It won't and it's still competing, maybe there are coins that also competing.

But from what we are seeing ETH still have the 2nd top spot for now they've got lots of complain since the high fees are really killing small traders but in due time when updates happened and if this high fees are being taking care for sure it will move back again and will regain those old supporters to use the system again.

I dont see that ETH could die in the near future, because of several reasons:

1) It has too much of a cult around it, it has been around too long.
2) it still is the king , most of the new and promising projects are exclusively on ETH
3) Many companies , projects are working to resolve the high gas problems

Yes, BSC and others are coming after it, but they have a long way to go for that.

I think that's not possible. I know in 2012-2023 people think that this whole crypto space is nothing but a scam. Still some people think like that  I can understand that if you don't know enough about it you would feel that's a scam. But now ethereum proved everything.  And how much it's important for this market  and I think in future it will be more popular and important for this crypto space.

It's not going to die anytime soon. Look at the market cap. The gap between Ethereum and the third largest cryptocurrency is so huge. But that doesn't mean that there is no meaningful competition to Ethereum right now. Competing chains are now poaching a lot of projects that would have otherwise gone to ERC-20. And the Ethereum developers only have themselves to blame. They are deaf to the issues faced by Ethereum users for the last 2-3 years. They don't really care about the users.

I am a long term supporter  of Ethereum and  know that it is the most trusted network to create smart contracts but the kind of Huge fees for withdrawal and swapping of tokens, we have to nowadays due to slow network or congestion , is going to make it unpopular coin in coming months and other networks like, Binance, EOS, Polka Dot may take its place . The issue with Ethereum is that its developers are trying to scale running Blockchain which is like repairing a car while driving.

ethereum wont fall. ethereum is the mother of all alternative coins in theres no way that eth will be gone. ethereum platform is very good to use and a multi coin support erc20 . huge fees for ethereum is quite frustrating sometimes but eth all went well if your investment is high it will be good to invest it in ethereum.
