I feel they kind of do already internally

I too would like to know what Errors and Utility means exactly..

Also some pointers and suggestions on when and why we might even need to restart a miner?  

I noticed the other day I had a miner down and when I tried to just restart that one miner, it seemed to reastart the whole 10 pack..  So Info on how all this works would be good.

I have been pretty much trying not to touch anything in the UI now that my 20 pack is running good..  Dont want to break anything or cause downtime to myself..  

My understanding is that "errors" value means hardware errors.  Utility is somewhat questionable.  I believe cpuminer doesn't report correct hashrate for gridseeds, cgminer does, "utility" may be derived based on accepts/rejects, however locally I see weird "utility" values from cgminer.

Restart probably restarts controller, so it looks like each 10-pack has its own controller (I noticed the same thing, restart one miner, and the whole 10-pack goes for restart).  Also I think you have to restart controller/miners to update pool (at least that's what I do locally using RasPi).

You are on point with each ten pack having it's own controller. Also just a fyi. I know I when the UI first came on line I went through and started restarting units showing red. Well because I didn't know ALL the units on the same controller would restart together and were not individually controlled I basically cue'd up a bunch of restarts on the same units. They emailed me and explained how it worked and it now makes much more sense and no problems.


I would really like to see a option for adding back-up pools as that's fairly important to keep the pods going at all times.

I've had sort of bad experiences with zoomhash and hash-master with obtaining 10 packs of gridseeds.  I placed an order with gawminer yesterday for a 10 pack as the price was down to $1695 shipped for the "kit".

Today rolls around and my order still hadn't shipped so I contacted them tonight after checking their site and noticed they now had the 10 packs hosted for a year for the same price.  I emailed my rep (Josiah) and asked if I could get my order converted to a hosted order since it didn't ship out today.  I then ordered another hosted 10 pack on top of that (and pointed them both at magepool).  I got an email back 20 minutes later from Josh stating that both were setup and mining to my pool.  After verifying this was true I commended them on the excellent support (at 9pm eastern time nonetheless).

I was very happy with the service from them as they've been the opposite of most vendors I've dealt with lately in our industry.  Josh helped he out a ton tonight and I greatly appreciate him help me get this up and running ASAP.

We have a few day lead time on cases and we plan to continue to shorten this. We actually bought spotswood production line, so we are now the exclusive provider This will allow him to produce his high quality case at scale! It will take him a bit to ramp up production.

GAW Miners Updates!

Hi Everyone,

We have not given a proper update in a while. So here it goes!

These last two weeks have been crazy. From some of the best conversations with customers that I have ever had, to running to the post office with 100 boxes ten minutes before closing, to talking to my staff at 3:00 in the morning while they fell asleep on the phone, and to receiving some of the best feedback I have ever read.

It's been a fun ride so far, and it has only started.

I found out today, that our competitors are actually buying misspellings of our domain names and forwarding them to their website to try and capture business and keep up with us. It made me stop and think "we are doing something right". But, after that thought passed, I realized that was only partway true. If it had not been for this community, we would be not be here today. Many companies' say that. But, I think it's true here more then ever. People here gave us a chance. And, it will be a privilege we will always need to keep earning.

I think competition is the best thing for business. When business have to compete, they have to out perform. When they get complacent, customers' leave, and new companies rise up out of nowhere and make change. As our company grows, I know we can always count on you to keep us moving. To never allow us to become complacent and to never take for granted where we have come from.

All I can say is "thanks again". Thanks for expecting us to do what we say we will and being patient with us when we needed to catch up. I will continue to believe we have received more than we deserve.

There are so many new and exciting things coming, but I wanted to keep this update focused on just a few.

Referral Program- We will be starting a referral program soon. Over 50% of our business is repeat customers. And, most of our new customers come as referrals from those customers. I have been looking for an interesting and different way of rewarding those customers. We have more details soon, but it will be new and fresh. I will also make it retroactive. So, if you have referred business to us in the past, and we can confirm the referral purchases with you, you will received 100% of the upside.

Hosting Rentals- Part of the upgrade we just performed was adding four digits of hashing power .  We will be offering customers the ability to buy hashing power in any configuration they want. We will even be rewarding our customers that have referred business to us with it. More on that soon.

Just wanted to say that I have been very pleased with GAWminers.  They are now hosting both a 10 pack and a blade for me.  Portal is working fine and I can see all my miners.  They have remained stable, much more so than my GPU's at home.  I'll continue to do more business with them as they really treat the customer with care and personal attention.

I love it. I know since I started using the UI I haven't had to call or email you guys at all, the savings from me alone must be staggering . 

One question when/how often do the stats for the miner's reset. I have a 10 pack that the stats just reset back to 0 in nearly all fields, then I have another 10 pack who's stats have not been reset. I have not had to restart any of the pods manually.

I'm also pleased with the new ClientUI (thou down now...) But I'm more interested in how long your "Same Day Activation" works because I bought 10 pod yesterday (29 hours ago) and they haven't been online yet

Are others getting their pods online within the 24hour time frame?
