Once Bitcoin is getting stable with its price for sure Altcoins will follow too. And this already started now, Bitcoin was being followed by Ethereum (ETH), and now the Ripple which we can see it's surging at this very moment. There are others of Altcoins too that are starting to surge now.

Yes, seems BTC keep stable at around 18k. Now Ethereum and some top alts started grow too. a\After this should start grow small alts with micro cap.

We must be optimistic in believing that a big bull market is coming, but every time we think about Altseason we are frustrated with the big corrections and retreat of the big investors and whales. On the other hand, pessimism leads nowhere and makes us wrong and that is why we must be neutral and wait for progress and where we can find the stabilization of the charts and how far the market energy will reach. It's still too early to define.

The last time the Bitcoin hit this price, this forum and social media were full of newbies, brand new ICO's every hour, spammers, bounty hunters...

This time it really seems different, as to me the forum seems quite empty in comparison, and I miss many of the profiles in social media that three years ago used to post on a daily basis.

On the other hand, my meek twitter account gets very hardly ever a new follower, while I would say that I tweet more often than before, while in 2017 I had new followers every day.

To me, this is really a positive indicator long growing way ahead...

I agree with you for the present situation. But sooner or later there will be the next hype, especially when the prices continue to rise as they have done over the last months. The media is slowly going to cover Bitcoin and Crypto price surge again. So the fishes are slowly coming back into the shark tank. So much remembers to the situation in late 2016 and early 2017. However the situation is slightly different, we now have a lot of companies (for instance Paypal) and much more institutional investors then three years ago.

Well, everytime Bitcoin will become stable at a very good price it's already a sign that Altcoins will be followed but sometimes it still depends on the project like what you are saying about HEX. There are factors to consider also if Altcoins will follow Bitcoin or not.

I do think this year is a good year for Altcoin investors. As you can see the prices of top 10 coins all have been up especially Ripple and Ethereum.

Is the leveling (and steadying) of Bitcoin a sure sign that an alt season is about to come?

the word "Alt Season" came from what happen in 2017-2018 when Bitcoin took the whole last quarter of 2017 and then ultimately Altcoins follow in 2018 leading by Ethereum that also hit the ATH in January of 2018.

Does anyone think there's anything to worry about with regards to growth being too fast and another potential "bubble" situation?

What is being fast?the Pump that supposedly expected mid of this year if the Corona Virus did now spread the whole world.

But if it is true that there will be an earthquake in the world economy. All markets will be chaotic and will turn to bitcoin. In other places I try to be realistic and optimistic that the day will come and that I might buy an island to live in.
