is most convenient for gambling houses to use fiat money as it allows them to carry out many profitable schemes.
For example, if casino clients use fiat money for betting, the casino can easily hide part of their income before the tax authorities. Also working with fiat money casinos can launder illegal income from other illegal areas.
Actually if they accept crypto they can even more easily hide the winnings and evade taxes. In fact a lot of players online bet online with crypto currency because they can win millions and yet don't have to pay taxes and no one knows if they won such amounts. Same goes with casino they can hide your losses and avoid taxes so I believe a casino that is using fiat to evade taxes can actually use crypto more efficiently. Personally, I do not see any problems with anonymity. All you have to do is pretend that you have never used BTC before.
Then there are coin mixers who can send you fresh coins if you want and it becomes near impossible to get tracked so yeah anonymity must not be a big problem.

~ how long you think it'll take to reach the point where we can bet in real life places with bitcoin?
This boils down to the country's regulation about bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. These land based casinos are also cautious when it comes to the payment methods because they are heavily regulated. They didn't get their license from Curacao or any other jurisdiction with less credibility. Someone already pointed out the casino in Cyprus and two others in Las Vegas. Hopefully these regulators will be up to speed because institutional investors buying bitcoin are increasing and more traditional platforms are implementing btc into their payment systems

Wow really? That must be a great news and please can you list those casinos or if you want to remain anonymous that's fine but I will google and try to find if there actually exist casinos where they take payment in crypto. I honestly had no idea such casinos exist and this is a massive step towards adoption of bitcoins because online casinos although great have not even close to the number of gamblers that visit real life casinos. But that being said, I always believed that we can cash our crypto and play with that money on the casinos so not a big thing but having crypto payments directly will really bloom the gambling industry.

<...> Cashless is really getting the attentions of most people and with those gamblers who already knew how bitcoin / crypto works they'll be able to influence landbase casino owners to adopt and add this system. we're probably moving for cashless societies fast in the upcoming years. it'smuch easier for governments and central bankers to tax and control like that. the big question is if crypto will conquer this position in society before fiat version of digital currencies. more on that here (beautifully written by Daniel Jeffries): https://hackernoon.com/gamifying-the-delivery-of-money-c55c25cecaee

The second reason is probably that paying with a Bitcoin wouldn't be in great demand because it's inconvenient and takes much longer than paying with a regular fiat.
Several cryptos are very fast for transactions, moreover Lightning Network allows instant transactions, so I don't think it's the main issue. Concerns are certainly more about AML regulations IMO That is why I wrote that this is the second cause. However, it happens to be. How many ordinary casino visitors have heard about Bitcoin? How many have used it, how many people from them will want to create their own lightning node? Chips in casinos can be bought for fiat currency much easier and faster. Yes you're right, but if you want to gamble undeclared or illegal money, it's more convenient to bring a smartphone than huge amounts of banknotes.

Yes you're right, but if you want to gamble undeclared or illegal money, it's more convenient to bring a smartphone than huge amounts of banknotes. I always play on honestly earned money so I have nothing to hide or hide. I think that someone who has dishonestly earned Bitcoins is unlikely to go to an ordinary casino. After all, there are cameras installed there and if he is wanted by the police at his Bitcoin address they will easily find information about what he looks like and can further identify him.

And yeah, i am also concerned if will crypto will conquer or be the main transaction mode of payment where as far as i know Russia and China now have already launched their own digital currency and not impossible that other country will create their own too.

in some places specially Las Vegas there are many Bitcoin ATM that exist so any time we need cash it is accessible to withdraw.

I don't think this is possible at our time now because the whole world has just being recovering from the pandemic effect and for sure no casino houses are afford to upgrade for now . do you think it will become a mass adoption currency or it'll keep as it is on online websites only?
what Mass adoption just because of Bitcoin can be use in casinos?where did you get that idea? it is not happening just like that. of course some merchants and places already adopt crypto and BTC as a way of payment, but curious here: how long you think it'll take to reach the point where we can bet in real life places with bitcoin?

I think that is possible because we know that bitcoin adaptation is visible to other areas of the country. We know that it is good when bitcoin is adapted not only to the bitcoin community but also to the one who will going to use bitcoin as part of their advancement having a secured and irreversible transactions. Many had thought of this to be integrated but I think it needs some platform that could be use to transact bitcoin and fiat conversion vice versa.

I would not say so. The fact is that the use of cryptocurrencies is not welcomed in many countries. Somewhere, working with cryptocurrencies may raise questions from government agencies, which may eventually lead to inspections, investigations and bad consequences. many countries do not allow Bitcoin as a means of payment but still allow it to be used as an "asset". in fact, it will be easier to monitor and very trusted if the casino business owner who uses Bitcoin, pays taxes.. I am very sure that in the next few years, Bitcoin will begin to be used as an exchange (a type of coin) in many casinos to make it easier for users, and for a sure casino owners will make 2 options, users can play on online sites or on land-based (offline) of that crypto gambling business..

There are already many such platforms, these are trading platforms and various exchangers that change crypto and fiat in all directions. The problem is that working with fiat implies KYC and all other disadvantages of the fiat world, such as taxes. And if you use bitcoin in conjunction with such platforms, then you deprive it of these benefits.

Until we see that Bitcoin transaction is speed has improved and the transaction fee is lower, we will have no chance no chance to see Bitcoin being used in a real life casinos, and the possibility is very remote right now, there are so many Bitcoin transaction going on that some transactions takes longer than 10 hours to get confirm, something that is not acceptable in a real life gambling.
I can't imagine as well if a gambler can afford to wait, though not all the times it went that bad but that would be a factor to consider, and this something hopeless to come in real life instead of using fiat. Because for me, I also not use Bitcoin, I shouldn't be waiting that long just for the seek of gambling. But anyway, this is just a kind of proposal. Some may be expecting this while others don't, but the chance is not clear since the majority never sees that kind of possibility. And if there are no changes in the confirmation process, this could lead gamblers to choose the fiat instead.

It's uncommon, but from 2019 on it's already a reality in Las Vegas (The D Casino Hotel and The Golden Gate Hotel & Casino) and Cyprus (Merit Hotel Nicosia). Very few land based casinos give their customers this chance, but that is something is going to change soon as crypto currency becomes more integrated to our daily life. Actually I expect not only wealthy casinos adopt it, but also the popular ones. https://translegalpipeline.com/2019/11/where-can-gamblers-play-land-based-casino-slots-with-bitcoin/It would be a big marketing advertisement for other casinos to adopt the changes. It would also be hard for the customers who will use the bitcoin slot machine for example because the value of bitcoin is volatile. I am unsure if it will be a profit for the casinos or it will be a loss when the price of the bitcoin drops. The capital initiated to it will be a loss for some quite of time before it would turn back again into plenty customers.

This can happen in your country then Bitcoin will soon be use in real life casinos. Though with the current momentum from Bitcoin could be a helping hands for this to be actualize, with the growing rate of adoption in the land with Bitcoin and major mainstream industries and institutions getting into the industry will surely bring into play this usage of Bitcoin in real life as it has started in your country.

I'm not sure about that, on blockchain you can just see adresses and nothing else, so nobody knows what you have done or sold to get those coins. So what you are saying only applies to major traffickers IMO. Moreover mixer services offer a pretty good anonymity.
